This review is for Karaoke night. I enjoyed the history of the winery. Nice atmosphere and ambiance. Winery is very old. Their Merlot was good. I liked it. $26 per bottle. No food other than Cousins Maine Lobster truck. Line was very long. We were unable to get food. Bummer. Karaoke was crowded. Limited seating. Older crowd. It was pretty entertaining. I miss their wine coolers or wine spritzers. They were delicious.

I have been researching cucamonga valley wineries .... Cant believe we used to have the largest winery , even bigger than today's Napa ! JFW is one the few wineries left in the area It's sad to read that Mr Filippi will be retiring and looking to sell his business. Go visit JFW before it's too late

I don't drink alcohol, so I can't give you a review on their wines. What I can tell you about this establishment is that , it's local in Rancho Cucamonga close to North Fontana in the Inland Empire ( Southern California) off the 15 Freeway exit Baseline Rd. Ample parking spaces , pricing are comparable to other wine companies. Great discounts if you join their Free! Membership. I do highly recommend it even if you don't drink like myself. Makes for great gifting these bottle of wines. They also offer wine tasting tours . Saw some wedding pamphlets as well . Staff here are awesome , friendly and engaging as I am observing them from afar . Tonight I was here for a charity event that was held in one of their event room. ( comedy night benefiting relay for life of inland empire west ) Bathroom clean , event room decorated with wine barrels. use your imagination it's an empty canvas , to host your next gatherings here. Definitely will become a member just because the staff / environment didn't make me feel uncomfortable walking into one of these establishments since I know nothing about wine or alcohol in general.

We went to Joseph Filippi Winery & Vineyards saturday around noon time . Our server was so good and personable! her name is Ginger I wish i can remember the other lady name both were excellent and welcoming, absolutely lovely service. the place is nice and clean. This was my first visit so here is my honest review and I'm giving a 5* review because of the service and good wine. -The entrance of the winery needs some work or decor, doesnt look inviting. -This winery does nto have outside seating area if you like to enjoy a glass of wine you cant seat outside there are no seats or benches to enjoy a glass of wine out doors. - You can buy crackers there but I will suggest bring your own cheese and crackers , you can order and have food deliver if you like , they have that option but this place DO NOT OFFER FOOD only wine tasting. -the tasting bar area there are no bar stools to seat you have to stand up the entire time. there is a big couch you can seat there , but I will hope this place will have bar stools for customer to seat it will be nice to be able to seat or small tables with chairs that will be nice specially if you are on a date or bringing company over for wine tasting. ABOUT THE WINE SELECTION : The wine was very good . I would totally recommend this place EXCELLETN WINE , the sweet wines are delicious. My expereince was good and the wine excellent and the service THE BEST!!! Ginger is amazing.

    Racist wine tender

I left and didn't finish the tasting because I was completely ignored during the wine tasting. I saw him chit chat and pour more frequently with all the older white patrons. I am quite sure it was racism as the older white wine tender was repeatedly pouring for white patrons and people who just arrived. I watched it all happen in front of me. Do not visit if you look young and Asian or you are not old and white. It is not worth it to feel the discrimination. The grounds are not even beautiful and worth a visit. I've done tastings at wineries throughout California, Oregon, Texas, France, Hungary, and the Hunter Valley in Australia and this is a first -- well maybe one snooty winery I visited in Santa Barbara when I was in my early 20s. A total waste of $10. Instead go to Galleano Winery where they are not racist, people are friendlier, there's live entertainment, abd the overall wine tasting experience is so much better.

If you enjoy fine wine, delicious food and a sense for adventure, the Joseph Filippi Winery in Rancho Cucamonga is a great place to visit. I recently visited JFW to sample their wines and their Taco Tuesday menu. My hour-long trek there was well worth it. JSW has been around since 1922 and on Taco Tuesdays, Chef Felipe Delapiedra caters an exciting menu of tasty culinary treats at a reasonable price. Served from 5-8 pm, the specialty item on my visit was Cochinita Pibil, a traditional slow roasted pork delicacy from the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Other taco choices included Mushrooms, Carnitas, Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Chicken Mole. The Cochinita Pibil tacos were prepared perfectly and served with delicious red onions, rice and beans. I also tried the chicken mole nachos, and it was a mountain size amount of mouthwatering chicken, mole, cheese, and chips. Looking at other plates being served, the portions were very generous, and the food is excellent. A burrito plate being served next to me was humongous and could easily two people. The ambiance at JFW is casual, friendly and comforting. I purchased a bottle of JSW Merlot, and I really enjoyed it. There is a free parking lot surrounding the winery and a beautiful picnic area. There is an outdoor patio area and indoor dining options. The customer service was exceptional. Having Taco Tuesday at the charming historical JFW was a nice bonus to the tasty culinary experience and a sense of adventure that I will not soon forget. Cheers to Chef Felipe and JSW!

It was a pleasure to tour the winery today and visit with Joseph Filippi and the team. It is like walking into historic Rancho Cucamonga if you're a history buff and a Rancho local make sure you take time to stop and look around. Have a glass of wine and stay a while.

We have been to wineries in Napa, Temecula, and even Texas, but we somehow sadly never visited this winery until yesterday (although we've been living in the area for 10 years). It is now one of our new favorites. Customer service is great, the winery is not stuffy andpretentious, the wines are good, and there is indoor and outdoor seating. What more can I say!! We can't wait to try their Taco Tuesdays. So glad to have this little gem in our backyard!

Okay this is a winery that I wanted to come to because some friends of ours brought us 13 bottles and two that I really loved was Old Vine Zinfandel 2014 and the Mourvèdre. Lots of history here and choices of wines are great. Come and check it out

Is there Happy hour on the weekends?

At this time, our happy hour is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm-5pm, and Fridays from 2pm-7pm!

I believe Felipe is planning to. Joseph

Barbera It’s free to join. You will receive a shipment of wine ( you pick up at the winery) once every 3 months. You pay $55. You will receive at least 3, usually 4,…

Is this winery dog-friendly? Can wine be tasted outside?

Owner Joseph is big time dog lover/rescuer assist. I hv taken my dog on patio during slow times. No problemo. Inside the winery, no. Two outdoor areas with tables n shade.

    Are kids allowed inside?

Yes, but they ask that you keep them on the large area rug/sitting area away from the bar. Good luck with that! And good luck with their service.

We only have food once or twice a week. Please check our Facebook page for more info or call us. Usually every Tuesday evening we do. Any other days You may also bring something of your own. A pizza or maybe an antipasto plate. A beef dip sounds…

Taco Tuesday? What time does it start?

Around 5ish. The tasting bar is closed while Taco Tuesday is going on, but you can still buy glasses of wine or bottles to drink there with your food while it's going on.

Although they don't allow outside food, they do have an outstanding taco tuesday. Daily, they have small snacks for sale such as fresh bread, crackers and some meats and cheeses. Look for special luncheon days and events as well.

The venue itself has a small nook area to the side so it was used as a back drop for photos and cheki (polaroid taking), a check in area to meet the idols and pick up our DIY bouquets for the event), some cushioned chairs and tables to the side, and lots of circular tables and seating inside for the group to sit down and work on our bouquets. There's random wine themed decor throughout the venue and 2 TVs where one was just the random wallpaper generated and the second one being the offkai theme image. There was chill music being played through the venue but unsure if this was through the tech of the venue or the speakers that the even organizer brought with them.
