Took my 4 year old to see Dr.Adams after his pediatrician suggested he see an ophthalmologist due to suspected myopia. For something he specializing in pediatric care, he had zero manners for dealing with children, nothing childlike in the office and a very serious and deadpan personality. He scolded my child for touching the lens and really had no idea how to work with a child. He also rudely assumed I was much older than I am. Horrible experience. This office uses a 3rd party calling center. Every time you call you have to speak with the calling center and they relay your request to the office in which the office NEVER gets back to you. The Dr prescribed me a medication on 12/31/2025 and told me I would hear from the "specialty pharmacy". I waited a week and heard nothing. Then I called several times over the next 3 weeks to try to get some info on where the pharmacy is and when I would get my medication. The answering service keeps saying they will relay the info to the office and I get knowhere. Finally, it is 1/16/2026 and after 3 weeks of not receiving my medication I started calling every day. Until finally the answering service got me in touch with someone in the office named Candace who stated the fax to the pharmacy must have gotten "lost". They never submitted my prescription to the pharmacy!! It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't received my eye drops. read more

Dr. Kenneth Adams is an excellent ophthalmologist. He specializes in pediatrics and adult strabismus, and his office is located in Boynton Beach, FL. Dr. Adams is great with the children, keeping them focused during the exam, and also explains everything exceedingly well to the parents. At 6'4" in height, he's a "gentle giant" with the little ones, so rest assured your kids will love him. Dr. Adams is equally talented with adults experiencing double vision or strabismus. I have been holding off on this review in hope it would get better. Unfortunately my personal experience was less than stellar! I was referred here for cataract surgery with Dr. Javier Nahmias. He seemed annoyed that I had questions for him. After the exam, I was given a card to contact Cathy for scheduling the surgery. I called. And called, and called!! No answer from anyone. I eventually got Cathy on the phone. She seemed odd on the call. No big deal. We all have off days. Only it got worse. Now it's months since my initial eye exam. Cathy told me she scheduled my appointments. When I called to confirm things she left unanswered, the person on the phone said, I do not see your upcoming appointments scheduled!!!! I tried reaching out to the office so many times. No one has answered the phone each time I've called. It goes to voicemail. Before leaving this review I gave them multiple ( Months) of opportunities to make things right. Customer service? Rude, unprofessional. I can honestly say this is the most pathetic, frustrating experience Ive encountered with a Doctors office in my life. read more

Dr. Rockower was one of the RUDEST people I have met!!!! Usually have an okay experience here, not this time. She was super passive aggressive and was just outright mean. She would make slick comments and was simply unprofessional. Perhaps she thought it was funny, but none of it was appropriate. She said I sounded like a "caveman" and I was going to point out the hostile attitude, but she just made another passive aggressive comment. This is one the most unprofessional medical (or commercial) establishments I have ever visited. They are an insult to the medical field. Apparently, they are owned and managed by "venture capital", so their main goal is to charge consumers the largest possible billed amount, 1st. and then, to actually treat patients. Understandably, businesses are supposed to make money and everyone needs a paycheck, but the rude, cold, calice "cattle herding and probing" of this office staff is abysmal and decadent. I would love to see legislators prohibit and enact into law the prohibition of businesses monopolizing medical care of local Healthcare offices and facilities. We saw Dr. Cardone in 2021 for my infant son's eyes. My wife left the room crying because of the horrendous bedside manner and verbal abuse from Dr. Cardone. He attacked her parenting because we had not brought our son in "sooner". We went to another Dr. in Bascom Palmer. What a difference. We were validated that we WEREN'T TOO LATE and now our son is thriving and his eye alignment corrected. Fast forward 2 years later and we keep getting bills in the mail saying our insurance did not pay the bill and that its now our responsibility for that 10 minute (horrendous) appt. we had with Dr. Cardone. Not only is their Doctor treat his infant patient's Mom like dirt but on top of that their billing department is inept and defaults to charging the patient. Reading the reviews for the adults I got scared, but we actually brought our son here after the ER incident and they treated us and him real nice, the doctor was super personable and the same with all the personnel. This second visit was the same, I don't have any bad comments about the service nor the place, we will be bringing here for check ups and consultation for sure. read more

Save yourself the trouble and find another place to have your eyesight cared for. This place is a zoo and they treat patients like cattle. I went to have my eyes checked for glaucoma and cataracts today. After 1 hour and 20 mins, I finally got to see the Dr. Within 5 mins he gave his diagnosis and then requested that I have pictures taken of my eyes to get a baseline reading. Sent to common area to sit and wait for the technician. A technician calls me from the hallway, like I was part of a football team. Barely acknowledges me. Has me take a seat while he and another technician talk about a boat trip they're planning. Meanwhile the technician is shoving me around to position me in front of the photo equipment. No dialogue with me. Just shoves me around. I finally tell him that I'm capable of moving myself around if he just tells me where he wants me. At which point we both escalate into an argument. I don't come to a dr.s office to be treated like cattle and disrespected. The place is like a factory where little to no consideration is given to the patient experience. read more

Dr Mark Dorfman was impersonal, spent under 5 minutes with the patient, barely answered any questions and on top of all, since my daughter was still seeing blurry, and I had to take her to a second specialist, turns out her glasses are off by .50 !!! They have NO appointment strategy in place! First time I came in had a 2:00 appointment wasn't seen till 4:30pm! Second visit, I got in before 2:00, signed in, waited over 45 minutes, I saw my Dr call in 3-4 patients who walked in AFTER me but were called in before me! Couple of years ago, my first visit with a doctor was a pleasant experience, good diagnosis and treatment. Years later, unfortunately, due to insurance benefits needs to see the optometrist for corrective glasses. What a stressful and uncaring lady. She insists to "diagnose" something that the doctor discarded years ago, just to charge something to the insurance and not even care to explain the condition, since google can help me, plus recommending a plain treatment without care and get her commission. Plus, since my sight is "perfect" (more than 5 years with glasses). I'm just exaggerating to get prescription glasses, just I need to get a good rest, stretch my arm for reading (I invite her to read a good book in that position) or get OTC glasses when I have different graduation on each eye, plus she thinks my only activity is social media. I give her a second opportunity to trust her practice and both times she cannot do it better. And to terminate the session, she just close my file, throw it to me and open the door to leave. My son's regular ophthalmologist retired and we were referred to this clinic. We have been very happy with the care that he receives there. Dr. Cardone is great with him and takes the time to make sure we are doing well. The staff there are great and very helpful. Will continue to use this as my son requires regular visits. read more

I NEVER write a review BUT I am in hopes it will save someone money and time. I went to Dr. Sandburg because I had a huge lump on my eyelid that was sore and not pretty. Went to him in hopes of relief. When he walked in the room he was cold and didn't even say hello. After 2 minutes he diagnosed me with blepharitis and came me some ointment and amoclav and told me it should go away within 2 weeks. 2 weeks came and went and it was NOT gone and was bigger than before. Went back to him and told me it may take months to go away and not to come back. After 2 more weeks of putting on the ointment and doing hot compresses it still was the same so I went to another doctor. That doctor whom is amazing diagnosed me with a chalazion. I showed him the ointment I had been using and he started LAUGHING saying the ointment he prescribed was literally for a baby and the antibiotic was not strong enough. My new doctor prescribed me eye drops, a steroid ointment for adults and a better antibiotic - 2 days later it is going away. He also diagnosed me with pterygium which Dr. Sandburg obviously overlooked because he didn't even check my eyes for other issues even though i paid full price for an office visit. His office staff are also not very pleasant and friendly - save your money go somewhere else.. read more

She stated it was. A week later they call to change my appointment time, no problem. Three days ago I received a call confirming my appointment and was told to go to website to fill out forms. Today I spent almost an hour filling out forms. Just received a phone call at 4:00 stating they DO NOT take my insurance. I told her the above story and there was nothing she could do. I told her that this was very *unprofessional* I waited 2 weeks for an appointment, them contacting me 2 times and then less than 24 hours of appointment calling and say they do not accept my insurance. This is not a way a doctor's office should work. They should know what insurance they take right from the start. I would not trust them to check my eyes. Yet I am sure that if the situation was reverse and I had to cancel an appointment in less than 24 hours they would have no issue in billing me for canceling!! read more

This was my First time to this Hollywood Office the check in was speedy and everyone was fabulous and caring . Everything is well organized and very professional . Had Marta attend me and was completely lovely and informative and sweet! Also liked Dr. Caruana Jr. Took his time to attend my needs and explain all my questions and worries. After several months with a chalazion I decided to see an ophthalmologist. After calling around, this office was the only that would see me on short notice. The first time I came in I waited for 3 hours before being seen. I'm not joking. When Dr. Sandberg walked in he didn't even say hello. He took one look at me and said he wouldnt extract it. Gave me some ointment and drops which didn't do anything at all since the chalazion had been there for over 7 months. I was so frustrated I could cry at that point. Fast forward to 4 weeks later, the chalazion got even worse. Out of desperation I made another appointment and then Dr. Sandberg decided to extract it, only that he didn't extract the whole thing so I went through that pain only to still have a bump on my eyelid. No follow-up instructions either. Thankfully I found another doctor who was able to go in and finish the job. Would not recommend this office at all. read more

Continuing my search for an eye specialist to treat my cataract, I was referred to Dr. Albert Caruana. What a wonderful experience! I arrived earlier for my 8:45 appointment. Saw several people waiting; however, I was impressed that I was called in within 5 minutes of my arrival. This office is 'patient friendly', they treat everyone with respect and seem to value the patient's time. Went through all the testing and was out by 10 am. Unbelievable. Dr. Caruano was excellent. He evaluated my condition and we discussed possibilities. He was very thorough and explained the process. I left the office clearly understanding the next steps and the financial implications. Evelyn Salas provided me her telephone number and emphasized the need for me to call her if I had any questions. I left the office with my follow up appointments. WoW! Very impressed that the staff operated like a "team", were very professional and treated me like I mattered. read more
