I've paid an unknown amount in hidden fees and charges. They are amazing at reminding you that you have a bill that must be paid otherwise it will reach collections. Yet, when it comes to contacting someone regarding this false claim, suddenly no one has an answer and it has been a year that this has been differed and given to a supervisor for "review". The second I mentioned involving lawyers, my phone calls are no longer being answered. *** Also, Mariano with the billing department was probably the least helpful rep I've ever communicated with. Picking up the phone like he hates the job (no one is forcing you to work there). Then, once I've expressed why I called, he hung up on me. I shortly returned the call 4 times only to either have no answer or to have my call answered then hung up. *** Simply disgusting. 0/5 if I can.

I was very sick in a 2.5 year flare and Dr. Cohen cured me!!! I was told by previous physicians my only solution would be surgery multiple times, but Dr. Cohen did her research and we tried another combination of therapies, that have been working so well! She tried these new combinations of therapies with very close monitoring. She is so smart and experienced but ensures she explains everything in patient friendly terms, very comprehensively, practicing shared decision making as well. Our first appointment we went through my whole medication/disease history to ensure she had all the information- so patient and comprehensive!! She is always very patient with all my questions and concerns, quick with follow up, and extremely comprehensive. She focuses on GI of course, but she also ensures I am update to date on all vaccines and exams (even more so than my pcp :) ), and takes the time to discuss non- GI related medical concerns with me as well. She checks in on mental health and nutrition and provides recommendations and referrals for all specialities. She is truly the best, most comprehensive physician I have ever had and I feel so grateful to be under her care!! Highly highly recommend!!!

She immediately put me at ease. She gave me several openings in which to ask questions and at the end of the visit, she told me to email her if I had any questions before my procedure. I did end up having a question and it was answered promptly. There was also a video as well as several documents offering information concerning the Covid test, the preparation for the procedure and the procedure itself. The followup to make an appointment for the Covid test and procedure went smoothly. The Covid test was administered in her office where I felt very safe--all protocols were followed, there was only one other person in the large waiting room and I only had to wait very briefly. The day of the procedure, the staff and the doctor made me feel comfortable and were all very professional. The center seems very well-run. I was treated with such care and respect. I had great trepidation about having this procedure but Dr. Cohen gave me great confidence every step of the way.

HOWEVER, after my most recent experience with the office I will certainly NOT be going back. I was referred to him in the ER in 2020. I was in surgery for about 9 months (every 6 weeks). I have been trying to get in touch with him since Nov 2020 (exactly 3 years) and so far I have only been able to get connected to the office twice. I give up. Plenty of other qualified doctors in the area. There's no way he is this bad at maintaining a competent office staff and phone line department in 2023. A pigeon would have successfully arrived in 3 years with my request but not his office staff. Sidenote, I referred him to my husband who got through to his office on the first attempt (miracle) and scheduled a tele-appointment in 2021. We waited for 30 mins for him to get on the line just to find out that the office never informed us that he had decided to cancel appointments and go on a vacation. According to them, they had called us but we had never answered.

She waited for me to ask questions. She was AMAZING!!!They were an excellent team! The doctor, Tiffany, the procedure nurse. Josh, the post nurse, and my CAA eased my anxiety 100%. The communication was 10/10 with consistent emails and text messages to countdown my procedure and preparation work. It was all very helpful. This was a recommendation from a family member, and I am so pleased with the overall experience.

Was able to schedule one and had a great experience with the nurses/physician assistants and doctor (Dr.Francis) and was excited to schedule my endoscopy. However I needed to review my work schedule which is often changing to find a day which was suitable and would fit in Dr.Francis' operation schedule. I was assured I could call back and schedule the procedure. Little did I know that I would be at the mercy of the ONE procedure scheduler that the office uses, who is so busy dealing with the phone traffic that they cannot reliably answer the phone. When I asked if there was another way I could schedule the procedure, in person or by some kind of email or patient portal , I was left a very rude message saying that I was sending the scheduler to my voicemail when I was in the middle of various processes at work and had called more than 10 times during the week at different times to try to catch them to schedule the procedure. Not only this but the front desk also had the same track record for answering the phone, as in they never answer. Guess i was lucky to get my initial appointment over the phone in the first place. Will not be returning, heading to another Gastro that actually has adequately and functioning staff. I would not give this office your patronage, they are comfortable knowing they are a much lauded office so they don't take care of patients.

After an office visit, by appointment, they were to contact another doctor to get the OK for my spouse's colonoscopy. They stated they would contact the other doctor and it would only take about 5 days. A week later called back to other doctor and they said they never received anything from Gastro Health. Gastro Health did not follow up. I called back a several months later, finally getting someone to answer my call, and they miraculously received the form from my doctor THAT day while my spouse was on the phone with Gastro Health.. And they still have to submit form to get clearance. Expecting a call back from Gastro health, which never happened. Called back and left messages. The first time the office ever called me back from original appointment in October is in January. 3 MONTHS. It was a MESSAGE to schedule the colonoscopy. Tried to call but NO ANSWER, still don't have an appointment. I had a colonoscopy, 3 years ago and was to have another in 2 years. They told me they would call to set up an appointment. NO CALL. Can't get a hold of anyone. This is after I was told I had to get an appendectomy after my colonoscopy 3 years ago. Office staff needs to get straightened out and be held accountable.

Like others, I also saw him because he got such great reviews. In all seriousness I don't believe the positive reviews. "He knows what he's doing and he truly cares for his patients." LOL I saw Dr Frank at least a half-dozen times and never, not once, would I describe him as a person who "truly cares for his patients." He seems to have nothing but contempt for his patients! Honestly, he treated me so poorly as a person that it bordered on abusive and I stopped seeing him. He is a terrible doctor.

I had two colonoscopies performed by doctor Frank, the last one six or seven years ago. They were…read moreboth done at the MedStar outpatient offices on 21st street in Washington D.C. The first was done 16 or 17 years ago and everything went smoothly, though I did begin to come out of anesthesia prior to the endoscope being fully withdrawn, which created an uncomfortable feeling. For the second colonoscopy Dr Frank prescribed an off-label prep administration. I was to take the first and final prep dosages within several hours of each other, since I was scheduled for an early morning procedure, even though the prep label indicated the entire dosage should not be consumed in the same day. After the procedure I had atrial flutter and could not be discharged. Instead I was taken by ambulance to GWU hospital where I was treated in the ER for six hours. They were getting ready to admit me there when my heart spontaneously converted (after large doses of various electrolytes that had been depleted from my body by the prep). Because there was permanent damage to my heart I am sentenced to taking blood thinners for the rest of my life to prevent future strokes. Since the prep had been prescribed off-label I was told that mine was a "sentinel" event and the FDA had to be notified. I found out later that my hear rate prior to the colonoscopy was over 120 BPM, and that the procedure should not have been performed for that reason alone. Dr Frank's reckless desire to continue on schedule regardless of the contravening signs negatively changed my life forever. The uneducated public generally rates doctors based on how friendly or organized they are, or their schooling or how timely they are. What other criteria do we have to go on? They NEVER tell you about their failures or flubs because that could affect their business. For the most part, everything these doctors do is just fine, until it isn't. If I had sued this guy, as my wife wanted me to, I probably would have been silenced by an NDA as part of the settlement. But I didn't. So I'm telling you something Doctor Frank would never tell you himself nor would he want you to know.
