My folks ordered pizza from here a few times when Anthony's was not open or if we wanted something else. We've only ordered takeout - never dined in the restaurant. Pizzas were always ready by the time we got there for pick-up. Flavor and size of the slices were good. Wings had a decent flavor as well. I have been looking for a new spot to get chicken wings and I think I finally found it! I was hungry and in the Dr. Phillips/Metro West area and wanted some chicken wings and came across Josie's Pizza and Wings. I wanted to grab and go so called to place my order. The girl at the counter that took my order was awesome. So was so patient, kind, polite, and helpful. She had a pleasant attitude and wanted to make sure that I had a great first experience. She even helped me carry the food to my vehicle because I had so much food. Since it was my first time I had so many questions and she took her time to help me and answer all my questions and let me know the best options. Since it was lunch time, I was able to try a few of the lunch specials. I purchased 2 of the chicken wing specials, which was 6 chicken wings, fries and a drink for I believe $12.99 which I thought was reasonable and gave me the option to try the wings and fries. So I had both the honey mustard flavor and the honey garlic parmesan. The wings and fries were delicious. I think I have found my new wing spot! The honey mustard was my favorite. It was the prefect honey mustard; sweet and delicious. The fries were tasty. You could tell that they were not just fried but had a little seasoning/taste to them. I will definitely be back for the wings. I also tried the cheesy bread which was delicious as well. I will come back for more. So flavorful, I couldn't stop eating it. Lastly, I ordered the XL cheese pizza lunch special. I believe it was $13.99. It was such a large pizza. Honestly, I didn't get to eat it yet because I was so full from wings, fries, cheesy bread, and the drink that I just didn't have any more room. But it looked great and I can't wait to try it. I had a great first experience and will definitely be back. The food tasted great, good prices, and friendly service. I got a lot of food for a reasonable price. The only thing I would say is that decor was a bit dated which made the ambience a little drab. But I was told the restaurant had been around for about 33 years which is probably why the atmosphere was a little lacking. All in all I will be back for more great food to go. The Onion rings are beer battered and had a slight crunch with a plush bite. Service was speedy(it was mid tornado), and the servers were attentive to our every bite. our neighborhood had the annual Christmas party at this location. We were able to try multiple different pizzas, wings, and breadsticks. The pizza was the thickness I prefer but it was not crispy boarding on underbaked. My favorite was the white pizza, you could taste multiple types of cheese. Anything that is wing related truly has my attention. it could be "Underwear and Wings", "Maps and Wings", you name it, if it says wings on it, I'm in. So, Josie's Pizza & Wings had me wondering about it. A group of friends mentioned this place as one of the favorite places for wings, so I figured why not try them. I was at an event in the tourist area, so after i was done I cruised that way to Metro West. I ordered the Rustic Mushroom pizza, which is a white pizza, and I ordered wings, one half with Buffalo/hot sauce, and one half with butter/garlic/Parmesan sauce. The wings came first, so I dug in. They were good, not overcooked, but the sauces were not perfect. The flavors were a little bit dulled, which seems to be an issue in many places that prefer the low salt diet. In other words, the wings were OK. Then the pizza came and that took away all the flavor out of my mouth. The pizza was good, but the contrast was just too much for me to enjoy it. The mushrooms were well cooked, it was cheesy, a good pizza, but on the sweet side. I packed up what was left and skedaddled to my next adventure. Josie's Pizza & Wing is a very chill place. The lights are dim, it feels like a bar rather than a pizza place. Lots of people pick up their food, not many sit down. They had big brand beers, which doesn't interest me. Service was amazing, the people were friendly and funny sometimes, I would probably enjoy this place more sitting at the bar than eating pizza. A moment of redemption must be written in. It is tough to find a good NY style slice of pizza in Central Florida but Josie's did a good job of getting really close! Lunch specials at this location are the way to go but be prepared for slower than expected service (staffing issues like everywhere I guess?) if you are in a rush. Right amount of cheese, sauce and toppings - what's not to like! The Margherita Pizza was as solid as the other pizza options I've tried in the past. Good dough, cooked nice and toasty, great sauce, great cheese blend, and fresh toppings. Not sure what else you could ask for from a pizza. Not pictured were wings, which I prefer tossed in the citrus BBQ sauce and well done. went to the new location in Clermont and ordered 6 wings, Childs pizza and a Greek salad, 1 coke for a cost including 20% tip of $52. The salad was small and scimpy on the feta cheese. The wings were ok on par with other places and the pizza as well. There was nothing to rave about and frankly it felt a bit overpriced. we had a nice meal and then.... There were a group of us who went for lunch. Some of us ordered wings, some salad, some pizza...all fine. The food was good and all was well until it was time to pay. The server came and took our credit cards, went to process our payments, and it took forever to bring them back. We finally got up and walked to the counter to see what was happening. While our payments were being done, we were told that "someone came by and picked up one of your cards by mistake and left with it". WHAT??? The server and manager were very nonchalant about it, and said they were looking at the camera footage to see what happened. They reported that it looked like a regular customer had picked up the wrong card, and when they realized it, they would probably bring it back. They did not take our name, they did not take a phone number, they did not try to help with retrieving the card, basically tough luck. The affected party immediately called their bank and put a hold on the card. so - they lost 5 customers for life. Caveat emptor. In the past I had heard nothing but great things about the food, which is why I suggested the restaurant for a team lunch, but I will never go back there. Some updates on their procedures regarding payments would obviously help, but I am not in the restaurant biz, so I am not one to give advice on those topics. Ok, when I'm bored I google things like Best Pizza Orlando, Best Wings Orlando, Best Tacos Orlando. You get the gist. As I plan my next food adventure, it's always good to know what others are thinking. Well, this place came up on the Best Pizza and Best Wing searches, so it was a no brainer to give it a try with the family after a day at Universal. It's next to a 7-11 if you're looking for it, but I'm sure you can find it, especially if you love delicious food. My suggestion is to make the trip out and try it. The wings were amazing. Not too big, not to small. Not too much or too little sauce. I felt like the goldilocks of wing eating where everything was just right. I got the Medium sauce and added fresh garlic (which you can do to any sauce). They were amazing, juicy, crispy, delicious wings. They're one of my favorites I've had since leaving Quaker Steak & Lube country. Now onto the Pizza! All of the ingredients (at least the ones we got) were top quality. The dough, sauce, toppings, and cheese worked together like a barber shop quartet, with each one pairing nicely with the others. The taste was pretty darn good. I can't fully, compare to true NYC Pizza as I only had that one time and it was a huge slice, but the 10" personal size was a nice accompaniment to my wings. Yes, I ate a 10 piece wings and a whole 10" pizza, but only because it was so darn delicious I couldn't stop. And the staff? I am so thankful I decided to stop in because this is quite possibly the best pizza I've had in a while. I ordered a medium pizza online with pepperoni, half bacon, and half banana peppers. It was ready within 20 minutes which was just enough time for me to get there. Upon arriving I was a bit suspicious because it was next to a 7/11 but boy was I wrong. I went inside, picked up my pizza, and returned to the car for a quick snack before heading back to work. I am drooling just thinking about this pizza. It was hot & fresh. Just the right amount of grease & real cheesy! What could get any better than that? The toppings (pepperoni, bacon, & banana peppers) were all fresh and tasty.
