Take a stroll inside this pavilion that's filled with educational activities. Located in EPCOT on the World Celebration area, this sensory lab narrated by Dr. Nigel and Figment, the character host, accompanies everyone on a cart ride inside, teaching lessons about the 5 senses. The kids are a bit older so the exhibits at this attraction wasn't as challenging but lots of fun nonetheless, everyone enjoyed. The music pad was took us a minute to get in sync but we got it eventually.

Listen, I absolutely love Figment, however, this ride is screaming for an update/revamp. I don't know how they took the original ride and made it worse instead of better. I'll have to do with the partnership they had with Kodak back in the day. It's still charming though! You can just tell it's I hate to say this but... Cheaply made. You can tell where it was unfinished, and they just kind of piece together something that was good enough to get by. But in the last couple years, the character of figment has really had a chokehold on a lot of Disney fans, including myself. So I'm hoping with this newfound popularity/renaissance of the character, they will take the initiative to give the character a ride it deserves. You know, instead of revamping Test Track for the 3rd time they could put that money towards a ride that sorely needs it. It's on my "must do" list, but it's not for everyone

The ambiance is quite cool with an interestingly retro-futuristic vibe kind of like back to the future. When you're in the queue you see a sensory lab and some displays of a reception. It's almost like a science fair. Once you get in you're in a ride that feels quite dated. Basically you go through different parts where your senses are tested including vision for color, smell, and so on. There is also a funny dragon named figment following along. Overall it's decent but the ride feels really old and not modern.

Epcot has limited amount of family friendly rides and Journey into Imagination with Figment is one of the best rides at Epcot! Journey into Imagination with Figment is located in the Imagination pavilion, right next to Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. This attraction originally opened in 1983, with an update in 2002 for figment. It's a slow, dark ride with animatronics. If it's the summer, this ride is great because it's fully AC and after the ride, there is a wonderful interactive play area as well! The ride takes you on a imagination journey, using your senses such as sound, sight, and smell. It typically has a small wait time too, especially in the morning and evenings. Once you're off the ride and through the interactive play area, there is a figment inspired gift shop offering a wide range of apparel, toys, plushies and much more!

What's not to love about Figment?? He sparks the imagination & children as well as adults love him. Our adult nieces are his biggest fans, and the young nieces love him, too. But when we visit without them, we still want to go. It's a journey into our senses (smell, sight, touch, sound) and to the world beyond. Eric Idle is a brilliant professor, following in the footsteps of Robin Williams and Rick Moranis.

This ride is so CAMP and definitely a cult classic I would say. One of my friends in my group that I came to Disney with is the biggest Figment fan - he even Disney-bounded as Figment on this day! So I went into this ride VERY HYPED by said friend and the ride was so stinking cute! It's definitely a bit old and "wobbly," but it's endearing in all its slight rundown-ness for Disney standards hahaha. You can definitely see the age with this ride, but it's fun, especially for kids, because there is tons to interact with, especially after the ride! It's all about encouraging and fostering imagination and we love to see it! Bonus points to this ride/space because this is where the Flubber representation is!!!!!

We were looking to pass some time at Epcot and decided to go on Journey into Imagination with Figment. Figment is the name of the dragon character in the Imagination section of the park. It was a slow ride and was not very stimulating. It was more of a kids ride and it was not our cup of tea.

Journey into imagination is a neat little attraction and ride located inside of Disney's Epcot park featuring figment the imagination dragon. The ride is mainly animatronics and boasts help from popular Disney scientist from movies such as flubber, nutty professor and honey I shrunk the kids. The ride itself is for all sizes and ages and really provokes you to use your imagination and has some really cool animatronics and visuals. Overall a cut little ride that why not big on thrills is always one my kiddos enjoy seeing. They love figment and wish he was in more cartoons or movies.

This is perhaps the most obscure attraction we attended at Disney. It seems that they went out of their way to NOT use one of the countless number of famous Disney characters in their library in lieu of an "original" character named figment. This is a slow ride with animatronics featuring Eric Idle portraying a scientist. Ride wise, it was ok, but very forgettable.

Giant game pieces, oversized footprints, building blocks used as architecture, and Christmas lights strung overhead as decoration all reinforced the scale in a way that rewarded me for actually looking around rather than just moving from ride to ride. Slinky Dog Dash is the anchor attraction and delivered as a family coaster that works for a wide range of ages. It is smooth, fast enough to feel exciting, and the Toy Story theming throughout the track layout is well integrated. Wait times regularly stretch past an hour, so prioritizing it early in the day or using Lightning Lane is the practical move. Toy Story Mania is an interactive 4D shooting game that holds up across multiple rides and was genuinely competitive and fun for my group. Alien Swirling Saucers is the gentler option that skews younger, but it is an easy yes for anyone who does not mind spinning. Woody's Lunch Box is worth building a meal or snack stop around. The totchos and grilled cheese are the items that keep coming up for good reason, and the Lunch Box Tarts are worth grabbing for dessert if I want something to eat while I keep moving through the land. The one consistent practical note is that the area has very little shade and gets genuinely hot during the middle of the day. Coming in during the early morning or staying into the evening is the right call. At night the land takes on a different quality with the lighting, and it is worth lingering in if my park day extends into the evening hours.
