    Shrimp tempura
    Mary M.

Had to leave a review after seeing all the negative feedback people are saying. I don't know what these people are talking about! The food quality of this place is spot on! I decided to dine in and ordered the sweet and sour chicken which comes with white rice and got 2 orders of the prawn tempura (4 come with each order) and the food was piping hot. By the time I paid, got my drink and sat down I waited less than 5 mins and my food was ready and out for me. I can see since it's a family owned business if they have their lunch or dinner rushes you can wait a little but i had a pleasant experience and the restaurant was super clean. Please try this spot out next time you're around the area, the picture does not do its justice on the taste and quality!

    PORK AND CHICKEN TERIYAKI COMBO

How do I start this review?? This place is a hidden gem in Sandy!!! This restaurant is owned by a family and is a small mom and pop shop and they work extremely hard doing everything themselves so please cut them some slack! The food at this place is absolutely amazing! The portion sides are huge and you definitely get what you paid for! I tried their 2 combo with pork and chicken teriyaki which comes with rice and salad and we got an order of gyoza (which are fried potstickers) and it was amazing!!! They make their sauces all in house (salad dressings, spicy sauce, and teriyaki sauce) you can even buy your own bottle!!! With the shortage of Sriracha sauce their house spicy is my absolutely favorite!! Please support and come try this place out and be patient with the workers as they are doing everything to provide quality food!!

    Noodles were delicious!

Came across this restaurant in passing, and to my surprise there was so much to choose from! I decided to get their chicken yakisoba noodles (they have different meat options shrimp beef pork or chicken) and got a beef teriyaki bowl all to go. They are not kidding with their portions! Their portions are huge! The beef teriyaki was nicely seasoned and charred with the house made teriyaki sauce which was so delicious, I wanted more. First time trying chicken yakisoba and it was so tasty! The pan fried noodles with the sautéed veggies and chicken and the side of rice was the perfect combination!! The restaurant is super clean and organized, it's definitely gives a home type of vibe being a small family owned business.

2 orders of Veggie spring rolls (each order comes with 3)

Wow!! Just wow!! This restaurant is amazing!! Clean and Quality is spot on! Portions are huge, i don't know what the other reviews were saying stating their portions are small?? I ordered the chicken katsu and 2 order of the spring rolls (each order comes with 3) and these are veggie spring rolls so no meat! The chicken katsu is a breaded and fried chicken pair with a peanut like sauce,it was my first time trying this and it has to be my favorite go to meal now!! The chicken was super moist and so flavorful! Cut a piece dip in the sauce and pair it with white rice and it's like heaven in your mouth! You all have to try this! Yes it takes a bit longer to make since it's fried so cut them some slack!! This has to be one of my favorite go to mom and pop restaurant now!! I'll definitely will be coming back!! It's definitely a family owned establishment and the workers work extremely hard so be patient with them.

I love Joy Teriyaki, But stay away from the one in Sandy. Cashier rude food salty, does not look or taste fresh.

They were not running around -- they were simply talking and laughing. A few nearby tables later became occupied by new customers, and apparently someone complained to the waitress that we were bothering them. Instead of defending us and explaining that the children were not doing anything wrong and were simply laughing, we were approached and asked to move to the patio because we were "disturbing other guests," even though we had been there first. Of course, I objected and said that we were not going anywhere. These are 3-year-old children -- you cannot tape their mouths shut or keep them silent like dogs on a leash. It was very unpleasant to experience such a lack of customer care. If we were seated there first and other child-free guests saw there were children in the restaurant, they could have chosen to sit on the patio instead of forcing us to move. It was very unexpected and upsetting, and it ruined the celebration for us. But the food was delicious, thank you.

The sake flight was also tasty and fun. My partner found the matcha ipa to be unexpectedly good. The menu could be easier to read though! Inconsistent formatting and usage of pictures. The vegan and GF choices here were actually exciting. My friends ordered the vegan Khao Soi and the Kati noodle soups, and both were full, thoughtful dishes, not afterthoughts. It made dinner so much easier and way more enjoyable for our whole group. This isn't a traditional ramen shop, but my husband's black garlic chintan was every bit as satisfying as some of our favorite ramen spots back in the Bay. Rich, comforting, and absolutely worth ordering at $19 for a hearty bowl. (The others were slightly pricier at $24 a pop) That said, the star of the night was my spicy shrimp ramen. Easily. The broth reminded me of a laksa base with a deep, layered flavor heavy with aromatics and umami. The shrimp on top were excellent in their own right, perfectly seared, well-seasoned, and not just a garnish pretending to matter. I also want to give the ramen eggs a shout out. I can't believe how many places get this wrong. These beauties were perfectly marinated and served warm. It's one of my biggest pet peeves to have an ice cold ramen egg dropped into my hot soup and I appreciate the consideration given to addressing this common faux pas. Fast service, a beautiful outdoor patio with a great view, and food that genuinely impressed all of us. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

"Let me know if you have any questions!". We had questions about her menu items, and she answered them nicely and thoroughly, in detail. Okay, so we order two things: the S3 and the Spicy Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen, and here's what U think about each: Tonkotsu Ramen: -The Meat doesn't have a huge initial, impactful taste, but the flavor settles in a couple seconds after you bite it and it's a very soft, warming feeling. -The Broth is where the spice is, and it's not like "oh my mouth is on fire" it's the type of spice that hits you in the back of the throat, so it's bearable but I couldn't chug it personally, I had to take sips which is nice for someone who devours their food like there's no tomorrow (like me). -The Noodles are.. just your typical Ramen noodles, nothing special to add there but nothing bad to say at all! -The Egg, although not marinated in soy sauce like some places do, was cooked well. The inside was soft and gooey, but the white was fully cooked. I have no complaints! -The Mushrooms added a nice texture to the noodles and the overall dish, and worked to make it even more satisfactory. The S3: -I don't have much to say because my cousin ordered it and I only had a few bites, but the veggies were cooked nicely... -The big boom about it was the noodles. If I had to describe it, I would say it's like.. an Orange Chicken type of Tater Tot, it was really unique and fun to eat. Next time I go, it'll be hard to decide what to order.. Okay, don't just take my word for it, go see for yourself! いただきます!

We were able to order the lunch specials. I ordered the 2 sushi for $15.50 special and got the #9 Yellowtail-Jalapeno & the #19 Alaska Roll. I ordered the Tako Yaki $8.50 off their normal menu. The rolls tasted great, I really like the Yellowtail-Jalapeno Roll because it was a maki roll and would definitely order it in the future. The Alaska Roll seemed like a basic crowd pleaser type roll like a California Roll, nothing super special but tasty. The Tako Yaki was perfection, loved it! Would order again and again. They had forgotten to bring our miso soup that came with our lunch specials orders, we had to remind them and the two soups and salad came at the end of our meal, no biggie- they were delicious. Service was very friendly, we had gotten seated and served drinks right away. They kept our waters filled. The vibe was casual and the music was great. There is plenty of parking.
