This restaurant has the best Thai food I've had since PokPok closed years ago. Very authentic and super high quality. The chef is truly talented and amazing, great prices, great service and the food is unique and so delicious. Restaurant is very clean. The outside is not fancy but don't let that deter you. I travel for work and I have been in the Portland area for quite some time. I wasn't in the heart of Portland, so I looked a few places up. Got on the phone and checked to see if they had Lettuce Wraps & in fact they did. Ordered the (Laap), Papaya salad ( Lao style of course), 2 orders of Chicken Satay Skewers and 2 sticky rices. Let me tell you, the Papaya salad tasted like one of my aunties from a Laotian Cookout had made it. Whoever was in the back cooking my food, THUMBS UP. If you're looking for some authentic taste of Lao and Thai food, come stop by here. Not a lot of Thai and Lao food in the area, but this place is a hidden gem. Much respect for the cooks and staff. Very nice, took my order and all my food was made in 20 mins. I was in and out of there faster than you could pump gas. I always support my fellow Lao people, but also locals. We ordered the yellow curry with chicken and tofu, pad garlic and pepper with chicken, the coconut prawns, & I ordered their Thai iced tea. The two entrees came with their own bowl of rice Service was good, the server took our order quickly & kept coming back often to check on us & refill our waters. Food came out in a timely manner, fresh & hot. The restaurant has that small mom and pop shop feel. They have tables with chairs, booths, and some longer tables for those big parties. All the food was good! We loved the coconut prawns, they were a perfect balance of coconut & tempura. I hate when the coconut overpowers the shrimp & all you can taste is coconut but the ones they served us were great! Pad garlic & pepper was yummy & so was the yellow curry. I love getting chicken & tofu with my curries. The Thai tea however was not that yummy, I love Thai tea & have had it at many places but I think this one was the worst I've had. I think the ratio of tea to creamer is what made it taste so bad to me. There was too much creamer & that Thai tea flavor did not come thru enough for me. Strip mall food is usually hit or miss and this place didn't meet the mark. The inside is spacious and they have a cool fire place. The service was great and everyone was friendly. The prices are on par with other local Thai places. The food was just meh. The egg rolls are frozen and it tastes like it. Even though they were cooked they still had some soggy bits. Great restaurant. Large portions. Pad Thai was always sweet to perfection but the last time I went, it seemed off. I had the chicken wings once and i don't know if they marinated the chicken in peanut sauce too but it had like a peanut taste. I did not expected the Larb to be crunchy. I was hoping more of grilled beef or a grounded beef that wasn't so crunchy like but if you prefer crunchy Larb then this is the place. I would recommend this place. This place is very underrated and doesn't get enough recognition. I came here and got three dishes for DINNER. Usually Thai places have specials for lunch which means lower prices. ImmDee just has low prices all around. For the three dishes, it was under 40 dollars. The Pad Kee Mao was very light, but packed a punch. I really enjoyed it without feeling bloated or heavy afterwards. The papaya salad was so spicy, but I couldn't stop eating it. Every time I took a bite and swallowed, my mouth would keep salivating until I ate more. It was a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, salty, and sour. The Khao Soy is a new one that I usually don't get, but now I will be getting it. I literally don't even know how to explain it, but you get soup, noodles, crunchy noodles, and they give you a plate of toppings to throw in as well. It is very savory, so I definitely recommend adding in the toppings they give you. I love this place and the people who run it. Everyone is always friendly and treats us like family. read more

This Thai restaurant is a literal hidden gem. We visit this side of town for food every now and then and ImmDee is a now a regular visit. Staff is friendly, and overall I find it not too full most visits. Due to the nature of the menu options, it can be a wait for a larger family since all dishes are made from scratch. Menu: they have a wide selection but even more is that their portions are HUGE! At least for what I'm used to at most Thai restaurants. They are extremely generous and most menu items can be split between two people easily. I am extremely picky with Pad Thai but theirs always packs the right amount of flavor to get me wanting more. We usually order the chicken. Not extremely sweet and spicy or not, flavor doesn't change. Prob my fave Pad Thai in Oregon now. The Pork Larb is a must every visit. I usually order Thai spicy - but it's not that spicy imo. Ask for their sides of sauce holder, can't go without the Thai peppers and fish sauce to enhance flavors. read more

I wasn't too sure about this spot when I walked in but was pleasantly surprised. A little cluttered but I loved the long tables that went through the center, great family dining for sure. I had the green curry and my son had the Pho, we shared the egg rolls and crab wontons. It was all very good, big fan of Pho but the green curry beat it out tonight. I usually love this restaurant but I ordered takeout the other day and I spent over $50 and got very little food. It looked like it might be good from the container but it was mostly watery sauce with very little flavor. Not sure if they are purposely watering down their sauces now but I won't order again until they fix this and give enough food to fill someone up. I don't eat very much and I was still hungry after eating all of the curry I got. Chicken and about 4 small pieces of carrot and the same for the other veggies. Not a lot of chicken either. This place was surprisingly empty on a Saturday night at 7pm, our party of 8 was seated immediately. Having not been here before that made me nervous, but no need - everything was great, and the service was surprisingly fast too. Multiple orders of pad Thai, yakisoba, Tom ka, pad Thai woon sen, salad rolls and egg rolls. Everything came out in different orders, basically as soon as it was off the grill it was on the table for us. So everything was so hot we had to wait for it to cool before digging in. Once we could though, we were all quite happy - great portion sizes, lots of meat in each dish, and great flavor in each dish. Stars of the show were the pineapple fried rice and the tom ka soup, which comes out in a really interesting bowl that has a chimney in the middle of it and a candle under it to keep every single bite steaming hot - I want to get one of these for home! A big note - they lean on the spicier side, so if you're used to ordering medium (like I am) you might want to go with mild and add your own at the table. read more

With the help of Yelp community I encounter this place with the good review. When we went there I was kind of skeptical about it since I don't see anybody eating there. But still trusted my guts to try the food. My boyfriend ordered drunken noodles and I ordered orange chicken. I was praying for it to be crunchy like what it says in their description. I thought I was going to be disappointed but the both foods are delicious. They got my orange chicken super crispy to my liking. And the service was fast. We even had left over to take. Can't speak on food, but didn't even have the chance. Called and made reservations for 15 people. Got there 10min early, never greeted. Waiter just said middle table in back. Only one 1 table had people at it so no busy at all. Sat down, waiter poured and left all cups at end of table for us to pass around ourselves and just walked off. Waiter then sat down 3 other tables behind us, poured them water, gave them menus, took their orders and one table even got their food before anyone ever came up to us again. 25min later we got up and left. Restaurant didn't even acknowledge we were there. Never received menus or anything. First time and last time unfortunately. Reading through some of their reviews, it seems like a constant disregard for customers. Ended up going to another Thai Restaurant in Gresham. Not busy either, but we were greeted and sat down right away with menus, water and waitress took drink orders even. This was all within 5min of being in the restaurant. We visited ImmDee last night for dinner and were sadly the only guests in the whole place for most of the time. However, don't let that deter you should you arrive and that's the case. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. The value is excellent. The environment is cozy with the nice gas fireplace. And this would be a great place to catch a game as they have several TV's on the walls in the upper area. The staff is gracious and kind, much as you would expect in the Thai/Lao culture. We had salad rolls with shrimp, massaman curry with chicken, Thai BBQ chicken (absolutely delicious) and Thai fried rice with shrimp (they give you lots of shrimp, not just a few). This is a really great place to get very well prepared thai food and excellent alcoholic mixed drinks. We first tried ImmDee on New Years Eve 2019, and definitely have went back for carry out many times after. Every dish we've had from here has been delicious and the portion sizes are great. The restaurant itself is very cute and quiant, love the fireplace and the bar. Each drink is made with fresh ingredients and as someone who doesn't drink too often I was able to enjoy the beverages and just the general atmosphere.
