If you are assigned SAM JAZAYERI, request a different counselor. I've been with her for a year and…read moreshe has damaged the confidence I had in therapy. She constantly uses the excuse that she is incapable of handling all of the patients assigned to her, complaining about her overwhelming schedule every chance she gets. I've learned more about her than I have about my recovery. She abuses her power in a very passive aggressive way. I've heard her threaten to take away medication. I've caught and debunked a literal long list of lies in the past year that I've experienced as her patient and she has done more damage to my recovery than good. She lies about things she doesn't have to lie about. Today, she said no counselors were available and when asked why (in front of 3 witnesses), she said they were directing a group that was not listed on the group calendar. This is a bold faced lie; I've been here for a year an have never heard of any exclusive groups. I've spoken to patients that have had similar experiences of incompetence, excuses, lies, and abuse of power. There are consequences for patients who wear a rastafari shirt and trigger others, but the front staff can come in with a hangover and the lights turned off without it ever being addressed. I've even witnessed a nurse forcing a woman out of the bathroom while she was in the middle of peeing for a drug screen because there was a line. There's usually a line and good wait depending on what time you come in. You'll see the doctor ONCE A YEAR and your counselor handles your dosage and medical inquiries. I had to go through 3 staff members to get the opportunity to speak with the doctor (who is currently not even active at the clinic, there is an on call doctor). The group phone calls are the worst groups I've ever sat in on and if my insurance listened in on those calls there's no way they'd cover this service. Example; today my anger management group answered Suboxone and Methadone questions and the rest of the time was taking attendance. This clinic has the resources to really make a difference and make this a safe place that patients can trust, but the inconsistencies turn this into a very hostile place because it leaves so many people angry and hopeless.

This place has made my recovery more challenging than anything. The staff, policies, and the…read moreenvironment of the clinic is anti-therapuetic. The front desk comes in with hangovers and turns off the lights. The counselors' schedules are so cramped they are too overwhelmed to do anything for the patients and often forget things you've asked them to do or will deliberately not respond to you. They've asked patient to commit insurance fraud. They are inconsistent with policies and abuse their power over your medication (use it against you). They allow patients that are clearly intoxicated and slumpt over to dose. The doctor refuses to see patients, but ONCE A YEAR for the annual evaluation. The counselors who are not medically trained handle medical issues/questions and the front desk receptionist who is not trained to counsel handles groups. Unfortunately, this is the only place you can go in Muncie to start recovery when you're ready. Be aware you will have to fight for your sobriety yourself, they do not do or have much for support or resources. You are just a number.

DO NOT SEND SOMEONE YOU CARE ABOUT HERE!! This place is just a money scam. They forced my…read moregirlfriend to sit down and write them a positive Google review. Literally sat her down and said now you are going to write a good review on Google for us and you will give us full stars. They lied to get her there. She went to get off suboxone and they never let her stop taking it the entire month. Now a month later she comes home tomorrow and she is on the same dosage she went there with. She told them she didn't want to take it anymore and thet forced her to continue taking it and not once reduce the dosage over the entire month. This is because they are getting paid to keep people on meds. Her roommates were getting high and drunk the whole month she was there. They told her on the phone she was going to detox and then rehab and there was no detox or rehab, just an intensive outpatient program. The clients could leave the house any time they wanted and go to town and get drunk and high. They told her on the phone that there would be multiple family sessions and not once over the entire month did they do a single family session. Her therapist was never available to talk to her. The whole month she was there, there was no furniture in the house and two days ago they were taking new pictures to post online and made her install a bunch of furniture they bought after leaving her in an empty house for a month. If you or someone you love is looking at this place, KEEP LOOKING. This was a waste of a month, they did not help my girlfriend in any way at all, they just got a bunch of insurance money and that was it.

To start. I have never been to any location other than the south location. I also am not…read moreaffiliated with this place at all. So im not being paid to say they are grear! But they are great at this location. Keep in mind that not every business is the same and newer places might experience the hiccups they all go thru when first opening. The key is to call and speak to someone and not just jumping to being totally shitty with staff that work there. To me the good outweighs the bad 110%. Secondly, the thing that makes this place way different is how advanced in their approach to recovery they are. They actually realize that providing support to their patients speeds up their recovery and also keeps their patients clean for longer periods of time. There are so many components to each addiction and the provider at this location is amazing. Her name is Andi. She is always willing to listen to her patients and takes her patients opinions into consideration. That is something that is extremely rare in the system of doctors we have today! When i started going I felt immediately at ease. I wasnt all stressed about everything that treatment can bring with it because someone was listening to me as a patient. The best thing is patients are treated like adults in charge of their own recovery and the pace is set by the patient. Relapse can be part of the recovery process and this place understands this. So when someone relapses they dont just get booted out. Part of the process also involves mental health. This is a place that gets it all done under one building. Its great to have one provider for my meds and my therapy. One lesson i learned the hard way was how serious attendance is. I think their policy says that after the 3rd missed appointment... that will get you removed from thr program for 120 days. So they are very serious about keeping their patients close and in the program. Always talk to someone about struggles you have. They are more than willing to be of service to you. Just reach out! Good luck!
