Hidden gem in City of Montclair! I've seen this place on yelp for a long time but haven't had the chance to try it till recently. They have pretty good selection of beers on tap and when it says the ingredient you can taste the flavors in the beer. First brewery to open up and its been around for a long time. They have lot of games inside you can play and we sat at the table that has the chess on it so we played that while we were enjoying our beer. Definitely a spot that we will return. Good selections to pick from and they also sell snacks you can purchase while you are sipping on your beer. read more

Pretty chill vibe! Heff yeahi- 3/5: easy to drink but nothing to rave about. Chelle's Lager: 4/5. Pretty hoppy for a lager but easy to drink and quite refreshing ! Nikkal; dragonfruit IPA 5/5: sweet for an IPA but hoppy and crisp ! Salty dragon; 3/5: salted porter salt forward for sure somewhat of a caramel flavor. Expected a more caramel flavor for a darker beer. CAL 53: honey blonde 4/5: honey forward and crisp. Wish it was a tad more carbonated, and refreshing, but super easy to drink Kundey: 5/5 - green tea forward and ever so slightly, hoppy. read more

I really wanna give this place a good review, but I feel like their beers are unique but does not really make the cut. The idea of using tea fusions in the beer is very intriguing , but when it sacrifices the carbonation of the beer it just falls flat. The service is very attentive and the beer tenders are very sweet ladies with helpful suggestions. I do hope that their brewmaster/brewer can make a few changes or quality test some of the drink drinks before serving more often. read more

Love, love, love this brewery! My husband and I are big brewery fans, and this brewery is our favorite! We come here all the time to enjoy the 80's and 90's music and to play Scrabble or other games in a relaxed atmosphere. The owners are welcoming and always have interesting information about the latest brews. I love that DTB is a women-owned business, and that the owners are so knowledgeable about the different varieties of beer and the history of beer making. We support local breweries throughout the area, but love this brewery the best. My husband found this brewery back when it first opened, and turned me on to it. He likes so many of the unique and tasty beers at DTB, and I am a huge fan of their black cherry hard punch! We always buy some cans to take home. I cannot recommend this brewery enough! Great beers, great music, great atmosphere - a wonderful place to relax and have fun! read more

Friends and I came by really wanting to enjoy beers and games, based on the reviews and to support smaller breweries in the community, but unfortunately didn't even get a chance to order. We were at the table looking over the paper beer list in a plastic sleeve when the woman from the counter came stomping over, yelling "ONE OF YOU TOOK MY MENU! I NEED 3 WITH ME AT THE COUNTER AT ALL TIMES" before rudely snatching it out of my friend's hands. It was our group of 6, and another table of 4 other patrons. It didn't seem as though it would get any busier for her to absolutely need the 3 lists with her. A few from my group decided to purchase cans to-go, while the woman stared them down watching their every move. We left just so surprised our visit lasted no more than 10 min feeling uncomfortable and truthfully, unwanted. read more

First time coming in here for a beer. Pretty empty on Saturday night. Taproom was much too bright for my liking. It didn't have the feel of a brewery. However, the service was excellent, the bartender was very nice. I got a flight of six beers that I shared with my wife: my half of the flight was fantastic. I don't come out to the IE often but I enjoyed my visit here. I hope they improve the decor inside a bit more. read more

Let me start with customer service could be better. The woman at the counter, I think the owner too, could have been more friendlier and welcoming. I had the stoned IPA. It was ok. The brewery is small and very clean. They have snacks for sale and you can take your food or order delivery. On Wednesdays, there is a guy selling vinyl. He was very nice and friendly. Would I go back? Maybe, if I am in the area. I would like to try the other IPAs. read more

4.5 stars I got a flight of 6 beers for $14 The beer is amazing and the descriptions are on point! I wanted suggestions for which beers to get but the beer-tender doesn't drink beer (hence the 4.5 stars instead of 5). That led to rolling a 16 sided dice to choose my flight, which was awesome! The place is very office building like; boring theming/cheap-DND theme. But I don't come to a brewery for theme! The beers taste amazing and that is what matters most! Plenty of board games to play. Decent amount of seating. I had the DrachenPagne, Medley-Ale II: Brut Gruit, Kundry, Drūk, M-CK, and the Tiki Punch. All were exceptional! The DrachenPagne was a perfect Dunkelweizen. The Medley had a great fruit note to it. The Kundry was the most unique of them all; very green tea forward which was very delicious and light! The Drūk was a very smooth IPA. The M-CK was happy and full of great hibiscus flavor. The Tiki Punch is very much just that; full tropical flavors and ver smooth! My favorite was the Kundry; it was nothing like I tasted before and it was just a solid, delicious beer! Anyway, highly recommend this spot! I came on a Saturday at about 8 pm. I was greeted very warmly. The atmosphere was nice. It wasn't huge, but not small either. My friend and I ordered two flights of beer which come in six 2oz tasters per flight for $11. We tried most of the beers, and my favorite by far was the Errant Ale with the lime juice. It gave it a really nice kick. Asides from the great beer and friendly people, there was a huge game station with board games and card games to keep you occupied and entertained. Definitely recommend this brewery so drop on by! read more

This was a very cool little brewery spot my girlfriend and I found while looking for a place to grab a drink on New Year's Day. They require masks if you're unvaccinated while being optional if you are vaccinated. The medieval dragon theme they have is a nice unique touch that I haven't experienced in a brewery before so that was pretty cool. Their beers are all brewed in house and are delicious. My girlfriend got the Chelle's Lager which she said had a nice melon aftertaste. I got the Tropical Bailey which was a nice dark beer with guava. They also have a shelf area that has a ton of games you can play ranging from cards and poker chips to the Law & Order detective game (I thought I was the only one who had it lol) to books of crosswords and other puzzles. We will definitely be stopping by this brewery again. Especially when April comes around since they brew a special beer around that time for their anniversary called Errant Ale. I recently learned about this cool brewery in my neighborhood when I attended a wedding rehearsal dinner here for a good friend's brother. While I did not try any of their brews during my first visit, they earned five stars for being so welcoming and accommodating to this event. The vibe is very chill and they allow you to bring in your own food while you enjoy their on-tap brews. They also offer cold sodas for any non-alcoholic drinkers. On this particular night they had a "human jukebox" guitar player who took requests from the audience. This was an awesome addition to the evening and I can't wait to return with my hubby and friends. It's a bit hidden from the main streets but there's plenty of parking surrounding the strip mall it's located in. read more

This is such a cool brewery! I wish this was around when I lived in Upland. I enjoyed it so much, my husband and I purchased a T-shirt to commemorate our visit. Was really excited to be in the area and do a bit of a crawl and as soon as I got out of the car I was met with a woman making comments about private parking and such. Really turned me off from the place. I was with a group of people ready to drink and spend money, I'm glad we chose to spend our money elsewhere. Definitely would make a point to never go there. Normally liked going to this place until I was harassed in the parking lot by one of the workers there. Was waiting for a friend and the lady there came up to my car and pretty much told me to leave because it was a "private" parking lot (no signs to indicate this). Could've been racially motivated, could've been due to neighbor brewery's event but overall if I was a potential patron of your business in your parking lot maybe don't come up to their car and push them out on an assumption. Very nice small brewery with great customer service. When there we noticed all the games (board) and TVs that one could use inside. They Lesley you bring food in from outside but tonight they had a young man serving jerk chicken (no affiliation with Dragon's Tale Brewery). The selection of beer was definitely good and the prices were not crazy expensive. Plenty of parking too. Oh and they are pet friendly. Definitely a nice get away from the hustle and bustle or just a relaxing place to get a beer before going home or out. read more

This was my first time here and I was beyond impressed with the quality and taste of the beers. I am an avid microbrew drinker and everything I tasted here was better than almost anything else I've tasted at other breweries I've been to country wide. Super smooth and amazing yet subtle flavors that go very well together. I will be back whenever I come back to the area. Don't let the location fool you, it is well worth the trip over! I had a flight of 6 brews and all were tasty! The woman who served us was knowledgeable and pleasant. If you're just about the beer than this place is fine. If you want more ambiance / character this is not for you. Nothing fancy, just a counter top that you walk up to and order. Our favorite brewery in the area! They always have unique, creative beers to try, not just the same menu every time you go like many other breweries. The owners are friendly and you can bring your dog (always a plus). Errant ale is a favorite when they have it, but we also love Kundry (a blonde ale brewed with green tea) and the evil knight ipa (black ipa brewed with mango and black tea). There is also a good variety of beer types (blonde, ipa, reds, heffs, stouts, seltzers) so there is always something for everyone. You won't regret visiting. read more
