My brother in law and sister in law moved near Universal Studios from Windemere and we needed to find some good pizza. (Note: in Windemere , check out Stromboli's). I saw this place while waiting for my wife to get out of Walmart. Anywhooo...we ordered two large pies. The biggest they offer is 16". Which was plenty for the four of us. We ordered sausage and pepperoni on one and sausage, pepperoni, onion, peppers and mushrooms on the other. The delivery, just a few miles was faster than quoted and the driver was very nice. The pizza is pretty good by NY'er standards and very good by Orlando standards. The crust is very thin, crispy enough, and plenty of toppings. Great pizza - super fresh. If you call on a Friday night make sure you call at least one hour before you want to eat. They are always super busy but definitely worth the wait. Sometimes we also get the Caesar Salad. When We call in they know our address and what we have ordered before so ordering is fast and easy. I was really quite thrilled to discover Castello's the other day. I have lamented for the past decade that Dr. Phillips needed a good hole in the wall pizzeria and, apparently, I was blind to one just around the corner. Castello's may be small -- a counter with half a dozen bar stools against a window for those who want to eat in the restaurant -- but it's staff has a very sincere way of greeting customers. As a result, the store does not seem small as much as it seems intimate, as if one were getting a slice in a friend's kitchen. I've ordered slices at Castello's twice now. Both were consistent. The sauce was flavorful but not too sweet. The saltiness of the cheese was a perfect match to sauce. A few droplets of oil lingered on my fingers when I was done eating but I as not bathed in an excess of fatty oils. The crust was tasty but could have been crispier to suit my taste. Of course, on my second visit I could have asked for my slice to be thrown into the oven a bit longer. Castello's is a great find and one that I will return to again and again. This is actually the only pizza place in Orlando I still trust to be consistent. A few years ago my husband and I loved this place. It seems it has really gone down hill :/ We got the Margarita pizza and wings tonight. The pizza was EXTREMELY thin, tomatoes were not fresh or of decent quality, and the crust was under cooked. The basil was also poor quality and extremely wilted. It seemed like pizza that had been sitting under a heating lamp all day. The wings were just okay. They used to be great, but now they seem very fatty, no crisp to the skin, and the skin is so thick and slimy. Grossed me out. What happened to you guys? :( read more

I just got this pizza delivered. My first reaction was Meh. The sauce and the cheese were slightly above Domino's quality, but how hard is that. The crust was as thin as I had hoped but unfortunately had no flavor. All I can say is I would order this over Domino's or pizza Hutt but there are better local pizza joints. I also wanna mention that the picture of the garlic cheese bread online was a traditional loaf of bread. What I got was a small pizza crust with garlic cheese melted on top. I have never had the wings before and probably won't order them from here again. All 6 were burnt and dry with little sauce to add any flavor. This was by far the most disgusting, revolting pizza I've ever had in my entire life. They used canned sour tasting mushrooms, cheese that won't melt, and a heavily over floured crust.
