Was staying at the nearby Sheraton 4 Points and wanted a dinner with flavour. I usually walk to The Keg, but it is a predictable meal. So Acapulco Delight it was. Full to capacity, I found a couple leaving and slid into their table. Started with free salsa, pico de gallo and chips. High quality. A Margarita as well, made from scratch ! Mains were ground beef tostadas and a steak and guacamole burrito. I was very hungry. Then another Margarita to finish the night there. Outstanding. Service was excellent (they were swamped). $40 all in..... this would be $75 in Toronto. I left a big tip and said I will be back next time I'm in town. A true 5 Star rating. Only minor complaint would be that the lighting is too bright. But they close at 9pm, so maybe they don't want to encourage the drinking part of dining. read more

My wife and I are visiting Windsor and came to "Acapulco" by way of accident. The restaurant we intended to eat at was closed / out of business, so we were aimlessly, hungry wandering and landed here instead. The owner and staff are very cool. We were greeted right when we walked in, and we got menus, chips (with salsa and pico), and water soon after. For entrees we had 1) heuvos con chorizo, with hot flour tortillas on the side; and 2) Mexican shrimp. Both were decent. For drinks we went with safe choices: a mango margarita on the rocks and mojito. It's a funny thing - this place isn't really special or notable. But the staff were responsive and everything we ordered was quick and as expected. The final check was not eye-popping, but very reasonable. So in that sense it is kind of special. Staff did a great job and food/drinks were pleasant enough. This place saved our evening. read more

4.5 stars for sure. Absolutely love this place, and make sure I come here every time I come back to Windsor to visit. It's hard to choose what to order because everything looks and tastes so good. It truly is the best tex-mex food ever. My go to orders are the beef chimichangas, the nachos with beef or supreme fries with beef. The service can be slow sometimes, but that's only because they're always so busy, which is also because they're so good! It's 100% worth it 100% of the time. They're practicing great Covid measures, with outside dining , spaced out tables inside, and if you're ordering takeout, you pick it up right at the restaurant entrance where they have clear plastic set up. Great food great drinks. A spot I always make a point to frequent whenever I visit Windsor.

Came here for the first time since covid. We usually frequent this place a lot but haven't recently. We stopped in tonight and there was hand sanitizer, plenty of cleaning supplies and tables were distanced. Free chips and salsa are still served and the food was good as always. Takeout is also an option. Menu is condensed a little bit but still has quite a variety. Would definitely return for either takeout or another sit down meal. read more

Great food and drinks. Enjoyed our time there. Wonderful drink recipes. Good service. I believe that it is family run.

The food was ample. Pricing reasonable. The spices used were not authentic Mexican. Salsa without cilantro and a tomato sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce with chili powder added. Service was fast. My quesadilla had a teaspoon of melted cheese- hardly a quesadilla but more like a taco. The atmosphere was 1990s low budget restaurant in great need of update. read more

I used to love this place. Probably at the times of drastic drunkenness around 3am when all you could find on the streets of Windsor is Shawarma! Then two nights ago, after consecutive nights of Mexican food cravings, I finally decided to order take-out! I threw half of my food away because it was simply gross. The food is good but just not a wow is what my wife says. I completely agree. We got a burrito meal and the tortillas were very small and underwhelming. Seems that the meat was ground too finely and not enough seasoning was used to give it that true Mexican flavor. I'll go back because it's right down the street from me but I wish that there was a chipotle or Qdoba grill. Another thing that irritates me is that you only get chips and salsa once on dine in, and not at all for takeout. It strikes me as a bit cheap. Total of about $15 for two burritos, which is fair pricing. Just improve your quality please. read more

One of my favourite places to grab Mexican food in Windsor. It's a little place on Pelissier (original location was Pitt just off Caron) that can be easy to miss, especially since it's closed during the day, but definitely worth the trip. Their guacamole is my favourite, hands down! I also enjoy their combos and flautas. Kevin is always awesome and you can't beat the prices. Plus they're open super late so if you've got a craving for Mexican food at an odd hour of the night, chances are you can satisfy it here! read more

This place was great, it truly deserves more reviews. We are Mexican, coming from both the US and Mexico itself and this place had some great food that we are still craving as we head home. TEQUIiiiiLLLLAAAAA!!!!!!! I love coming here whether after getting drunk downtown on a Saturday night or on a regular weekday. This Chinese owned mexican restaurant has the best customer service ever. Kevin is hilarious. When I come here with my friends we love the fries supreme or the tacos. If you really want to taste Mexican food then search for some other place because this restaurant is not for you.

Let me just say that typically I enjoy this restaurant and love their food. I find it authentic and delicious most of the time. In a recent experience I ordered the beef chimichangas (x2) and a fries supreme and bit down into the chimichanga to find about an inch of a toothpick still in the chimichanga. Now I fully understand that this is how they are deep fried in order to keep all the ingredients inside (and removed once they are ready) but when I called to inform the owner that I had just bit down on a toothpick that should NOT be in the food and it could have been a choking hazard or worse a child could've injured themselves from it...he simply said 'oh ok- sorry.' I was shocked there was no sort of compensation for this or even just an offer for another meal or the same meal without the extra toothpick. I'm sad to say I will not order from this place again- mostly becaue the lack of remorse and lack of professionalism on their behalf. I get that accidents happen but it was terribly handled. read more

The worst!!! Taco bell is better than this place. The food was awful, service was awful, the bartender couldn't make a drink my Margarita was horrible - it was so sour I couldn't even drink it. Should have known when it said Mexican/Asian Fusion that it was going to be disappointing! Don't waste your money. read more
