I took an appointment and waited my turn. The wait was well worth it. On my first appointment we went over my health history and my gastroenterology-related issues. Dr. Khan gave me an order to have an upper endoscopy performed which was completed on 12/09/2021. I am very happy with Dr. Khan and his bedside manner. I feel very fortunate to have become one of his patients.

When you finally get to the "operator," the only thing he can do is take a message. Then when the right person returns your call, you had better be waiting by the phone! Otherwise they leave you a message and you have to go through the whole ordeal all over again! As an example of how bad communication is within the office, I managed to reschedule my endoscopy and received email confirmation. Of the change. But the office then called to confirm my original appointment. The RN with whom I had my original consultation was worthless too. She could care less about me, didn't have the medical experience necessary to understand my medical concerns, and didn't try to understand them. The only reason I tried so hard to get an appointment there was to see Dr. Gill, because he had treated my brother. But I never got to see him, not even in prep for my procedure. I canceled the procedure after all of that. I decided that seeing a great doctor was not worth all of the aggravation, miscommunication, lack of communication, and the number inexperienced people required to get to him. Really too bad.

Will she tell you the things you need to hear! Yes. Dr. Ma doesn't sugar coat your well being. She is a straight shooter and gives you the facts. No pandering! My family has a history of colon cancer. After visiting multiple doctors in my 30s, I was recommended to Dr. Ma from another MD. At that time, she was the only gastroenterologist that understood my situation, built a plan around my family history, and went above and beyond my care regiment. She takes her time to look at every aspect of your record, health history, and physical and mental well being. Dr. Ma may seem abrupt, but that is normal. She is all business, but if you take a moment, get to know her, she is very engaging. So much so that she will chat beyond your allotted appointment time. I have a great relationship with Dr. Ma. Even though we do not socialize, I would consider her a good family friend. She cares that much, you just have to open your eyes and mind to see it.

He never rushes me, answers all my questions and makes sure he understands my concerns. He provides useful tips and resources so patients can be active participants in improving their health. He is compassionate and sympathetic to other conditions that do not relate to his practice. He is one of the few doctors that will follow up with a phone call after lab tests, something that most doctors no longer do. The reception area is clean, the staff is pleasant and organized. It took much longer than that and countless of phone messages, emails, and texts. One thing that really helpful was that I reached out to my health insurance provider for help. It was stressful! I did get my deposit but it was $30 less with no explanation of what the extra charge was for even when I tried to get one. Dr. Blosser is an excellent GI but I will not return to this practice nor would I recommend anyone to go to this practice because of the way it conducts its business. Dealing with this practice's business office is was a real nightmare!
