This was my first time stopping into Jossi's Bake Shop and it was awesome. The staff was so kind, helpful and patient. The man behind the counter explained what they offered and what exactly was inside every treat I asked about. The place is tucked away into a plaza, and it is absolutely stunning inside. There is a nice area to sit inside with a few tables if you choose to dine in, as well as a larger outdoor patio space to sit at which I really liked and will be perfect in the summer time. Jossi's had a lot more then just bakery as they offered traditional Latin food options such as empanadas as well as some other warm pastries. They also do custom cakes and personalized orders which is really awesome and they seem like a great team of people to work alongside if you are interested! I tried the carrot cake cupcake which was light and delicate, as well as tried the packaged alfajores which were not my favorite but was happy to try them. They also offered specialty coffees and drinks as well as selling their own ground coffee for purchase in a horchata flavor. I do wish they had their prices posted on the large menu just to reference as I found myself having to ask the price of a couple things. Overall, this bake shop is a charming place and reasonably priced and I am glad to have it tucked away into Broadview Heights. I love supporting small businesses and this is definitely one I will find myself back at trying new things (especially the warm pastries next time). read more

Very Cute and smells heavenly! Jossi's was on my radar because I was in the area (not really, like 6 miles away), and I just could not get their empanada crust out of my mind. I called ahead to see if they had any left for the day, and I was in luck, 4 chicken and 4 beef. I took one of each, the gentleman on the phone even offered to sit them to side for me. Bonus points!!! We took the drive. I had my lil travel toddler buddy with me, and he saw the demo cakes on display, which prompted him to start asking for cupcakes. He decided on the white and yellow flower vanilla one, and I decided to add on a chai latte with almond milk. Yes, they have cappuccinos and lattes there now (shout out to Dahlia's). We didn't even drive off, we dove in as soon as we got to the car. I hear lil man humming and smacking in the back seat while I inhaled one of my tender, flaky treats. We recently discovered Jossi's Bakery next to Cozumel Mexican Restaurant in Broadview Hts. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic about their baked goods. We love the banana, guava and mango rolls that were still warm and delightful when we picked them up. Be sure to pre-order to ensure they are in stock. There is a cute outdoor patio and tables and chairs indoors too. They also sell empanadas, potato pies, Greek and chicken turnovers, cakes, cupcakes and cookies, and everything is freshly made. The sweetest woman with a kind staff. I went for an event. The event was great but I really wanted some more of what I experienced. I was blown away by the flavor profiles on the cupcakes. And while all of her cupcakes were delicious, the dolce de Leche was the best. The lemon cupcake was also a banger. The little cookies were delectable. I'll definitely return! read more

I got some cupcakes. For the price I think they are skimpy on the fillings of cupcakes. In the lemon there was about a forth of a teaspoon of it. Plus the cupcakes were dry, fillings would have helped. Except they are not open on Mondays, I may try them again, but chances are I won't be back. read more

I'm giving two stars because Jossi took the time to call me to try to right a wrong by Carlos who works there. I ordered a tres leches cake for a very special birthday. I called this morning to confirm it would be ready, and Carlos informed me he hadn't placed the order because I didn't let him know if I was going to pick it up or have Door Dash pick it up. This has nothing to do with it. How I pick it up is irrelevant. He also told me they require a deposit. The time to tell me this would've been when I placed the order. I would have happily paid for the entire thing up front. Now, I don't have the cake I ordered that was for someone very special. Jossi did call me and offered an alternative, or to make the cake I ordered but with a pick-up time hours after when I need it. I didn't want it rushed, and it didn't fit into my schedule, so I declined. read more

I was somewhat disappointed in the appearance of the cake. I haven't tried it yet, so I can't comment on the amount of filling, the taste, etc.; I had visions of a bright blue cake with lime green piping, which we discussed when I ordered the cake. There was no blue on it whatsoever. I asked her to add some blue piping to the top because the top was unfinished, not to mention the frosting on the side of the cake had a line down it like it didn't meet for some reason. Once she added the piping, it was a bit much. Also, the handwriting on the cake could be better., it looks like they ran out of room when they wrote birthday, but the enormous amount of piping covered the 'y'. The handwriting seemed to cheapen the cake a bit, Which really bothered me because the price point was pretty high. read more

My family and I adore this bakery - our favorites are their alfajores, guava rolls, and beef empanadas. We are from out of town and have ordered their cookies from Amazon, the process was quick and easy and the cookies arrived in great shape, freshness was preserved with their packaging. Had empanadas and potatoe pastry. The empanadas had no seasoning at all very bland and they weren't browned. The potatoe roll also lacked seasonings and flavor. The daisy cookie was pretty but again just a dry cookie. For this to be run by Latina was very disappointing most when in the garbage. read more

Thoughtless cake placement. The cake was put in a box that was too small. I should have said something at first but figured she knew what she was doing. One side of the cake was ruined because it placed up against the side of the box. It also fell apart because it was assembled poorly and couldn't support the height. Waste of $55. read more
