Price wise they were competitive.. the boats were clean and we liked the overall experience.. service was awesome . The guy explained everything clearly . There was a store at the entrance where they sold basic amenities and water/ beer etc . Better to buy anything off coast because it is very expensive inside .. Only thing to improve is their onboarding process: takes a long time . We did online waivers etc but had to redo and sign form when we reached ! It takes about 30-45 mins just for the documentation process and learning to ride . We almost lost 45 mins of the overall 4 hours . It also takes about 30 mins to crab island . An experience that has left us shaken and unwilling to EVER recommend Destiny Water Adventures! My group of 11 traveled from Atlanta, GA purposely to enjoy a day on a Pontoon Boat at Crab Island for the Labor Day weekend. We rented a Pontoon Boat from Destiny Water Adventures for a full day on August 31, 2025, and what a mistake! Upon our arrival, we were assured of a memorable and safe excursion. Instead, we were issued a pontoon boat (#10) whose condition was not only unsatisfactory but alarmingly dangerous. The back gate would not lock/shut, and we were assured everything was okay. Not even midway through our trip to Crab Island, we encountered severe issues that could have resulted in catastrophic consequences. The engine faltered repeatedly, equipment (Bluetooth, charger ports, etc.) did not work, the anchor malfunctioned, and the front gate fell off!! I sent a text message at with the headline ISSUES!! No response. On our way back to the company the engine kept faltering to the point that the front of the boat did a nosedive into the water, sending us hurling to grab life jackets! I immediately called their 800 number, and the crew appeared ill-prepared to manage emergencies and ultimately, Kallie hung up on while I was still talking! When we arrived and were greeted by Chance (whom said he was the manager), and he displayed a lack of urgency, empathy to what we had just experience in one of their company's boats, and his unprofessionalism of smirking in our faces; which were all deeply unsettling considering the circumstances. I responded my disappointment and unsatisfaction to the text received the next day and was provided an email address to send additional information. Bella was very helpful when I called to ask questions before booking. Just about everything else- not so great. The process of getting everything ready to go took 50 min. The guy helping us seemed like he'd rather be anywhere else. Once we got going, we realized the fuel and rpm gages were both broken. Then as soon as we were out of the no wake zone and able to pick up a little speed the floor of the boat started filling with water. It got us to and from Crab Island, so we didn't let it bother us too much. We aren't the type to complain, but I did let them know of the issues we had when they sent a follow-up text asking how our experience was. We were so looking forward to this 2 hour Crab Island & dolphin jet ski tour. That is what was advertised & what we most looked forward to was dolphin spotting. 30 - 40 minutes of the jet ski adventure is through no wake zones at a speed of 5mph. Although this is no fault if Destiny Adventures it is definitely something to consider if you are choosing this tour. Wilson did a good job informing us of what to expext & the way we got to ride at our own speed- which for us was fast as we are experienced riders. The ride to cab island was fast, fun & beautiful. Wilson's knowledge of the usland was exceptional. However length of time spent anchoring there left no time for any dolphin spotting. I specifically informed our tour guide Wilson that is what we were most looking forward to & he resopnded that he didnt have time to scout out dolphins. We were 3 of the 4 jet skis on our tour. The one person not with our group was a first time rider & git far behind while we sped back toward the dock. Twice my husband & i went back to make sure she couls see us while the tour guide had no concern for her location. This was a more expensive tour than some we looked at so we expected well trained guides & dolphin sightings. If you want to hang out at crab island this is the tour for you. If you want to see dolphins go with a different company. We were very disappointed. read more

We rented a pontoon and a SUP board last week. We chose the perfect day because it was the only break from the rain. The people here seemed very nice and have us the rundown of the boat. The boat was in good condition although 1 of the stereo speakers did not work and the driver's seat was a little worn out. Otherwise, everything was great. We were able to cruise / explore the bay as well as spend some time at Crab Island, which was a great time. The guides told us we could take our time coming back since there wasn't a rental following ours. Located behind a run down hotel that was a little sketchy but the rental facility was nice. I had made the reservation online for a boat rental for 4 Hours. I filled out all the disclaimer online before I got to the location and agreed to all the term and conditions but upon arrival the area of the location is in a bad neighborhood did not feel safe to leave the care in the lot and the boat they were offering me were old and the description of the location was falsely advertised to crab island. I requested to cancel my reservation and they denied to cancel and charged me the full amount of $319.00. Do not sign the waiver till you reach the destination and see the location. Second year using them. We came back because it was so great last year. Mistake. The parking lot was slammed. We parked in two spots that had the big parking blocks only to have a blonde lady come out yelling we couldn't park there. Our reservation was for 1:30. We arrived at 1. We didn't get in the boat and pulling out until 1:48. Once at crab island we realized our boat motor did not move up and down which caused it to drag and made navigating the shallow waters there VERY difficult. Towards the end of our rental a very bad storm came (water spout and all) which is when we learned the roof on the boat was not actually bolted down but basically just sitting there. So on top of navigating a storm and attempting to get back safely - we had to worry about holding our roof intact. This caused our rental to be cut short another 45 minutes. Honestly, I would love to rate higher, but I just cannot due to the attitude and poor customer service of the manager, Chance. I booked the Crab Island Jet Ski Tour, and although the tour guides were great, our group never explored crab island because we were slowed down in the beginning by other people. Our group barely got to see Crab Island - which on the website says that we would be guided through. I was willing to book the next day on a longer jet ski tour to see EVERYTHING (the dolphin and crab island tour). I just requested a discount due to the first jet ski excursion not properly delivering. When I notified the manager of this (his name is Chance), he declined to give me any discount, nor did he apologize. He told me that it was not their fault that there were slow people in the group. I believe that this should be listed as a disclaimer on the website! It is quite strange that he offered no discount, because the employee that I spoke to before him, offered me a returning customer discount of 10 percent. It is horrible that a manager of a business could not offer some type of appeasement. PLEASE spend your money elsewhere - there are plenty of other places to jet ski! read more

Our family has been coming to Destin for many years and we have always wanted to rent a pontoon and go to Crab Island. We finally rented one this year through Destiny Water Adventures and unfortunately it wasn't the experience we had hoped. Although the weather was a factor which I understand isn't their fault, the day of our rental we were not told until we checked in that we wouldn't be allowed to go to Crab Island. Being that it is one of their main advertisements and enticers for renting a boat, I think we should have been given the option to cancel instead of waiting to tell us until we got there. We were told there were several islands near by that were even better than Crab island...Not the case at all, they paled in comparison. read more

The weather conditions we very terrible. The employees did not warn us of the caps and waves in the area. In fact they recommended that we should go there. We knew that it would not be very warm but just planned on driving around. The waves were so bad that the front of the boat was in the water even when everyone is on the back of the boat. We had ten people and all had to pile in the back of the boat. It was horrible. We were terrified. We lost half our stuff in the water because it the waves were so out of control. It was so windy. With the front of the boat completely covered in water because of the waves. They did not warn us of these conditions or try and help us at all's I feel our lives were in danger. Even with the waiver we signed none of this information was disclosed to us. They do not worry about anyone safety try and help people. We couldn't stay out there with everyone completely soaked and completely scared that the boat would be in the water again. read more

Let's put it this way, I am giving 1 star ONLY because the pontoon boat engine actually started. I will put it as simple as possible, DO NOT give these arrogant, useless, idiotic crooks your business. Days prior, I found a Groupon and the booking calendar was not working. I then skimmed the ad and found the name and number of the place so I called and what do you know, I received a message saying, "this number is temporarily disconnected." I figured they went out of business and looked elsewhere. Closer to our excursion date, another rental place that was booked gave me the name and exact same number to that place that I called earlier that week. It rang and they answered giving us the regular rate of course. We went ahead and reserved the boat. When I arrived, I confronted the kid "manager" and he said that his boss changed the number. I said, "what a coincidence it was changed during the week when you have a lot of boats left at a discounted price but is now back on when they are all booked up at regular price." Not to mention it's the same number. Interesting..... I left it alone and started to make my way to the boat. When I started to make my way to the boat, he yelled at the guy bringing the boat around, "give them the red one." We automatically assumes the "red one" was a shit hole. Sure enough, it was the worse boat in the water. The horn didn't work, so we had to use a whistle that hadn't been cleaned I'm sure since the boat was purchased back in 1947. The engine didn't go very fast at all. In fact, it cut into our chill time at Crab Island. It took us 45 minutes to get there and 45 minutes to get back, when it normally takes one about half the time. I approached the kid "manager" about that upon arrival and he said, "well you rented last minute." I rented last minute because you crooks didn't want to honor your Groupon, not only that, if you didn't have a fully functioning boat, then you shouldn't of rented it out. At full price at that. Moral of this story is... DO NOT rent anything from Destiny Water Adventures!! read more
