Was craving sushi and decided to try this spot -- no regrets. We ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll and Siam Roll and devoured both before I could even snap a pic. Seriously delicious Service was great even though they were busy. They did run out of a noodle dish I wanted, but the staff accommodated us right away. The ambiance is great, though it's a smaller space so expect a wait if it's packed. We'll definitely be back to work through more of the menu, especially the sushi. read more

The food was very sweet. I got the pad Thai and their chicken noddle soup which I thought would have cilantro and thin rice noddles but no it had broccoli and thick noddles. Very sugary. Pad Thai was too sugary as well. read more

The place itself is small with few tables, but they have cute decorations. Our server was accommodating, and he dealt with us with a smile. The food was land with not much flavor so much so that we kept asking for different sauces. There's plenty of street parking in the area. We came to Siam Sushi for a quick snack. The place itself is not very big but it can definitely accommodate a group of people if need be. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered from Siam primarily because it was one of the few Sushi places available on Postmates in the east MultCo area, and I honestly wasn't expecting much. But I was very pleasantly surprised! I don't do raw sushi, so I can't speak to that. I got the Spider Roll, one of my all-time favorites; the Siam roll (minus the spicy tuna); and the avocado roll. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and comparable in quality to some of the best sushi I've had at higher-end sushi restaurants. I will be eating here again. read more

First off I wanna say the staff was very friendly and we got our order to go which was ready in 30 minutes so it was a great start. We ordered a dragon roll, Caterpillar roll, pork ramen, and some noodles. The dragon roll and caterpillar roll look almost identical when we opened the boxes with the exception of the shrimp tail sticking out. They both tasted mostly like rice and avocado. I didn't see any eel in the dragon roll and it was almost dry since there were no sauces on either of the rolls. I feel like dragon and caterpillar rolls are a staple in most sushi restaurants and these were by far the most plain ones I have ever had in my life. As for the ramen I was also very very disappointed. The noodles had no flavor and the pork was tough, over boiled, and flavorless. The broth was decent but definitely didn't make up for it and my fish cakes were no where to be found. Over all I will not be going back I feel like I spend to much money for the lack of flavor in all of the food and there was honestly nothing about the food I liked and I didn't end up finishing either roll or the ramen. read more

This was a pleasant surprise. Fresh off of a massage in Corbett and in a rush to get down to Dayton (I know the gas stations love us) for the Yelp event we thought we'd better grab a quick meal. There was the Sushi/Thai place (Siam Sushi) or Italian. Since I always over bread (eat too much of it love it). I elected to pick the sushi place. It had a lot of Thai dishes listed as well as sushi and some combo plates that included both. I picked out a Thai stir fry with mostly vegetables and chicken. It came with (I didn't realize it until it was placed in front of me) egg flower soup. But not just any egg flower soup the most flavorful, veggie filled egg flower I've ever tasted. It had fresh carrots, etc., in the soup. As my guy said, most egg flower soup tastes like it's been sitting around for the last month. This actually tasted like it was something new and different. Then the main course came with many vegetables, chicken and rice. It was just right. My guy picked the pad Thai with chicken which he said was equally tasty. All that and we were in and out in about 30 minutes, just enough time to get our Yeep on. One curious note, it didn't both me but they would probably make more money if they offered drinks. The waitress who was very efficient and kept out water glasses full didn't mention it. Frankly, after a massage all I want is water any way but they may want to consider it. All that food and the total bill was $14.00. Tasty dishes and not much capital outlay. This is what I'm talking about. Be warned this place is not fancy and it's kind of oddly laid out in a small space. Kind of two separate rooms but if you want tasty menu items at a low price this is the place to go. Just got our official every other year eye exam across the street so we hit this place for lunch after.. We sat in the back of the place as the wind was howling and every time the door opened you would be getting that whole cold breeze. The set up is a little strange as it's broken up so that you almost feel like you are frankly in a different room when you go back there. There is what some might call a view.. Ambience? We did get to see and hear the railroad trains run through with their nostalgic whistles sounding. It's a great sound. The waitperson was as sweet as can be and was readily available. Their menu offers not only thai, but also sushi items.. and maybe even some other country menu items. Not sure if I was in a thai place, or a sushi place or?? We tried to just stick with the thai part of the menu and ordered pad thai (safe right?), some "fresh" (as they say on their menu) rolls which are salad rolls, and I got the Tom yum seafood soup. The salad rolls were HUGE.. And there were 4 of them.. however, they not only had the usual ingredients, i.e. shrimp, herbs, noodles, BUT it had chicken in it.. hmm.. and #1 not on the menu and #2 we don't eat chicken.. so that was a surprise.. From there, I got my "bowl" of soup. You can also order a "pot" of soup. At any rate, the Tom yum seafood soup was full of salt flavor. As far as the "seafood" , it had a few calamaris, no shrimp at all, 1 scallop.. so not impressed. I was hungry so it filled me up and kept me warm. The pad thai my partner ordered was not anything to write home about. It was your run of the mill pad thai. Portions were good. All in all, pedestrian. read more

Just watched this circus clown serve 3 people there whole meal. Let me remind you I'm here alone. Just me. I ordered a Thai coffee, and two orders of the salmon roll. Still waiting for my other rolls. Watching this group of 3 that came in after me finish up there meal. Why the truck do you guys take ten years for one dude? Wow! What an absolute TREASURE of a find on the eastern edge of Portland in this little community of Troutdale. We got especially lucky because it was just down the street from our hotel. I had the special, Lobster Tempura Roll and my wife had the Volcano Roll; both under 10 bucks each and both were VERY ample in size! The Lobster Roll had meaty chunks of lobster tail meat, tempura fried. This rolled in with avocado and asparagus and some spicy mayo on the side. 8 BIG pieces of delicious sushi. The Volcano Roll was amazingly big! A California Roll topped with this MOUNTAIN of baked seafood combination. I saw shrimp and crab and I'm sure some fish but couldn't tell what for the mayo sauce baked in with it. All incredibly good! The service was exceptional although, with only one sushi chef, they came out one-at-a-time, as fast as he could put them together. Doesn't matter, it was still great. I've yet to find as good a sushi for such a good price. I don't know when we'll ever be back this way but, if we are, I'm making it a point to come back. read more

Spicy enough to my nose run, but not so much that it burned my tongue. Full on half shell oysters, scallops, and tail-on shrimp... Just wow. *Hearts* My friend had the Tom kar seafood. She really enjoyed it. She can't have the spicy stuff for a while, much to he chagrin, so this was right in the money. She also got the fresh rolls. She enjoyed the rolls but was a little disappointed that they weren't more traditional with Thai mint and bean sprouts. To me, they were like a salad burrito if you will. Wowzie!!! We just moved back to the Eastside and soooooo happy we found this little gem! They have my two favorite cuisines in one restaurant; sushi and Thai. Both were excellent. We had the Tom Kah soup, two sushi rolls and the Pad Thai. Service was fantastic, prices fair and the food was as spectacular. The hot dishes were piping hot and fresh. Worst sushi I have ever eaten over cooked rice.l, California roll crab pure mush like baby food, fish lacking fresh taste. Seared salmon came completely raw but we ordered take out so my husband seared it himself but the dish was missing the sauce and green onion that is classically served on seared salmon. All three rolls extremely small and fresh taste was lacking. Extremely disappointment as we have seen this location many times and finally decided to give it a try. Both come in these HUGE bento boxes and include three pieces of sashimi and three pieces of California roll. They also have really good desserts like fried bananas and icecream,Lycee,fried icecream. Lovely little place. Small cafe feel. Plenty of noodle, curry and sushi options with prices ranging from about $9 to $15 per plate/entree not including appetizers. Our party had 4 adults and 1 toddler. I was a little nervous to bring my 20 month old son who loves to make loud noises and throw things. What can I say, we're rebels. That or we're just rude to all the people on a date night trying to get away from toddlers/children. I digress. The staff was pleasant and timely. Our waiter was welcoming to our little guy and gladly brought us a highchair. We assumed the menu would not be toddler friendly so we brought our own however we ordered the Pad Thai if we got it to go our son would have loved it (he typically refuses all food served by a restaurant when we're AT the restaurant itself). It was very mild and pleasing--he would have gobbled it up if we were at home. We also ordered the Beauty and Beast Roll (eel, tuna and avocado). It was quite good. Fresh and light. Overall our experience was peaceful (within reason of a toddler), timely and satisfying. I hope to visit again and try some of the other sushi options as well as the Sake. read more

Came during business hours and sign is on saying open, menu hours say open but doors locked with sign that says closed till 4 when they should be open at 12pm and its 2:45 right now.
