I was greeted and taken to the manicurist immediately to get full set of acrylics. As soon as I sat down the lady began to start on my acrylics and telling me to choose a color. Once I found a color I liked on the wheel, I was never told it was the gel colors she only let me choose from for $28. I was only interested in the regular to pay $18, she wasn't pleased when I denied the offer for gel. She was attentive and I could tell was focused on detail which was nice, but kept pulling my hand around roughly. She kept trying to get me to add more on to pay more money which was kind of annoying to be honest. I noticed she pulled a box of tools labeled "soiled" and began using them on me. I'm not sure if she just put her cleaned tools back in the soiled box, or if they were really soiled tools - either way, I wasn't too happy about that ): Overall, the acrylics themselves looked good and the UV light didn't dry my nails all the way. Ok so I went in there with my girlfriend and her baby. We both wanted mani pedi's but she had the baby so my idea was while she got her nails done I would get my toes done and vise versa. So, I got my nails done first and Jennifer told me to stop talking and that she couldn't paint my nails if I was talking because I was moving. Number one, I've been getting my nails done for a long time and not even while I was little did someone ask me to STOP TALKING and number two, i wasn't even getting a design, and number three I was there with a girlfriend to talk and catch up whole we were getting our nails done. And then when I was getting my toes done the baby started to get fussy so I had to pick her up and again she told me to stop moving. LADY, I have a fussy child in my hands what do you want me to do? The upmost WORST part was that she addressed me as "hey" "hello" and "you" not even okay, I introduce my self and remember my manicurist name. WILL NOT be returning. read more

I went to this salon a couple years ago where I had gel nails done (with nail tips), I took a break from having fake nails, then decided it was time again. I went last night and the lady seemed hesitant to do gel nails. (I'm allergic to acrylic, hence the gel,) She did them after some confusion. The next day, I noticed the gel had not adhered to the nail tip so I returned to the shop whereupon I was told that gel doesn't stick to nail tips. I explalined that I'd had them done for quite some time at the same shop and never had any problem. She repeated that the gel doesn't work well. So i told her I paid for a product to work and that if she didn't have a product that did, I wanted my money back so I could go somewhere where they did. She promptly hacked off my nails, telling me that if I was goign to go somewhere else, that she was taking the nails off. I was shocked and MAD. Long story short, I left there with stumpy nails cut down to the nubbin. She told me she didn't want to get in trouble by her boss and gave me my money back, minus the tip. I've never had a worse nail shop experience i was unbelievably upset with the service. Everyone was rude, as soon as I walked in I was told to go to a station 3, wasn't helped for 15 minutes & then told to move to another station & then sat at the new station for another 20 minutes before they remembered I hadn't been helped yet. Fast forward a little, my nails were shaped & filed crooked so I asked if they could be fixed. She fixed the two & then I noticed there were more crooked ones but I didn't want to make a big deal. For as long as they took I was expecting me to be ecstatic with them... Wrong. I got gel polish & she put on 2 coats of gel which I have never had done before, it was so much gel to where it was getting stuck between my fingers & the nail & it had to be clipped off which they tried doing nonchalant as if I didn't see for myself. Finally I asked for a design but by this time I just wanted to get out of there. I spent another 20 minutes there to try to find someone that could do something similar to the picture I showed.. I didn't even want to argue when the design came out nothing like the picture. I arrived at 5:20 didn't leave till 7:12. I usually always go to Joy Nails and I've never had problems. Until a couple days ago I went to get my natural nails done - no gel, no acrylics. Just my natural nails with a girl friend. While the guy was cutting my cuticles, I felt a sharp pain and jerked away. Before I had time to look at it, he grabbed my hand and poured something from a little blue bottle and it BURNED! Every time he'd touch that finger, it hurt! I didn't see any blood so I figured I was just being a pansy. Then when he applied the base coat, it stung again!! But because the base coat was already on, I couldn't tell if anything was wrong. It wasn't until I got the extra top coat taken off later that day that I saw the cut in my skin that he had tried so desperately to hide (he even tried to tell me my skin was just dry and cracking and that's why it hurt - even though I use moisturizer often). It's been 3 days and now it's swollen and infected despite how much Neosporin I put on it! He knew what he was doing and he knew he'd cut me, but he didn't say anything! He even examined my finger after he did it and said nothing. Apparently their equipment is dirty or they don't clean them between uses. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow because my whole finger is swollen from the cut and it's leaking. I'd suggest not going here!! read more

To start off, I always get the exact same thing when I go to get my nails done: Gel French mani (just painted) and French pedi. My husband was coming home from deployment and Sunday was the only day I had off to get my nails done. I took my best friend with me to go to our normal nail place and it was closed on Sundays :( I was desperate to get my nails done obviously, so I looked up other nail salons. This one was open. My friend immediately said she didn't want to go here because she had a terrible experience with the ladies adding on things she did not want to charge her more. Well I had never been here so I said give it one more chance. We went and were greeted. We both wanted a pedi so they got the water going and we sat down. My nail lady came up and I told her what I wanted and she said they didn't do gel French mani?? I kept trying to explain and she kept saying no. I finally had to look up a picture of what I wanted and she finally said okay. That was pretty annoying. So the next big issue I had (well my friend had) is that the lady that was doing her toes was SPITTING on the ground repeatedly between us. It was so disgusting. Next issue we both had was they did not clip our finger nails at all. My friends nails grow very fast naturally and she is pregnant so her prenatals make them grow even faster. They only filed them (not even at all either). We aren't the kind of people to be rude or anything so we didnt say anything, but I feel like all of these things should be common sense. Know your stuff, don't spit on the ground, and clip the nails if they are way too long! It has only been 6 days since we got our nails done and the gel is already peeling off of my nails. They can usually last 3 weeks. Overall, this place doesn't even get 1 star. Wouldn't ever go here again. read more

For instance, last time I was there she did the popular chrome nails for me and this time the halographic design and I LOVE IT. I left because I don't have to know their language to know that they were extremely upset about giving me a quick eyebrow wax. Worst place ever! I'm so shocked as to how horrible these people are especially with customer service! Came in to get a fill in and as soon as I sat down told the lady I would like to get a thanksgiving design along with my fill in and gel top coat. They told me I could not have a gel top coat unless I paid for everything to be Gel bc too many people complain so it's now against their policy! Never have I gone to any nail place where they have said that. They have always done a regular filling with a gel top coat. Not to mention, I have gotten it done here at this location previously as well but it has been about a year since I've been back and I now remember why I stopped and that is because customer service is so terrible! But desperately needing my nails done and she had started my nails as she denies me the gel top coat tells me ok we will do the design you would like, but low and behold at the end she says she can't do it and some other lady will. Go to that lady and she not only rudely but barely speaking english tells me she won't be doing it anymore bc she is busy with other people that are walking in the door even though I've been there for an hr and am a paying customer! I'm new to the area and tried a bunch of nail places -- this spot seems to give the most reliable service and the prices aren't to bad. I primarily get a pedicure with gel polish. I've tried a few gals but Tracey is my favorite - she takes her time and does exactly what you want. The more you go to her the better she gets because she starts to know exactly what makes you happy. They also have a secret menu of polishes that change color with heat -- they are pretty cool when you get board with the norm. read more

I am very disappointed with my visit at first I was like wow my nails are really good they were really nice but as time was passing with my nails I noticed bumps around my nail on the skin and got scared I told my friend and she was like maybe it's irritation but I believe I got an infection instead my nails started having marks on the nails . I was really scared I would not want anyone to go through that I'm more aware now and sometimes there's no knowing what these nail salons use exactly or if they sterilize their equipment. Please make sure to ask anything you have questions about before getting your nails done because you have the right to .I'm currently making an appointment to check exactly what has happened bc my skin is not pretty I took the nails off right away because I didn't want anything else to get worse please please be aware this has not happened to me anywhere else I've gone to get my nails done. read more

My daughter and I went to get pedicures and she, a manicure...the absolute worst experience ever. My daughter's pedicure water was COLD. Her manicure was botched. The manicurist was very rude and she changed the color my daughter had chosen to match her toes. We had our feet scrubbed with a USED NAIL FILE and only for a couple of minutes. When asked if I wanted a manicure the woman that performed my pedicure immediately got an attitude and starting talking in her foreign language to the others in the shop and I got dirty looks afterward after I said, "no thank you." We were the last customers of the night and before my daughter's botched manicure was finished the owner started mopping the floors (very strong cleaner) and turning off the lights. I was visiting my daughter from out of town and wanted a nice relaxing experience, instead we had the absolute WORST experience EVER! State Board of cosmetology needs to investigate, I will make sure that happens, due to the reuse of nails tools and the inexperience of the staff, almost sure they are all operating under ONE State license! read more

I saw their sign-spinner, needed a mani-pedi. It had been a long tiring day at the middle school where I work, I needed a bit of me-time, and I'm really not a picky person, and I have NEVER written a yelp! review. Their spinner advertised $13 pedicure, signs in shop confirmed that price and and posted $10 for a manicure. I told "Lisa" that I wanted no nail polish on fingernails, but could she do "buff-shine instead?" She said yes. I let her talk me into $6.00 to wax upper lip --after the pedi and mani were completed. She was relentless- I had an event to attend the next day, so I went for it. But she wanted to rub baby oil into my upper lip area after the waxing, and I insisted she not use that, as I don't like petroleum -based cheap crap on my skin. She put something else and said it was "collagen," but there's no way of knowing for sure. For the pedi, I sat in the salon massage chair which sported a very rudimentary set of operating controls, which I generally look forward to enjoying. But no matter. She could barely grunt anything intelligible in English, and she was ROUGH with me. It was so painful and anything BUT relaxing!!! I had to stop her several times, wincing and squirming . She only responded and let up after I had to ask SEVERAL times. Totally non-smiling, bored, other women talking and giggling non-stop, I felt like I wasn't there. She had me walk over to manicure station after the lackluster pedicure with limp-wristed "massage"...she must have asked me several times more about getting something or other waxed, and yes, as another reviewer said, she suggested I consider getting designs on toenails. I declined. NO changing of filters was apparent. They seem to launder their towels there. Dirty surfaces all around on side tables of massage-pedicure area, manicure table, bathroom dirty with overflowing trash as well. She directed me to walk ACROSS THE FLOOR IN BARE FEET to her manicure station, where (I later found when home) she did an incomplete job of dealing with bits of cuticle, both on toes and fingers, incomplete filing of nails of fingers and toes, and her idea of a "buff-shine" was to use some gadget that was instrument of torture that rumbled and caused pain .She turned it to a slower speed. I have NEVER had a buff shine done like this. And the nails did NOT shine!!! She put oil on the nails which wore away by the time I was home.. NO SHINE! And toenail polish was gunky, she never put separators between toes at any time, and she didn't even offer me a pair of throw-away flip=flops with which to traverse THE BARE LINOLEUM FLOOR!!!! Then when it came time to pay the bill, she gave me a total of $32. I added it up, asked what the $3 more was for? She said "buff-shine." I said I won't pay for that, you did not tell me there would be an extra charge. I tipped $5, because I just always do, but I said I never go back to a place that is not honest and up front with me....this has happened at other salons, but this is the first time I said I wouldn't put up with it. They lowered the total to $29.50. Her boss was right there working the register and another client was within earshot. BEWARE of these smiling manicurists!!! They pull lots of surprises and are trained to pad up the bill. NEVER again. read more

I think I am being generous by giving this salon one star. I would never recommend this salon. I visited this salon with my teenage daughters while we were on vacation in So Cal. We all had our nails filled as well as pedicures. We had acrylic nails which they filled with gel. All of our fills were thick, lumpy and looked terrible! They felt gooey for hours, like they wouldn't dry. We were rushed from the nail station to the pedicure spas, I was hoping they weren't finished with my nails...but they were. The water used for my pedicure was luke warm and my pedicure was rushed. She was in such a hurry she cut my big toe nail so short it I actually yelled out. I was stuck with a sore, super short ugly big toe for weeks. I'm still not sure why I paid for these terrible services. I asked for my money back and the owner refused. I gave him over a month to respond to my request for a refund, no response. read more

Hmmm.... I'm absolutely torn about this place. With their staff being so friendly and accommodating, I want to give them 5 stars. Unfortunately, I can't. I've been here a few times, only because they are the only place I know of that will take me even when they are closing (or even when they are already way past their posted "closed" time). I came here a couple of weeks ago for a much needed mani/pedi. I knew this would take some time. Every time I come here, my session normally takes almost 3hrs!!! No joke! Let's see...I got there a little past 6pm (they "close" at 7pm) and they quickly take me in. They started with my pedi. They tell me to sit in one of their massage chairs and put my feet in the water while water is running, but whoa...it is COLD! So I finally get one of them to adjust the water temperature. Now, I sit there for about 10min...waiting...waiting. waiting...The lady finally comes over (I think her name is Vivian?!) who is absolutely the sweetest lady. She gets started on my pedicure and does a great job (I think this is her specialty...) Massage could be better though. Then comes my mani...this is where is all gets tricky. I have gel nails so she then tells me it's extra to take the old one off (the salon I normally go to doesn't charge me at all to take it off). I agreed to pay the extra $ and then have them put gel back on since they do last me longer. She proceeded to take them off, but then tells me that someone else will now have to take over to finish off my mani. So, okay, since she's telling me this ever so sweetly. The next girl then comes over to finish cleaning my nails (cut cuticles, etc.). Then, as she is getting ready to put on my gel color, I'm then told that another girl will be finishing it off for me. At this point (2hrs of being in the place), I just wanted it to be finished so I can go home and eat my dinner. I finally got out of there close to 9pm. My gel nails started to chip after a week, which I guess is okay since they typically only last about 2 weeks. I have, however, had my nails last longer than that from other places. Overall, this is not my number one choice but will definitely remain as my emergency last minute go to salon. read more

Worse place that I have ever been. The wait even with an appointment was over a half hour and then really poor customer service. They constantly talk in their language to each other in front of their customers, which isn't uncommon at a nail salon but was over the top here. My nails look horrible and are chipping on the sides already, only after 5 days? First time there and this will be my last. I am seriously considering sending the board to this place and have them graded through the Better Business Burro. Horrible, that is my one word for this place! Dint waste your time... read more

First off, the only reason I am giving this salon 5 stars is for my FAVORITE nail technician, Thu (pronounced"two"). Words alone can not explain how amazing she is! She is cares about her clients satisfaction, listens to your requests and acts on them with precision, and has a great personality! By far the best nail tech I've had in a loooonnggg time! If you want great service and your nails/toes to be "BOMBtastic"...Thu is your girl! Before I became a regular client to Thu, I had my pedicures with some of the other staff, and needless to say, I was not a happy camper. Sloppy nail polish, uneven coats, and half done manis/pedis to name a few, but what really takes the cake is seeing how upset they become when you leave a less favorable "voluntary" tip after the catastrophe....and I'm a decent tipper! I don't speak Vietnamese, but I do know how to detect unkind words! I can say that another tech by the name of Martha (give or take a few letters) is one of the few that will hook you up too! She has done my pedicure before, and I was very pleased! I like the owner too...stern, but very funny man! read more

The worst service ever!!! I was asked if I wanted gel when I first walked in and I said (kindly) no thank you, I would like a normal mani pedi for both my mother and I. We picked out our polish and then we were sat down where the owners wife started on my mothers toes. We decided to go with the spa package #5 and we let the owners wife know. About 30 min after being told to soak my feet while my mothers were almost done with her pedicure my nail artist sat down to attend me. She asked me if I wanted gel and I said no thank you (kindly.) she then asked me if I wanted a French manicure and I said no thank you, I'd like to use the color I picked out. My lady then said I think you would look better in a French manicure. I said no thank you (kindly) again. She then asked me if I wanted gel (again, I said no thank you - kindly.) she then began to rush my spa #5 package and while rubbing lotion around on my leg asked me if I wanted a #6 (I said no thank you, kindly) and she proceeded to give me a lotion wipe not a massage like it says on their spa package description. I got a 10 min wipe down, not a massage at all. Mom was finished and escorted to the nail dryers while I was sitting alone with the nail artist still asking me if I want gel after what felt like the 10th no thank you (kindly.) after my so called spa part was completed I was then asked again (no joke) if I'd like gel or French manicure... Again, no thank you. After this no thank you my nail artist started yanking my arms and legs around, touched the file to my nails but never actually filed my nails as to rush me through the mani / pedi. She started applying polish and missing the sides of my nails, I asked that she apply an even coat and to correct the polish, with a huge deep breathe she obliged. Then she proceeded to leave a messy amount of polish on my sides of my nails leaking into my skin. She finished her polish and then said I was done. I looked at my nails in horror, it looked like a 5yr old had done them. I asked if she could clean up the edges of the nails before I go ( I explained I'm on vacation and do not have access to do my own nail clean up when I get back to the hotel.) she then took a deep breathe and said fine and finally cleaned up my nails. She pointed me to go by the nail dryers and didn't even bother to turn them on for me. I carried my shoes and purse with wet nails and then had to turn on my own nail and toe dryers. I looked over and saw my nail artist talking on her cell phone. She rushed me to talk on her phone. The worst service I have ever received and a horrible job on my mani / pedi with mom. As a customer for years I shouldn't hold one visit against them, however this one visit was so awful I will never return. The lady I had was rude and argumentative. I asked her for a liner in the foot tub which she did but then beings over old tools with skin pieces still in them. I move my feet out of the way and ask her for clean tools. She rinsed them in my foot basin! Then she asked what color and I showed her and she started arguing and telling me no red because she knows I always like red. She insisted that pink would look better on me. We went back and forth and finally I just gave in. Then she draws 'hearts' on them. They looked like blobs and I never asked for or wanted hearts. She tried over and over to repaint them and I kept telling her no. Finally someone else came over and finished me up. read more

They take you quickly and friendly service, but when I got a new set of nails there, I then got painful nail fungus infections on two nails-I have NEVER had nail fungus before! When I went back and told them about it, they simply walked me back to the front door with the advice that I should "have a doctor look at it". I just think anyone should think twice about going there-I thought the prices were reasonable, but I guess you get what you pay for! read more

I was soo disappointed in this salon it has seriously been the worst I've ever gone to. Ya the prices might be cheap but so is the service. When I first showed up I was thinking it was going to be great because I was seated almost immediately but then they took like 10 minkust for someone to come and do my pedi. The water was cold and the massage on the chair didn't work ! Since they immediately sat me down when I got their I forgot to pick a color so when the lady asked me I told her I forgot to pick one but I wanted a blue one she was yelling across the room at me showing me one at a time I was so embarrassed that everyone was starring at me I just ended up picking one n I hated it . As if that wasn't enough,she was so busy having a conversation in Chinese with all the other workers she was laughing and hit my leg n didn't even realize how unprofessional she was being and the massage sucked ! I was a faithful customer for two months until tonight. I waited 30 mins, on a Monday night. Then was seated and the technician (can't remember her name) sat down and took my gel nails off, and bent my real nail back far enough where it broke. Then said "oops". She then proceed to tell me my real nails were too long and said she should trim them. I allowed her to then she cut way too short and said "I like them better that way". After that, she made them from round to square, and was rude about how they looked bad round and they are also uneven. She spent over 35 minutes trying to get the "powder off when I told her that there was no powder on there. My boyfriend was waiting with me and when she was done I asked why I didn't get the lotion, since I've been there many times and that is included and she said "cause we shouldn't make him wait"... I asked her if I was getting a discount, since I didn't get the whole service and she said no. They are rude, unfair, and unprofessional. Do not waste your time or money. read more

ive been here a total of 2 times, because my sister swears by this place. perhaps its the lady that does her nails that does an exceptional job, but on both occasions i havehad a horrible experience and a bad experience. the first time i got a pedicure the lady did my toes when she finnished she just got up moved onto the next customer and didnt say anything. i sat there for 20 minutes, then she yelled across the room you;re done. she wasnt very friendly either, she didnt say one word to me just talked to her coworkers. my second experience today i decide hey ill give this place another shot since my sister is going to her nail lady cynthia. i got the basic full set french tip simple $19. the male clerk somewhat led me to where i was getting my nails done he just walked to the back he didnt say which table so i asked the younger male at the back table if he was doing my nails and he striaght up ignored me. not only did this woman cut 5 of my fingers almost every single one of my nails has air bubbles in them. not only do the have air bubbles some are crooked. usualy i shrug things like this off but because theydid a horrible job and the service is ok i will not waste another penny here unless i go to cynthia. read more
