I've been a patient for YEARS and only managed to see Dr. Lafsky in office ONCE due to repeated scheduling errors on their end. The final straw was after being denied a scheduled appt. With Dr. Lafsky by Nancy the office manager. All bc I missed an appointment while I was in the hospital with SEPSIS. Instead of telling the doctor I was there she sat me and my MOTHER down for 45min to lecture us about missing appointments. I even called from my potential deathbed to cancel and i saw Dr. Lafsky while in hospital!! Later that weekend, I retroactively received an invite from the receptionist Sam to an entirely different appointment the previous month that I did not make nor was I ever informed of. Clearly trying to clean up a screw up. So, after trying to schedule an over due Endo and colonoscopy for 3 years with this office, I finally gave up and found a new GI. I came in as a new patient, had my first appointment, and both procedures scheduled and performed in less than 2 weeks. If you are having issues with this office, it's them not you, just run. I was in a vulnerable position and was embarrassed, and her comment also shared with the surrounding staff my personal medical complaints, which raises a HIPAA concern. The packet was very detailed and provided excellent day by day instructions for my colonoscopy 2 weeks later with a Dr. Hani Sabahi. I had minimal wait time for my 9AM appointment and the whole process took about an hour and a half which included post procedure waiting. I did not have a lot of questions for the doctor as I did a lot of research on youtube and knew what to expect. Dr. Sabahi was very professional and followed up after the procedure to discuss my results and let me know that he'll see me in about 10 years. Thanks for making the whole process quick and easy.

But the office then called to confirm my original appointment. The RN with whom I had my original consultation was worthless too. She could care less about me, didn't have the medical experience necessary to understand my medical concerns, and didn't try to understand them. The only reason I tried so hard to get an appointment there was to see Dr. Gill, because he had treated my brother. But I never got to see him, not even in prep for my procedure. I canceled the procedure after all of that. Will she tell you the things you need to hear! Yes. Dr. Ma doesn't sugar coat your well being. She is a straight shooter and gives you the facts. No pandering! My family has a history of colon cancer. After visiting multiple doctors in my 30s, I was recommended to Dr. Ma from another MD. At that time, she was the only gastroenterologist that understood my situation, built a plan around my family history, and went above and beyond my care regiment. She takes her time to look at every aspect of your record, health history, and physical and mental well being. Dr. Ma may seem abrupt, but that is normal. She is all business, but if you take a moment, get to know her, she is very engaging. So much so that she will chat beyond your allotted appointment time. I have a great relationship with Dr. Ma. Even though we do not socialize, I would consider her a good family friend. She cares that much, you just have to open your eyes and mind to see it.

He is compassionate and sympathetic to other conditions that do not relate to his practice. He is one of the few doctors that will follow up with a phone call after lab tests, something that most doctors no longer do. The reception area is clean, the staff is pleasant and organized. The wait is minimal.

It took much longer than that and countless of phone messages, emails, and texts. One thing that really helpful was that I reached out to my health insurance provider for help. It was stressful! I did get my deposit but it was $30 less with no explanation of what the extra charge was for even when I tried to get one. Dr. Blosser is an excellent GI but I will not return to this practice nor would I recommend anyone to go to this practice because of the way it conducts its business. Dealing with this practice's business office is was a real nightmare!
