I had the worst experience at Dr Wilson's Dental Office. He did 2 Crowns and I had the worst pain of my life, I call the office to let them know about the pain and the receptionist said they had no openings even though I had pain, and they schedule me a appointment a week later. Then, They sent me a text 4 days after I had the procedure and said come in at 1 pm. So I did, I waited 15 minutes then 25 minutes then after the hour I got up and asked if they were going to see me or not. And the receptionist said, we told you we had NO openings to see you till a week later when we schedule the appointment. Even though I had the worst pain. My holidays were ruined thanks to Dr Wilson's wrong diagnosis I ended up going to a different Dentist that did the root canal were one of the new crowns were placed. I was told by my sister and a friend that used to be patients there at Dr Wilson's office, not to go there because it's not ethic between Doctors and staff to be talking bad things about their patients. Because of the bad service I received they lost my whole family as patients. read more

After numerous visit I have decided to follow Dr. Wilson's advice to have implant. It will be my first time to undergo this procedure. At first I was a bit skeptical due to its longevity yet Dr. Wilson assured me that I will be set for life since it for my two front teeth. One of the WORST experiences ever. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! This dental office allows their staff to flirt with the clients while the women staff laugh about it. The care quality is DISGUSTING - they took our information over the phone to verify benefits- told my family and I we could come in & accepted our insurance. Upon arrival they quoted none of the information was saved. There was a "mistake" then they proceeded to do x rays before verifying insurance to then after tell us we had to pay or do payment plans of $36 a month for a total of $576! NO PROFESSIONALISM! Was given a misdiagnosed treatment plan for a crown on tooth 30 when it was supposed to be tooth 31--completely inaccurate and careless. When I pointed out the error, instead of taking responsibility or correcting it, this provider doubled down and failed to offer the basic duty of care any patient deserves. Worse, when I insisted on a proper explanation and the service I was entitled to, they called the police on me--a clear attempt to intimidate rather than address the issue professionally. To add insult to injury, they refused to provide my full medical records and left me in pain while under their so-called care. Find a provider who puts patients first. I have been a customer of Dr. Wilson for a few years. I have no complaint regarding my visits with him. Unfortunately, he hires these unqualified office managers that blow you away due to their incompetencies, lacking the necessary qualifications, and skills to perform a basic task "called Customer Service" effectively. I have brought her lack of response, dereliction of her duty to their staff and the hygienist in separate occasions but sadly, nothing has been improved. It seems, Dr. Wilson is out of touch with his office manager and clients complaints. I had a broken tooth that was causing me severe pain, so I came to this office and was able to get treatment and pain relief the same day! The office staff was professional and friendly, and the Dentist Dr. Joe Wilson made the whole procedure relatively enjoyable considering the work involved. Dr. Wilson was our family dentist when I was younger, and now as an adult I am suffering from his shoddy work. I just had to get a crown because he put in a temporary filling with a sealant over it. The temporary filling rotted out, and luckily my new dentist caught it in time so I didn't have to get a root canal. To verify that he was the one who did the temporary filling, I asked his office to send me my dental records, and they ignored my request. Very unprofessional. All my other dentists sent them, so of course through the process of elimination I figured out it was him. He also destroyed two of my sister's molars because he cracked them during a wisdom tooth extraction. She had to get a root canal and crown for both mistakes, and in the middle of one of her root canals, he messed it up so badly that he had to stop the procedure and send her to a surgeon. Horrifying! I can't believe this guy still has his license! read more

I recently had a CT which is a Three dimensional view of my jaw bone for a potential dental implant on Two of my front teeth. The equipment Dr. Wilson uses is up to date if not advanced state of the art. I was really impressed with the images through a scan and Dr. Wilsons extremely knowledgeable overview with me as he was explaining what the images were as I was seeing them on a huge flat screen monitor. I feel very informed of what I should expect during a dental implant procedure Before and after the process. I like the dental hygienist he don't waste unnecessary time scrubbing/ scratching your teeth. I love the staff especially Nikki. She is very knowledgeable about the billing process and insurance workflow. She also cares for people dental health. I was in tooth pain when I called to schedule an appointment and Dr Wilson was not available that week as he was on vacation. I have been dealing with a root canal problem for months, i went to 3 different doctors and no one wanted to take the time to try and help me. As soon as i sat in Dr Wilsons chair the staff made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. Upon meeting me Dr Wilson asked what was going on and took a look and said that he could definitely help. I left excited to see him again, seriously how many people do you know get excited to go to the dentist. Their professionalism is amazing, they're able to diagnose your problem, measure and create a crown right there in the office. No having to come back days later while you're in pain dealing with a packed tooth or anything like that. Let me just start by saying that I had several traumatic events at the dentist, when I was a child. Thus, I was leery about going to any dentist. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Joseph Wilson in Mission Viejo. From the first time I stepped in there the entire staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. I immediately let Dr. Wilson know that I was afraid and he calmed my fears. I have had several root canals, crowns, fillings and cleanings. I have never been afraid. Dr Wilson has a great sense of humor which helps to ease your concerns. Pam, is the resident dental hygienist. She gets to know her patients. She is connected and engaged with her patients. The best dental experience I have had in the 47 years. I have gotten dental treatments in 3 different countries but never like this. It was done in a couple of hours and perfection was the result. I have gotten the same treatments before for 5 times when I had to get a crown or a bridge and it took between 2 weeks to two months but never in two hours or in this precision. Last week I had a deep clean which left my teeth very clean and Whiter than ever and feeling very confident to smile. However, knowing that I have a chip on my left front tooth kept me from smiling at work and in public. I felt the need to wear a mask "at all times', even at home to "mask" the chip. A few day's ago Dr. Wilson repaired my chip with the upmost precision and literally felt nothing during and after the procedure, except for a little numbness. Although my insurance covers most necessary dental procedures, some require a co-pay. Even with the co-pay, the amount needed is very reasonable. Additionally, during the prep for my chipped front tooth repair, I briefly mentioned to an assistant of Dr. Wilson's, Ester, about a small chip on my bottom tooth and asked her if Dr. Wilson can address that as well. When the initial front tooth procedure was done, Ester remembered my inquiry and asked Dr. Wilson if he's able to address the bottom tooth. Without any hesitation, he did. (at no additional charge). I feel extremely lucky and blessed to have Dr. Wilson and his entire staff fulfilling my dentistry needs. read more

Do not bring your children here. I recently took my daughter to have her tooth looked at because a cavity issue! Mind you, I have taken her regularly for her check ups. They looked at it and said that we should take her to pediatrician dentist for a better treatment. We then took her South OC Pediatric Dentistry, where we should've taken her to in the first place! They looked at her tooth that had the cavity and asked how many she had! We told the dentist just that only one. The dentist told us that he can clearly see more by just looking at her teeth.... We then needed to get our daughters x-ray from the old place so our new dentist could review them. Unfortunately, the x-ray they took were the wrong kind of x-ray........ the x-ray they took was for tooth movement, not to show the cavities..... After having to take a new x-ray, the right x-rays. It shows that my poor daughter has several other cavities they didn't catch! Though it's not their fault she has cavities, she had literally just been seen by them two weeks before and they failed to mention anything! This is even after taking an X-ray of the tooth we brought her in for AND applying a fluoride treatment! This tells me that the other place they either aren't knowledgeable of children's teeth or where just in a hurry to get my money. If they aren't knowledgeable on how to care for children's teeth then they should be upfront. They should say that they don't deal with children her age, and refer us to someone who can. Not just try to take our money. Please, do you and your child a favor. Go to a pediatric dentist or you might go through the same fate!!!!!! read more

If your a new patient he asks what you would like to work on and doesnt push unnecessary work. If I could give 0 stars, I would! Horrible dentist! I have seen him on more than one occasion and have allowed him to work on more than one tooth. I even allowed him to do Orthodontics and one filling on my teen...boy, am I sorry! Every bit of expensive work that has been done, has fallen apart! I have even lost a tooth and a VERY expensive crown just broke off due to his negligence! The office staff is definitely less than stellar as well.... AWFUL, HORRIBLE...SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS!
