Buyer beware! This company (no longer owned by the Glueckert Family) will harass you just a month after losing a loved one. The service received by Glueckert Arlington Heights was horrible- delays in cremation, missing information on dealth certificates when it was given and endless excuses. I posted a review a few days after the horrible experience in September and then the calls started from the manager-calling me multiple times trying to get me to change my review. Now 6 weeks later I receive a call from a Dylan at the corporate office of Dignity Memorial asking if there is anything they can do. What the call was really about was to see if I wanted to arrange another funeral in advance for another loved one-seriously isn't it a little early to start sales calls. Shame on them!! When I asked to stop calling me today, he send an email-I responded to take me off the email list- and then received a text!! So horrible! read more

We had to lay to rest my Mother, March , 2025. Khrystyna did an amazing job and was so helpful and empathetic. She made this horrible process a lot easier for me and my family. I would highly reccomend her. As for the presider, Glen Morden, if you are anything but Christian, DO NOT let him speak at your loved ones service. Myself and my family were mortified at his eulogy and he did not incorporate anything we talked about and spoke about his wife giving birth as if this were relevant to anything about our Mother. So disappointed but the Home itself and Khrystyna were wonderful. read more

Because of covid 19 there were stipulations on having a wake at our local funeral home. We left and contacted Glueckerts funeral home. Person who answered the phone, she was so kind. The same person was holding the door open when we arrived, gave us a tour, and answered many questions. Next we sat down with the funeral director. Such kind words, helpful arranging everything. Covid protocol was sufficient but not limiting, and suggestions were perfect. Quality of services were outstanding, prices reflected the professionalism. Everything needed for a beautiful wake such as printing, flowers ( outstanding ), and support were supplied in house. Did not stop at the funeral home. Even on short notice, they have been able to organize services and prepare space for visitations and funerals to the family's wishes. They are very helpful in guiding through every step of the process and ensuring that everything goes as planned all the way through to the burial and with the grieving process for the weeks to follow. My family had a recent loss and somewhat randomly made an appointment at Glueckert Funeral Home. We ended up choosing them mainly because they offer a water-based cremation method (most funeral homes don't), but the entire experience was a good one. Samantha Sittig was kind, patient, knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable (basic funeral fee was $1800 less than a nearby corporate-owned home), and it's always good to patronize a family-owned business when you can. The folks at Glueckert made some very difficult days more bearable. read more

I have been to many a memorial service at this location and it is a very nice funeral home. The home is beautiful, and they have multiple rooms for services. The parking lot is large and they seem to be able to accommodate a lot of cars. My friend's father's service was held here and they had an entire table set up of personal memorabilia - it was nice to see the folks at Glueckert were helpful in setting up the kind of service my friend wanted for his father. read more

We have used Gluekert for our Dad and more recently our Mom. They are absolutely the classiest, most accommodating service one could ever ask for. My sister lives on the east coast and I live on the west. So coming into town to make sure our mom is given the best "care" and "respect " after her passing was a bit of concern. At the most horrible time of my life, I was fortunate to find Glueckert Funeral Home who demonstrated the perfect combination of understanding, caring, multiple ways to pay tribute, a web page that is easy to use for those needing to attend, see photos, or pay tribute. Because of COVID, they were limited to 10 guests (plus whoever was required for the service). They easily hooked up a ZOOM so that others could attend and even pay tribute from afar. The staff was kind and low key. They coordinated extremely well with a funeral home in NYC that shipped my son from there, and the cemetery in Evanston, IL. I can't say enough. The building and rooms are well kept. The selection of caskets is excellent. And John Glueckert showed us the kind of patience I imagine is required when dealing with such sadness and grief. This business is family owned and a class act. I recently had to bury my mom who was my best friend. Her death was sudden and we were all in shock. The day we arrived at the funeral home the crew at Gluekert were more than pleasant and well prepared to handle whatever was needed. During the awful hours of the wake and funeral the employees were hanging up peoples coats, holding the door for people. Passing out tissues, cleaning up the food area. Unfortunately my family has used this home twice. Once when we buried our daughter 13 years ago and just recently when our 89 year old mother died. It was a difficult decision to return to a place from where our daughter was waked. However, the Gluckert staff is incrediibly respectful of ones wishes, incredibly professional and knowledgable inall apects of the painful process and absolutely respectful and helpful throughout. Nothing and no one can make grief disappear or lessen, but the Gluckert family and staff provide an environment, care and compassion as well as thoughtful guidance when it is needed. They are always there always available and never intrusive. This is a professional, family organization whose mission statement is carried out completely with each client.
