I was told by previous physicians my only solution would be surgery multiple times, but Dr. Cohen did her research and we tried another combination of therapies, that have been working so well! She tried these new combinations of therapies with very close monitoring. She is so smart and experienced but ensures she explains everything in patient friendly terms, very comprehensively, practicing shared decision making as well. Our first appointment we went through my whole medication/disease history to ensure she had all the information- so patient and comprehensive!! She is always very patient with all my questions and concerns, quick with follow up, and extremely comprehensive. She focuses on GI of course, but she also ensures I am update to date on all vaccines and exams (even more so than my pcp :) ), and takes the time to discuss non- GI related medical concerns with me as well. She checks in on mental health and nutrition and provides recommendations and referrals for all specialities. She immediately put me at ease. She gave me several openings in which to ask questions and at the end of the visit, she told me to email her if I had any questions before my procedure. I did end up having a question and it was answered promptly. There was also a video as well as several documents offering information concerning the Covid test, the preparation for the procedure and the procedure itself. The followup to make an appointment for the Covid test and procedure went smoothly. The Covid test was administered in her office where I felt very safe--all protocols were followed, there was only one other person in the large waiting room and I only had to wait very briefly. The day of the procedure, the staff and the doctor made me feel comfortable and were all very professional. The center seems very well-run. I was treated with such care and respect. I had great trepidation about having this procedure but Dr. Cohen gave me great confidence every step of the way.

Initially, she refused to cancel it because 'it is so far in advance' so I explained that it was set up without my approval and I cannot make that appointment. On August 16th, CVS Care Mark requested that you renew my prescription. It wasn't until the week of September 3rd that I found out (because I had to call, myself) that you hadn't bothered to authorize the prescription--two and a half weeks late. By the time your office responded, I had almost no medicine left and didn't have enough time for CareMark to send me the prescription. I leave for an overseas trip in a few hours and it took my five phone calls to your office and 3 or 4 to CVS to finally get authorization. Now I'm having to pay out of pocket for the medicine. I am sorry to say that I will never use your services again nor recommend you to anyone else. It's a shame because everyone at the office was so friendly."

I've never had to wait in the waiting room. I had a short wait once I was in a room but not bad and Dr Shah really took her time with me. What impressed me was that she clearly had read my file and knew my case when she came in to see me - which is not always the case with doctors. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

I have been trying to get in touch with him since Nov 2020 (exactly 3 years) and so far I have only been able to get connected to the office twice. I give up. Plenty of other qualified doctors in the area. There's no way he is this bad at maintaining a competent office staff and phone line department in 2023. A pigeon would have successfully arrived in 3 years with my request but not his office staff. Sidenote, I referred him to my husband who got through to his office on the first attempt (miracle) and scheduled a tele-appointment in 2021. We waited for 30 mins for him to get on the line just to find out that the office never informed us that he had decided to cancel appointments and go on a vacation.
