The Florida lung and sleep Apnea is a very caring office…read more Cares about patients and is very thorough to my apnea needs See ya next year!!!!

Dr. Juan Carlos Rodriguez barely qualifies as a doctor. All he cares about is collecting Medicare…read moreand Medicaid Payments. He's consistently an hour late to appointments and spends two minutes on the actual patient assessment. Once, he called us at 1:10pm for a 12:00pm Telehealth Appointment. And he's extremely impatient when we ask questions. He doesn't want questions. He just wants us to keep making follow-up appointments every 6 months. My mother has been seeing him for over 4 years. She doesn't speak English so I accompany every visit as her translator. On June 12, 2025, we visited his clinic, Florida Lung & Sleep Apnea Center in Pembroke Pines for a routine breathing test and follow-up to review the results of my mom's CT scan. We were prepared for his tardiness and impatient responses but we were not prepared for what happened next at that visit. As expected, he looked at her Radiology Report quickly and said everything was fine and wants us to come back in 6 months. But my mother's primary doctor noticed a grave error on the Radiology Report. The report compared my mother's January 2025 CT Scan results to her results in 2020. It completely missed the fact that she's had CT scans twice a year for the least 4 years. When we asked Dr. Juan Carlos Rodriguez why did he compare her recent 2025 CT scans to one that was completed in 2020, he kept trying to tell us that it didn't matter. And then he blamed the imaging center. But we pressed on because he's the pulmonologist. If he isn't analyzing the correct comparisons, how can his diagnosis be accurate? We were not angry. And we never raised our voice. I'm there to advocate for my mother. She had questions and I'm there to translate. But Dr. Juan Gonzalez became visibly upset. He threw the reports we handed him in the air and threw my 74 year-old mother and I out of his office and said he will not explain himself to us. He threw us out of his office after taking Payment via Medicare. I informed him this is basically malpractice and Medicare fraud, and we will be reporting this to CMS, the DOH, and Memorial Health System. Most of his patient population seems to be elderly and on Medicare. He is preying on the elderly and the weak. This isn't right. There needs to be consequences for the way he treats his patients. Reading and executing on inaccurate reports may be an error. But not taking responsibility for his mistakes that may gravely affect his patient's health is unacceptable.

I…read morehave followed him from Cleveland Clinic to Integrated Sleep because he is, without question, one of the most dedicated and compassionate physicians I have ever encountered. He and his wife genuinely care about every patient who walks through their doors, and that sincerity is reflected in the way their entire team operates. The staff consistently goes above and beyond, whether it's assisting with scheduling, helping navigate insurance issues, or simply making sure patients feel supported. On more than one occasion, they have fought on my behalf when coverage was denied, and they have seen me on a moment's notice when urgent concerns came up. Dr. Ramirez's commitment is extraordinary. He arrives hours before the office opens to prepare for the day, takes meticulous notes, and approaches treatment with a realistic, thoughtful perspective that inspires confidence. His dedication, kindness, and professionalism have made an immeasurable difference in my health and peace of mind. I am truly grateful for Dr. Ramirez and his team. They are exceptional in every way.

Dr. Jose F. Ramirez may be a capable physician, but I cannot speak highly of the way he and his…read morewife run their practice. I worked at his clinic in Miramar as a receptionist and was fired with no warning after only three months--despite showing up, doing my work, and receiving little guidance or clarity. I took three sick days--legitimate, documented--and was told I was "unreliable." Yet lateness and inconsistency were common across the staff. When I asked for a written explanation (for unemployment), I was ignored for two weeks and then sent a vague response and a link to the unemployment website. This office doesn't seem to value transparency, empathy, or basic professional respect--even to those representing their front desk. Patients should be aware of the kind of workplace culture they're supporting. That speaks volumes about how people are treated behind the scenes.
