Melissa Nelson was patient and compassionate as I called for information regarding a death half way across the country. She provided details on what Meadows could provide and also offered alternative solutions for us which wouldn't even result in revenue for her. To me, this is a sign of a true professional looking out for the best interests of the client. She also made any expenses that might be incurred very clear as she understands that many times families aren't prepared for the expense. The hospice team provided us with a list of providers, and the path of least resistance was to take the first name on the list, instead of price checking as recommended by the hospice team. Fortunately, I did check prices, and Elegy was approximately half of the cost of the first-on-the list provider and cheaper than two others. But more importantly, Dave was extremely helpful and compassionate, and he instantly put us at ease during a difficult time. He answered any and all questions promptly by email or text or phone. He was quick to arrange transportation of our deceased veteran family member. And he arranged for a mutually convenient meeting to provide us with the cremains, the death certificates, and the folded American flag in honor of our veteran.
