This is 2 days after a manicure. I would not recommend. They didn't do any cuticle work on my toenails for pedicure, and the manicure did not last. Poor quality. They brought us in and treated us like family! They get you seated on very clean chairs, get you a drink, turn on the chair massage if you like it, and get to work! I could have trimmed and painted my own toenails at home for much less money if I had realized beforehand. I am a senior on a strict budget who RARELY treats myself to a pedicure. Overall experience lasted 90 minutes. Wonderful to meet the owner who stopped by to chat and asked where we were visiting from. I paid for a cuticle trim, yet, cuticles remain. This was a brand new full set. 10 hours after my visit I took this photo and it looks like a fill is needed. The tips look awful, it's like he referenced some cheap Amazon press on nails in his mind. I will not waste my money on this salon, the owner has salons in multiple states so I hope this review is helpful for Residents and travelers alike. I will be requesting a full refund, I'll share how it's handled. My shoes were brand new, I left looking like 'they' need a deep-clean. No frills nail salon! Friendly, older employees who don't try to sell you anything except what you ask for. I got a basic mani with regular polish for engagement photos. I had an older gentleman who was so nice, and took his time with shaping & cuticles. The original color was paler than what I wanted, and he was happy to erase literally the entire thing and start over again. Manager took over for the 2nd round and we got the color perfect. 10% off if you're a teacher or UTMB employee. The most amazing part - price. I was stunned when the bill was $14.40. No attitude. Went here on a Monday, late in the morning. Walked in the door and was made to feel like you're bothering them. They just stare at you. Lol. While they have a lot of Christian phrases plastered on the walls, there is no joy in the facility. All the staff acted like they were forced to work. Everyone had puss face. I only found out because they were less than 10 hours old and started falling out. I'm so upset and I feel betrayed. Three of us stopped in here for pedicures on a Saturday. Even though it was a busy day, the staff were helpful and accommodating. We had called ahead to make reservations and they were ready for us when we arrived. One staff member brought out warmed neck wraps and cold bottles of water when we arrived. We visited Joy nails when we were on vacation. It was a nice clean shop and everyone was very friendly. I was very pleased with the quality of the work done on my acrylic nails and I loved the color! My girls also got their nails painted and the ladies there were so sweet with them. I'm very much not proud of this but sharing because when I decided to try out a pedicure, it was an amazingly positive experience.
