She immediately looked to my wife and greeted her; she didn't look at me, which is disrespectful - you don't do that as a server (somebody re-train this girl) - and when she did look at me, it was very direct and with an angry face. Not sure what I did to affect this young lady's manners, but I gathered she was some young, over-the-top feminist (the latest iteration of this 'movement' or whatever it's called is a big reason why this world is so messed up). I understand you disagree with me; look deeper, but that's ok. That said, after I told her that if she takes care of us, we'll take care of her, she did well, and at the end, I tipped her handsomely. However, I can't imagine her giving negative vibes and an angry face to every man who walks in with his girlfriend or wife, but if she does, the hospitality industry isn't for her. The chicken in the fajitas were dry as hell. My wife's grilled chicken salad was ok. As mentioned, and to be fair, this young lady's service - we have a daughter her age - was overall quite good except for the initial disrespect. There was enough room on the table for shared apps, which is always a positive experience because I don't like when there's no space for anything and feel super crammed. And to their credit, three people, including the owner/manager, were bussing tables as fast as possible. But consequently, it was hard to "flag" the waitress, and I only did so as she forgot me on two occasions. But I am a patient person...just hungry. COMMENTS: * A basket of chips and salsa (VERY GOOD) is $3. Profit margins are slim. They are worth paying for. * The AC was "barely" there. When it was in the upper 80s outside at 6 pm and cooler than it was inside, a HVAC mechanic was desperately needed. According to their Facebook page, this has been going on for a couple of weeks. It is either the landlord of a largely vacant strip mall (with a couple of anchors opening, which may help), causing the problem, or it is a triple-net lease, in which the restaurant is responsible for paying for the repairs. It's an expensive task. * Again, patient, but I wish that the waitress had checked more than twice - once to serve and once to refill a pop. Then, as the tables were still in some demand, "Let me cash you out..." It felt a bit like the "bum's rush." However, the food is good if you enjoy Tex-Mex cuisine. I will return - it may be at a different time of the day.
