They advertise together and are in the same building, so I suspect it's the same owner. But I could be wrong. But a successful business must meet a real want/need too. And Reef Beach Services and Rental/Under the Sea Ice Cream seems to do that. They have most of the stuff you want and need for your idyllic beachin - burgers, hotdogs, ice cream, ice, boards, chairs, bikes, golf carts, and more. Horizontal diversification perhaps! Most other places in this area are more narrow in their range of offerings. For example, Big Daddy's is just bikes. Pecan Jack's is just sweets and ice cream. Yolo is just bikes and boards. Under the Sea Ice Cream/Reef Beach Rentals and Services has it all, and when you are trying to maximize your beach day, that matters. Meeting your potential customers where they are! It works! On our way down, I remember that I forgot to make a final confirmation, However en route late at night down to the beach my wife emailed and got a quick response. We filled out the paperwork that night and Bob had us a cart by 10a.m. the next morning. The cart was an electric Revo cart. On our second day, I ended up thinking I let the battery go dead, Bob was quick to respond /come and charge it using a generator. But after all it was not dead but 75% charge left in battery. I just accidentally bumped the kill switch. Never the less Bob did not charge for the emergency call on a Sunday night. Great experience, communication, and service.

I should have booked with the original place I looked at that was running a $99 per day special but this place was closer to us and she said she would price match. When I told her about the special, she had a bunch of questions even though I sent the screenshot information to her. We finally settled on a price that was a little more than the other place. We ended up getting to our condo early on Sunday so I let her know and she said she could bring it early and wave the early delivery fee if we allowed her to pickup earlier than normal on the night before we leave which we agreed would be fine. Vanessa repeatedly told us that we shouldn't need to charge the vehicle unless we were going to seaside multiple times. We have yet to go to seaside or Grayton beach once. In fact, it has been raining in the area so we have had to drive our regular vehicle to nearby beaches in which we could not take the cart. Sunday afternoon I got a text saying she saw us saying that our cart looked full and looked like there were teenagers on it. We had a 6 seater and had 3 adults and a 9 year old. I kind of blew the commentary off. Monday afternoon I had a missed call and then a text from Vanessa asking if the golf cart was at our condo and to see if she could come and swap out the charger cord. We were at the beach in another town and I did not see the message or call until later. She decided to go by our condo and access the golf cart even though I did not respond about it being there. I told her that we would likely need to charge it and verified if she left the cord and she said the cord was still under the seat. Fast forward to Tuesday afternoon, our golf cart was down to 3 bars of battery so we decided to look for the charger and had planned to charge it later that evening at a friends place. My husband realized the cord in there was significantly shorter than the one originally given to us when we got the cart. We called and asked why the cord was removed and given to someone else since we now would not be able to charge it due to length reaching the plug in we were able to use. At this point, Vanessa states that she needed that cord for the shop and then later retracts that statement and says that another customer wrapped their cord around something damaging it and they were given the longer cord so she lied to my husband when she originally said it was taken to the shop. She continuously talked over my husband to the point of frustration and my husband ended up hanging up the phone as no resolution was being presented to us. She then called back a few minutes later and asked if there was anything they could do and I asked if they could swap the cart out for another one with a charged battery or supply us with the original charger we thought we were going to have. I was told there was nothing she could do that evening as it was 5PM and she was grocery shopping at Publix, although Google shows they are open until 8PM. I understood it being later and said that Wednesday morning would be fine to bring the charger or swap out but was told we needed to try and use the charger that she swapped out even though I told her multiple times it would not reach. She kept asking me the address where we would be charging it and asking who gave us permission to charge the cart somewhere, etc. which frankly was none of her business and I did not want her showing up to our friends place unannounced as she had done this already at our condo. Nonetheless, she told me to at least try to charge it with the 2nd cord she gave us and at that point I just gave up. We were going around in circles and my husband and I decided we would drive it until it got down to the 2 bars of charge and have her come and get it and rent elsewhere. Unfortunately this meant we did not get to use it for a full day we had paid for. I explained to her that it did not seem right that we would not even be able to utilize the cart for the duration we paid for due to not having a suitable charger and her not being willing to swap it out. I also asked if we could be refunded just the time frame of inability to use the cart so we could rent one elsewhere and was denied that as well. 0/10 do not recommend this business. Very rude and the negative customer service is truly unmatched. Do yourself a favor and rent with Reef Beach Rentals. They were phenomenal to deal with.

Yet, it does not happen very often. My wife and I just booked a House in Destin for mid-October. I wanted a golf cart. By the way, I used to live in Destin so I knew, the Golf Cart was very important. I called two places. The second was Beach Better Golf Cart Rentals. I got a message however it said I could text them on that number. I did and got a reply back in less then two minutes. The prices were more then reasonable and I could take care of the entire transaction online. Now for the rest of the story!!!! The home we rented is one of my personal friends. I asked him which Golf Cart rental place he uses. He said, "None". The home comes with a six passenger golf cart. So I did not have to rent a golf cart after all. BUT, when I do and that will happen, this is the ONLY place I will consider. The world needs to remember that we clients just want professionalism and prompt communication.
