We had a large hole in our front window due to neighborhood thugs. Wasn't sure how we were gonna get it fixed without making a mess inside our apartment. We had a Hope Depot associate come out and see what they could do. He gave us a quote to replace the whole window, which was about $2000 and said it would take about 4-6 weeks to get it done. Nope. Cant wait that long and cant afford that. Cut to us calling Joshua's Windows & Doors on Thanksgiving weekend and they scheduled someone to come out on Tuesday morning. Brian showed up on time, with an upbeat positive attitude, ready to work. He put our worries at ease from his professional demeanor, so we let him do his thing. Before we knew it, he had the whole broken window out, without cracking the window anymore than it already was. Took it out by his van, threw away the broken window, and replaced new window in its frame. Done without a mess in about 20 minutes. Brought it back and fit it back in 10 minutes. Great customer service. Joshua came out the next day for an estimate and on the same day I scheduled the work. It was a special order window so we had to wait a couple weeks. The work was scheduled and we got our beautiful window installed. They did run into a issue and had to spend a couple extra hours (discovered once the old window frame was removed) on the install, but they did not increase our estimate. The 2 man crew patiently and professionally installed the new window making sure it was centered, molding was sealed and everything looked clean. Completely botched the job on our home, replacing our windows with the same type of window we had already. We basically paid for a new window for nothing. He knew what we needed. There were red flags before the installation based on Josh's lack of communication, however the deposit was already taken. He also lied afterward about him discussing how he installed the incorrect windows. But we have to accept this loss as is. ****HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!!!****** I had a small leak coming from what I thought may be the trim of my living room window. Browsed around and saw this company had pretty good reviews so I decided to give them a call. To my surprise they were able to send someone to come check out my window whitin a few hours. The guy that showed up was a very nice older Mexican man. Showed him where the problem was and he inspected the window. He said the trim showed some cracking all the way around but could not tell me 100 % if the leak was coming from there or the roof. He said he could start by taking off the old caulking and re-caulking the exterior and interior of the window to see if that would solve the problem. My mistake was to not ask him what the charge would be for that before he did the work. (I take full blame for that part and lesson learned). He chipped away the old caulk and re-caulked around the entire window (5'x 3') with silicone. He did a nice job and it looked good. The whole process took about 45 minutes from inspecting the window to finish. I asked them man what the charge was and he said he would call his boss to find out. After a quick phone call he came back and said he was embarrassed to tell me the price. With a face full of embarrassment he worked up the courage and said, "they told me it will be $350" my jaw dropped immediately, I was shocked!! I told the man to give me a few minutes to call the office so I can discuss the price with them. I spoke to a lady (Monique, or Monica I think was her name) and asked her why the price was so high for literally silicone caulking of 1 window. She said she would speak to her boss and call me right back. She called back a few minutes later and said her boss told her the best they could do for me was $280. I get that prices with inflation have gone up but this is outrageous!! Price gauging at its best. This company is taking advantage of customers in their most critical times of need. Will definitely NEVER EVER use them or recommend them to anyone. THIEVES!!!!!! read more
