He was upbeat, welcoming and very pleasant. He reviewed the paperwork and eye exam his technician just performed and gave us the best news ever....eyes were in excellent condition and no glasses were necessary. We were ecstatic to hear this. It's amazing that only a year ago his eyes needed new glasses after getting glasses 6 months prior to that. Something seems a little fishy. As soon as that was done, Dr. Oppenheimer saw me. She checked my eyes and put in new plugs which usually last three months and then they disintegrate. The surgery co-ordinators, Tiffany and Ken were very friendly and efficient. The staff at the surgery center were very kind , making sure I was warm and comfortable. There was no pain during the surgery, later at home my discomfort was manageable with simple Tylenol. At Dr Lam's office you will encounter Carmine at the front desk( take her a Hello Kitty trinket) and Ariel will check your eyes before Dr Lam sees you. Both of these women are delightful and like their jobs. Dr Lam gave me 20/20 vision . He listens to you , he smiles when he speaks to you , he addresses every concern no matter how ridiculous they sound. I highly recommend Dr Lam and his entire staff. She tested my distance vision in each eye, glaucoma testing and possibly other tests. She then dilated my eyes for my exam with Dr Greer. Within about 5 minutes, Dr Greer came to get me, personally. She disgnosed me with an eye problem that I had never heard of before. She also said that i was a candidate for cataract surgery. I was very surprised, since i had never been told I was even close to needing surgery. I need to read the printed information Dr. Greer provided, learn some more, and speak to my other Doctors, especially my Neurologist. The Dr prescribed me a medication on 12/31/2025 and told me I would hear from the "specialty pharmacy". I waited a week and heard nothing. Then I called several times over the next 3 weeks to try to get some info on where the pharmacy is and when I would get my medication. The answering service keeps saying they will relay the info to the office and I get knowhere. Finally, it is 1/16/2026 and after 3 weeks of not receiving my medication I started calling every day. Until finally the answering service got me in touch with someone in the office named Candace who stated the fax to the pharmacy must have gotten "lost". They never submitted my prescription to the pharmacy!! It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't received my eye drops.

Previously, my vision was in such bad shape; I was afraid I was going blind. My visit was comprehensive painless and very reassuring. Today I changed the prescription in my sports sunglasses and they were ready for pick up in a week. The new lenses as always were expensive but perfect. I wish I qualified for Lasik, it would be significantly less expensive. But, I am relieved that my vision can be corrected with prisms& glasses. The office is five minutes away so I can easily run in to have my glasses adjusted or if I have an issue. However, this is the fourth pair I've gotten from Dr. Sonneberg and they've been perfect.

When my remaining lenses arrived, they charged my an additional $522.00! My retired optometrist had charged me $449.00 the previous year. iSee was a 55% mark-up!
