My updo was not only very secure and balanced, but I had NO pain, poking, itchiness, tightness, or soreness. That is a MIRACLE!! I have a very sensitive scalp and often get bumps and cuts. Getting my hair styled can be a painful ordeal. Lexi was extremely gentle and the updo was easy to take out on my own at the end of the night. Lexi saw my vision and made it happen. Last time I dyed it was over 10 years ago and it was a nightmare experience. I had a hair stylist that used to cut my hair and she was amazing and it was so nice and relaxing to come in and chat with her and she knew my hair so I was hoping to get a similar reaction from this experience but I did not get it. Giana technically did a good job. My hair was balanced nicely. I did ask for caramel/honey coloring and it came out much lighter. I know this can be for several reasons and color is something that is dependent on how your hair reacts. But I just wish it had been like discussed like hey it's looking a lot lighter but it looks really good etc. Mostly there was no talking like at all throughout the appointment. I tried to make conversation and it just fell flat. I ended up just reading my book instead assuming maybe she just wasn't chatty but then she seemed chatty with the other stylists. When I was done she seemed like extremely happy to be done with me. She never even was like wow it looks so nice look how it came out. And she knew how apprehensive I was about the appointment coming in and that I had a previously horrendous experience. Also when I saw her after my appointment like while I was paying she seemed like 10x more energetic and happy so it was weird she just like really didn't like me I guess. ‍ So, technically it was done fine. But it wasn't a friendly experience. It was very mechanical and when I think of a salon I think of a friendly comfortable place that makes me feel welcome and this just did not have it. The stylists are talented and consistently do a great job, which is why this situation was so disappointing. I had booked appointments for myself and my 3-year-old daughter--a dry style and a kids blowout--because we had a mother/daughter beach photo session scheduled. Unfortunately, due to a poor weather forecast, our photos were rescheduled to the following day. I called to see if it would be possible to move our appointments to Monday, but was told the salon is closed. I then asked if we could switch to other services, like pedicures or waxing, since getting our hair done before a day of swimming (on Monday) would be a complete waste of time and money, not to mention unnecessary heat styling. I was told only hair stylists were available and no alternatives could be offered. I also asked if I could receive a credit for a future appointment and still be charged that day, but this request was denied as well. I understand and respect the need for cancellation policies. However, these were two concurrent 30-minute appointments, and the complete lack of flexibility--even for a long-time, loyal client--was disappointing. I was told there were no exceptions and that I would be charged in full. As someone who has frequented this business for a decade, I would have hoped that loyalty might carry some weight. It feels short-sighted to risk losing a long-standing customer over two 30-minute services. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my perception, and I won't be returning to Cloud 10 in the future.

My daughter has also been coming here since she was 5 or 6 and they have always been sweet and accomodating with her. She loved going to the "lady salon" instead of the kids' shops and got much better cuts. It's probably more expensive to take her here but the service makes it worth it. It's also a lovely salon that always has a nice, fresh feel and smell.
