I came here with friends for breakfast, I got the daily special and they each got a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I got coffee to drink. The staff were very polite and brought everything to the table. This place is fairly small but clean and had some fun decorative things on the walls. The food was very good but mostly unseasoned so plan to add salt/pepper as needed. The homefries were oh so good with a little added salt to bring out the flavors. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area and looking for a tasty meal. The crescent sandwiches were huge. As a side note we ordered for pickup two days after the above and I got a sausage crescent and it was super tasty. read more

Had a breakfast sandwich to go. Was good, fresh egg, so-so sausage, good biscuit, no cheese. Was charged $5.88, said they were not using pennies so they rounded up to $5.90. While waiting I did a little math. Checked the menu price and it was $4.99. When asked why I was charged so much she replied tax. I know tax isn't nearly 20%, she looked online and said it was $5.49. When I pointed out the menu price she asked another employee who started telling about the price of eggs. I mentioned that crisis was a year ago she then then switched said they were getting new menus printed. A little warning that the menu prices were y correct would have been nice. I used cash to help them out with credit card charges, that was a mistake in hindsight. read more

I just had a new menu item @Joseph's Deli with red rice and beans, half a rack of ribs, and a small salad with lettuce tomato and onions. I also had the chicken soup.I had to shut my door so I could be alone with this food! The flavor of the ribs is amazing and the soup tastes exactly like REAL, homemade chicken broth! The Germelli was a little too soft but that's subjective since I prefer a firmer noodle. Flavor all around stellar and a perfect balance. This is the food I have been waiting for. read more

Everyone has a bad day and we went to lunch on a bad day for them and us! My friend and I ordered 2 of the Reuben specials. The waitress was very nice taking our order. When she brought the sandwiches my friend asked what seasoning was on the fries and were told it's their fries seasoning. Very heavy on black pepper (at least today) my friend doesn't use black pepper and said as much to waitress. Rather than saying let me get you some fries without seasoning she just walked away. The sandwiches tasted fine but were very very thin on the corned beef and sauerkraut. For $10.00+ you expect more than one thin slice of corned beef at least. When we were checked on my friend did tell the waitress about the small portion of meat and kraut. If you aren't happy with what is served don't be afraid to say something and ask for something else. read more

Originally went to another sub shop near by and it was supposed to open at 11 am. When we got there it was 1130 and still not opened and people waiting around for it to open. We gave it 10 min and still nothing so we decided to look for another. So glad we found Joseph's Deli. As we enter we got a greeting and an I introduction of what the daily specials are. Now that's service. The sandwich was delicious. The meat inside the gyro was moist and tender. The julienne fries were crisp and good. Stopped in again. 07-19-21. Had my son and my dad with me. Our positive experience here, on our last visit, was a major factor in stopping here again for lunch, after shopping. My dad got a Reubens and salad, I got a gyro w/fries and my son got a cheeseburger with fries. Consensus was. Food was just as good this 2nd visit. A wonderful place. Staff very friendly and attentive. Had lunch there. Lunch was chili along with chowder, both very good. Well stocked and tasty. My wife had the chef's salad which she stated was very fresh, she truly enjoyed it. I went with the cheesesteak, steak was tender, plenty of cheese, roll was toasted on grill which added to its goodness. As we were eating owner came to our table to check on us, nice gesture. Joseph's Deli is a hidden spot for some incredible vegan plates (which is hard to find in Port Charlotte!) Falafel pitas are my favorite for any time of the day, and the falafel platter (with hummus, pita and salad) is a surprisingly good breakfast meal. They cook using a soy based oil. - $2.19 Lunch or dinner - Falafel or veggie pita - 4.49 Falafel platter is 5.99 comes w/hummus, greek salad, pita. This place is a gem in Port Charlotte. Their falafel is fabulous and so is their breakfast. Better yet, a friend and I went in and jokingly asked for falafel in an omelet and they obliged. Cannot recommend this place any higher. We played in Port Charlotte in a college baseball tournament and tried them out early in our stay, then decided to use them for all of our lunch orders. Among the best hoagies we've had on the road. Their bread is especially delicious and they manage to prepare a large number of chicken parm sandwiches without them getting soggy. Each sandwich was prepared with care, and it's our experience that with large orders this doesn't happen often. Any team who is reading this should use Joseph's without question - additionally, Jamal from the deli was a pleasure to deal with, correspondence with him was outstanding.
