First because he graduated from UPenn, my alma mater, and he's a surgeon and an expert, but second, and most importantly, because he uses common sense in every diagnosis he reviews with you. Sounds so simple but so few MDs do it. No underhanded motivations. I did PRK on both eyes and then LASIK on one eye with him. I feel great. Thank you God for doctors like Dr. T. So hard to find. After my aunt visited her primary doctor and received clearance, their office decided to contact her one day before the surgery and inform her that they did not have the clearance. They are not very responsible or do things in a timely manner. The lady working at the front desk, Jenny, said she would give her a call back before 3pm to inform her if they had received the paperwork and give her confirmation for her surgery, but nobody in that office called her back. She decided to reschedule the surgery and the same thing happened all over again. She is no longer considering surgery with this doctor. It's already stressful enough to coordinate her schedule and the family's schedule to get this done. Her and I are very disappointed because we've seen the great results from surgeries this doctor can perform, however, the care coordination and communication is very poor and not worth the stress in our opinion. read more

It's been 9 months since I underwent the LASEK. Thus far, one of the best decisions I've taken in my life. Using corrective lenses for since I was 4 years old and now 23. If you take one look at his Curriculum Vitae (resume), it tells you all that you need to know: he has only studied at Ivy League Institutions and obtained his MD from Harvard Medical School. Beyond his obvious intellect, his bedside manners are impeccable; he reassures you throughout every stage of the process by explaining what he is doing and what the outcome will be.
