Avoid joybird! The furniture looks nice on their website but the quality is not worth the price. What's even more horrifying is their customer service. We ordered a couch over 4 months ago and they lost the first one and now can not locate the second one. Their customer service is pathetic. In total we have purchased about 6 pieces from Joybird. Only one of them arrived on time. The other took months. At one time, they were better about customer service and quality but something has changed and incredibly no one on their seems to give a sh#t about resolving issues. read more

She followed through for us until the issue was resolved. Very poor experience. I ordered the Briar Leather Sofa on May 7 2020. Estimated delivery 6-8 weeks. After 11 weeks, I discover that production of the couch I ordered has not even started. In fact, after numerous phone calls to JoyBird customer service, I find out that the couch I ordered is no longer being manufactured. I was told to expect a call from a supervisor who would work with me to remedy the situation. This call never came. I understand issues can arise, and timelines can be pushed back; however, I do not understand the lack of communication and customer service. I do not recommend ordering from JoyBird. read more

I love Joybird! I am a repeat customer. A few years ago, I bought a chair from them - don't remember the style and it's not on their site anymore. It's beautiful and comfortable - one of the most utilized pieces of furniture that I own. This chair did arrive much later than I expected, but it was not a problem for me. I received the Aubrey sofa within the past month and it is amazing - it looks like a piece of art. It arrived right on schedule. I have no complaints at all with either experience. A single star is too high of a rating for this company. Their logistical team leaves a lot to be desired. On two separate occasions they made delivery of incomplete orders, which they weren't even aware were incomplete. To add insult to injury, when I called to voice my concern of the the second incorrect delivery, I was accused of reporting an inaccurate account of events by one of their customer service agents (Rommel). The audacity of rubbing salt in the wound! The list is too long to recount all of the inefficiencies and dismissive interactions we've had with this company. We'll will never make another purchase from them, and we'll ensure that none of our family nor friends become customers, and subsequently subject themselves to the frank incompetence and disorganization of this company. I wish I had only read the online reviews before I had the shadiest delivery experience of my life. It would have saved a lot of heartache. Before I get into the gory details, its only fair that I commend Kyle from the Brooklyn store who was professional, supportive, and genuinely concerned during my whole delivery disaster ordeal. I will preface by saying that I was absolutely hoping to enjoy the beautiful customized sofa and stunning credenza with matching night tables. I painted my apartment to match the furniture, moved things around to make space for the delivery and took time off from work. So far so good. On delivery day what an absolute and utter DISASTER! I knew things were off to a bad start when I received a call from the driver whining that I did not have an elevator and that a five floor walk up was a lot of work. (Mind you, I am not so callous or simple minded that I don't understand that moving furniture up 5 stories is back breaking work). But his statement was in complete contrast to the amazing customer service I had received at the Brooklyn store.) I had to explain to him that I had been clear and upfront about these details with the store and they had told me its was not a problem. Upon arrival things went downhill fast, the two moving guys insisted that I pay $300 because of the 5 floor walk up. Supposedly, according to their policy, they could not pass the 3rd floor without charging said fee. I immediately called the Brooklyn store (Kyle) who was perplexed by this. The whole situation was incredibly awkward and believing this was a legit policy, I was at one point even willing to give them the three hundred dollars to keep things moving (literally). But then they would only accept cash and not provide a company receipt. Clearly something was up. The driver of the truck then came back upstairs now saying that the sofa and credenza pieces were two big. Mind you the pieces were still on the truck. Annoyed, I went downstairs to measure the hallway, doorway, and staircase. I had to provide them a measuring tape (which THEY should have had) so they could measure the pieces on the truck. There was a lot of vagueness around confirming if the pieces would fit or not. The two movers said one thing the driver another. But overall they just did not seem up to task or willing to make make the effort to move the furniture. Was this because I didn't give them the $300? ($100 for each?) At this point the experience was about making it easier for them than getting me the furniture. Frustrated, I offered to cancel any pieces that they struggled with to make things easier and they agreed to move the smaller night tables and asked me to prop open the building door. I went upstairs to wait and after 20 minutes came back downstairs. They had taken off and left left me high and dry with no furniture. I felt so disrespected. They could have communicated to me if they experiencing any challenges moving the couch and credenza or just even to say they were not going to bring up the furniture. I immediately called the store and explained the ordeal and demanded a full refund. Months of planning and anticipation wasted for nothing. But the story doesn't end there. I had to fight with the phone customer service manager for a refund on the lamps that had arrived a month before the order, because it wasn't within the "return window". I had to explain my rational for the return even offering to make the example that I'm not returning the lamps because I don't like the color but because my entire order had to be canceled due to the shadiness of the deliverymen who tried to hustle me for $300 and then took off without delivering. The rep was excellent but the manager would not speak with me. She offered me a "one time" exception to return the lamps. What a joke - You cancel an order because the delivery men are potentially trying to steal $300 from you and you get a one time exception as if this were your fault. I wouldn't flat out say don't shop at this store even though they deserve I say it. No one should risk potentially being hustled by the "gangster" tactics of the delivery service. If I had acted as they did on my job, I would have been straight up fired. Until that is resolved, you as a customer are taking a big risk. read more

Honestly, we love the couch, at least the portion that we have. We ordered in January, it was delivered in March. A bit of a wait, but no big deal. Well one of our pieces was bright orange. Not the white we ordered. They took the orange piece away and I reached out to customer service. More than a week later they finally respond saying they are "looking in their warehouses" for the missing piece, which should take 3-5 business days. Well, two weeks go by, no response. I email again. No response. I email again. Another week goes by, we finally get a response. Basically the same response. They are "looking in their warehouses". My husband calls customer service, gets sent to voicemail. Calls another day, no answer. Finally gets ahold of them and convinces them to put in a new order for the missing piece. (Why couldn't they do that a month earlier??). Well I just checked today and the order is still estimated to be delivered in 2 1/2 months. So that second order would take around 3 months for a single piece. That's 4 1/2 months after the rest of the couch was delivered. 6 months since our original order. The quality seems good so far. Stay away from this trash of a company. They are thieves. I paid in full for a sofa on 1/24/21 and was given 3 different delivery dates that have came and went with no sofa. They do not answer the phone and it takes days for them to call you back, and if you miss the call, you start all over again. We chose this company after doing much research. We bought the Briar Sleeper Sectional and after 3 months, it arrived with a manufacturing fault. After going through the inspection process by their local representative, we asked to change to a different couch model. They rejected this request and could only exchange for the same model. They ask you to get the refund, be without a couch for months again before you receive your new one. After going through multiple avenues of feedback about their process, they kept saying the same thing. Overall, unaccommodating, uncaring, robotic, no ownership in their manufacturing fault, and the last straw for us was that there was no accountability for their managers to take on serious process flaw feedback. Undeserving of their customers. Furthermore, the transportation company that they use, JB Hunt, did a no show on the day of pick up! After giving this feedback to Joybird, they again did not try and help, they just keep saying their favorite passive aggressive sentence: "sorry for the inconvenience" and put it back on us to reschedule. Still waiting on a couch I ordered in June. There has been no proactive communication from them regarding any of the many delays. Nobody picks up the phone when I call, and on the rare occasions when I have been able to make contact with a customer service person, they deflect and blame third parties for any issues. This is the highest price I have ever paid for a piece of furniture and I cannot speak to the quality because.... uh... I have yet to see a piece of furniture. Bought 2 Joybird Welles sofas a little over 2 years ago. The sofas looked great. However, from early on the tuft buttons on the seats began to pop out. Joybird sent out a repairer on several occasions to fix the buttons. Both sofas were lightly used and it seemed clear early on, the system used to manufacture the seat was flawed. The repairers confidentially confirmed. We indicated this determination to Joybird for settlement, but to an avail. As soon as the 2 year warranty expired, Joybird told us we were on our own. We've spent $250 so far repairing it. These sofas were expensive. Stay away. read more

Listen to the other reviewers who say "stay away." If I had to do it over again, I would have purchased from ANY other furniture store. The entire process with Joybird has been a total pain. We're now going on 10 weeks, waiting on furniture that was supposed to ship in 1-2 weeks (a.k.a. "Quick Ship"). At first, I got cutesy/unnecessary handwritten postcards, thanking me for my order, and almost daily notifications through their website, letting me know that someone was working on my order. But then, all of that stopped abruptly. After we passed the 4-week mark with no updates, I contacted their customer service, which informed me that since not *all* of my order had been "Quick Ship" (I'd also ordered two side chairs that supposedly were going to take "5-6 weeks"), they would only ship the entire order once it was complete. Fine. At least it gave me a clear window of time, right? After the 6-week mark had passed, I contacted them again. This time, it took about a week for someone to get back to me, and they made all sorts of excuses about "We're a young company; please be patient with us" and "We're waiting to hear back from the factory." (With the amount of time it was taking to get a response, I was beginning to think the factory was on Mars, not Tijuana, as the website says.) Finally, I get an email saying, "Your completed order should ship out next week...expect up to 10 days in transit, 2-3 days for your local carrier to log the order, and then they'll schedule delivery...you'll get an email when everything ships." So, I'm figuring--okay, maybe another 15-20 days til the furniture arrives. Fine. At least my furniture is done and I have a real window of time. When we hit the 9-week mark and I still hadn't received an update or shipping notification, I reached out again. It took several days for someone to get back to me. This new person told me "your order will be packaged next week." Because that was incredibly vague (I'm picturing my furniture being crated and sitting in some warehouse for another month before it actually ships), I contact them again. It takes 3 more days to get a response. A totally new person says, "Good news! Your furniture is almost done being upholstered! It needs to go through a quality check, and then should be packaged up next week." This made my blood boil: How do you go from my order being complete and "ready to ship next week" to "we're still upholstering your chairs and they need to go through QA" almost a month later?! After all of the lies and runaround from their customer service (and after all the terrible reviews that I've read lately, recounting horror stories of bungled deliveries, damaged items, and shoddy craftsmanship of the furniture itself), I pulled the plug and cancelled my order, demanding a full refund. Don't believe any of the marketing copy on their website or their ads about being able to track your furniture build. You'll be left in the dark for weeks upon weeks, and you'll still have an empty living room after months of waiting. Seriously: shop ANYWHERE else. read more

We ordered a table on March 15, 2020 and had prompt delivery within a week or so. Unfortunately, the table was not made correctly and they couldn't assemble it. The delivery personnel said they would return it to Joybird and that Joybird should send us a replacement. I called Joybird and they said that they would not send a replacement until they had pictures from the delivery company of the defective item. Strange, since this was in no way the customer's fault, but oh well. They told me it would take a couple of days to get the photos. A week later, I had heard nothing. I reached out to them and they told me another couple days. They kept saying another couple days for yet another couple of weeks. All this time they would still not send out a replacement either. Finally, they got the photos and said they'd order a replacement. That was April 10th,and the replacement table has still not shipped as of today April 17th. This customer service has been terrible. I called them and said I understood that they were probably short staffed in light of COVID-19, but they assured me they were at full operation. So what's the excuse then? I would really like them to make this right as their furniture looks great on the website, but as of now I cannot recommend Joybird to anyone. read more

I ordered this chair as a holiday present - it was supposed to get here by the end of Hannukah. About a week before I was getting worried because I hadn't gotten a call to schedule yet so I called. They said they would get back to me the next day... no answer. I emailed....no answer. I called again... and they finally got back to me and said no it wouldn't be ready (Um, obviously. It was supposed to be here the next day at that point.) Well, they successfully made sure I wouldn't be able to order anything else for the holidays, so I kept waiting. 4 weeks later, I stayed home for my 4 hour delivery window... and waited. They called a half hour after the window ended to say they would be late (funnily enough, I had already figured that out) and came at 7:30 on Friday night. Both the delivery men were wearing boots CAKED with mud... which was then all over my house. So after all that waiting, I got to spend a few more hours cleaning all my floors and the rug. I was really hoping the chair would be worth it... but no. We got the upholstery in Tussah Snow (white) and it is filthy. Every corner of both cushions is brown from dirt. The wood does not look anything at all like the picture. It was supposed to be walnut (we have a walnut console and table) and looks nothing like those... it is more a flat espresso brown with no variation that was in style circa 1995. I thought maybe my experience with the company had been so bad that it was coloring my view of the chair, so I asked my sister if she liked it and she said, "Yea. Why, you don't?" I said I felt like it looked like it was painted brown instead of actual wood and she said, "Oh. This is wood? I thought it was plastic!" She thought it was a cool $100 chair from Target. Which, if it were a chair that cost $100 and I could pick up and take home in a day that would be fine. But $700 is a lot to pay for a cheap looking chair that arrived covered in dirt. I requested the return hours after getting it. Please save yourself the trouble and don't deal with this company - I kept thinking it would be worth the wait but I can't tell you how much I wish I had just ordered something else months ago. DO NOT BUY THIS FURNITURE. It is junk, pure and simple. We made the mistake of buying a Briar couch that broke after a few weeks (at the leg). SInce we had to wait at least three weeks for a replacement, I made a temporary repair and discovered that these have a flawed design. The section that holds all the weight at the corners and supports the leg is a flimsy piece of wood flimsily attached. We received a replacement couch with the assurance that the problem would be fixed, and we had THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH THE REPLACEMENT COUCH. In total my wife and I have wasted approximately 10 hours of our lives either 1) repairing these piece of junk so that we have something safe to sit on, and 2) going back-and-forth with endless emails and super-slow customer service that takes at least 48 hours to schedule a phone call, let along answer an email in a timely manner. The craftsmanship is horrible, the customer service is super slow, and the product is unsafe. My 70-pound daughter sat down gently the first time this couch broke, so it has nothing to do with the way we were using or treating this couch. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! After 6 months, the fabric on my "pet friendly" couch is permanently darkened where my dogs nap. My dogs are indoor dogs and probably the cleanest dogs getting on your furniture. I have cleaned the couch regularly according to your website's instructions. I have an 8 year old couch from West Elm that never made any claims about being pet friendly that does not have this problem. The dogs' beds don't have this problem. The comforters they lie on don't have this problem. ONLY your "pet friendly" couch does. When I contacted customer service, they directed me to the cleaning instructions I was already following and told me it wasn't pet-proof. I wasn't expecting pet-proof but I was expecting it to hold up at least as well as other products not even claiming to be pet-friendly. Your refusal to do anything about this matter is extremely poor customer service, and your continued marketing of your products as pet-friendly is just plain wrong. read more

I ordered my custom couch last year. There were a whole bunch of delays, but that was to be expected. I'm not a monster. I understand. But then, delivery day was scheduled! Exciting news. I followed directions exactly, which meant clearing the space for the delivery by giving away my old couch. This turned out to be a big mistake. The Lewis Sectional is delivered in two peices, both peices wrapped and labled with my name and presumably my order number. But the second peice that was brought into my home was not mine- it was for a left arm sectional (so the arm was on the wrong side). The delivery guys wanted to put the peices together longways like a bed. I declined this offer and refused delivery. Now, here's the fun part. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TALK TO A LIVE PERSON AT JOYBIRD. I left two messages. I sent emails. Four and a half hours after sending my original email, they responded that they would perform a "dock search" to locate my couch. Five days later I sent another email. THREE days after that they thanked me for my continued patience and said they hadn't forgotten me. Reassuring. Infuriatingly, they also said "Please let us know if you have any questions in the meantime. The team here at Joybird would be happy to help!" Are they happy to help? It seems that replying at all is a chore. I responded a few days after that seeking any kind of resolution (build another, refund, etc.). Crickets. They have not replied. I really like the couch, but I do not like Joybird. Joybird does not bring joy. It brings disappointment and hopelessness. I've been sitting on my living room floor for a couple weeks now thinking about my lack of couch and feeling sad. read more

This is about the Juliana coffee table. It arrived two weeks late but that's not so bad. However, they didn't include the glass top. It's been four weeks since I contacted them about getting the top delivered so I could use it. They offer excuse after excuse and it still isn't here. I ordered their Blythe dresser on July 22nd. First was disappointed that it would take 6 weeks to be delivered. I didn't receive any updates on the progress unless I initiated the conversation. At the end of September they said the dresser would be delivered on Oct. 20. Yesterday (October 8th) they left a message saying that it couldn't be completed and my order was cancelled. After almost THREE MONTHS! Then when I called to complain and talk to a supervisor I was told no one was available and all she could promise was that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. Had a terrible customer service experience . They were unwilling to do anything about a faulty product because they only have a warranty on their furniture. I've never had such an bad experience with customer service from any other company. So disappointing. They do not seem to care about their customers satisfaction. Joybird has been one of the worst buying experiences I have ever had. It amazes me that this company is even still operating. Sectional sofa was delivered on time, however delivery company left sofa in boxes at our front door and would not assemble it. When trying to assemble myself, holes were not screwed for all of the feet and the bracket to attach the love seat and chaise were missing. One of the feet when attached was off by more then 45° from the other feet. It also was apparent that the love seat was sent before it had been completed. Joybird manufacturing (in Mexico) forgot to attached the wood base trim to the love seat. Horrible quality control and from the photos included it can be seen their very poor workmanship. Fabric is rippled everywhere and padding is very inconsistent. Good luck trying to get anyone on the phone to assist, they enjoy hiding behind emails. Joybird sent technician to install faulty legs and attach bracket. Technician was very nice, however did not take any care with my home, dropping tools on the floor and even scuffing my hardwood floors with the sofa! Technician had to remove bottom of the chaise because the three screws they sent for the bracket (should have been four) were too short to reach the nuts that were installed in the chaise and love seat! When reattaching bottom fabric, very sloppy leaving sharp staples exposed that I had to remove. While bottom fabric was removed, I was able to observe the horrible construction inside. I am waiting on the bottom wood trim to be delivered so that it can be installed! Don't let the photos on Joybird's website fool you, horrible quality and they are very reluctant to fix their deficiencies (i.e. replace the entire sofa with one that has been built with care)I have had quality 100x better from IKEA. Go look at the Better Business Bureau and you will see they received an F and rightfully so. I should have paid more attention to the reviews on Yelp before attempting to buy from this company. I ordered a Soto chair at the end of April with a delivery date between June 3-9. I thought I'd be getting the chair this week, but since I had received no updates in over 2 weeks, I called Joybird directly. Come to find out they were "having problems sourcing the wood" and the chair was actually nowhere near complete. The representative checked into it and was told the chair would "probably" be done at the end of June and "hopefully" I'd receive it sometime in mid-July - but no promises. Had I not contacted them directly, I would have no idea about the delay since there was zero communication from Joybird. I decided to cancel the order vs. waiting to see if "maybe" I'd get a chair sometime in the next 6+ weeks. The worst part? Their website will not allow me to leave a review, since I did not actually receive the product I ordered. What a clever way to ensure that unsatisfied customers are not heard! I cannot stress enough to people - please read the online reviews on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau - not just Joybird.com - and think twice before placing an order with this company, as they do not deliver on their promises! I rarely write reviews. But with how badly Joybird handle customers orders, I have to write this review, so people can be informed before they decide to make purchasing with this company. On Nov 22nd, I placed an order for Bryan-U sofa and Lois Media console based on the good reviews of these 02 items. Scheduled delivery Dec 22nd. I was so excited with my order and checked on their build update almost daily. On Dec 06, I was notified Bryan-U sofa has been finished and shipped out. I was joyful and can't wait for them to delivered. On Dec 16, I checked on my order again, part of the order media console was still waiting for production, even it is the fast shipping item (7-10 businesses day). I texted Joybird to ask on the update. They get back to me 2 days later and told me it will be shipped out the next day. I thought it's ok and patiently wait and hopefully my order can get to me before Christmas. On dec 26, I received a call from Lizbeth from joybird told me that my order of console media will be delivered to distribution center by dec 27th and if I was lucky, their third party transportation company can contact me to schedule delivery before new year. On Jan 3rd 2020, I called joybird customer service again to ask updates on my order delivery schedule. I couldn't believe that I was told the media console still has not shipped out. I asked the lady to double check because it's not I was told. She said she had to reach out to production team to find down what is going on. I wonder with Joybird if they really took notes of conversation with customers. Because it's so inconsistent of information they gave me every time I contacted them. I was so upset and asked them to cancel my entire order. I thought this may be one of the best purchasing experiences but it turns out the worst shopping experience I ever had. read more

Joybird was not helpful in estimating its arrival. It finally arrived on 1/13/20 completely broken and the shipping company took it back with them. We ordered the Hughes reversible sectional and the Hughes chair in May. Estimated arrival dates for both were July 5th and July 13th. I had had my eye on this couch and chair since 2016, and now that our kids are a little older, we decided to take the plunge and order them. The estimated dates came and went, and by July 20th I reached out via email inquiring when we would get our furniture. I was told the couch now had an estimated date of August 11th and the chair order had been "lost" and that they would get started on it. Now, I understand mishaps happen, plus we are in the middle of a pandemic. We were pretty lenient on the time issue. I mean, it was certainly frustrating, but not the end of the world to wait a couple weeks more. What really was aggravating was the fact that no one reached out to us at all- I was the one to initialize communication. And if I hadn't, would our chair have ever even been made? Anyway, we ended up getting the couch a week past the new promised date and the chair arrived in early September. The furniture itself is lovely and feels solid, and holds up wonderfully to a family of four people and five cats. The material (synergy pewter) is magical- it's somehow immune to cat scratches. I LOVE our couch and chair, and they were certainly worth the wait. I would, however, NOT recommend this company to any family or friends, because of the customer service issues. We did buy the extra pet guarantee, but honestly I worry we wasted our money, because I feel like we are on our own should any issues arise because of their customer service's overall lack of communication. read more

I ordered an Elliott Sleeper Sofa from Joybird, and had a wonderful experience with ordering and customizing my sofa. I loved the emails from Joybird letting me know the progress and updates, that is until they hand off shipping to J.B. Hunt Final Mile. J.B. Hunt is absolutely horrible and ruined the entire experience for me. Once Joybird ships your furniture to J.B. Hunt, it's by rail so you get zero updates for a week or so. I kept calling J.B. Hunt to see if they could give me an estimate for arrival time so that I could coordinate my work schedule. Their staff is rude and inflexible and told me that they don't have any details for me. Then the day it arrives at J.B. Hunt warehouse, you get a limited window for when you can schedule delivery and they don't give you any options for time. I ordered the white glove service where they assemble and unpackage for you. I thought I'd be treated a little better going that route. WRONG. They allowed me only to select a weekday for delivery, which made me start getting nervous so I called J.B. Hunt to see if they could deliver after 5 p.m. Nope. They'll give you a 4-hour window until the driver is on the way. Well, of course, I have a meeting at work when the driver calls. So I call J.B. Hunt back to let them know my dilemma. Zero help. They just said, well, we can see if the driver can come later but no promises. At this point, I've been so stressed over this stupid couch I wish I never ordered it. It was a complete waste of money and time. The only good thing is that Joybird promptly removed my order (so that I can't leave a review about my experience on their website), but they will refund me. I'm so upset I'm shaking though because I had to wait so long for something so stupid like delivery time to get in the way. If Joybird ever works with someone besides J.B. Hunt, I would consider them again. But if you work full-time and can't wait four hours for a couch to be delivered, don't buy from this company. read more

Still waiting on a shipment that should have gone out two weeks ago. Customer service is horrible !!! The worst customer service I have ever encountered. I ordered a Lewis sofa- quick ship option and pillows (1 week shipping ) it has been 3 weeks and nothing has been shipped . They stated that it was delayed but no one reached out to notify until I inquired. It is also a different person that responds each time with another BS excuse. They have no idea what good customer service is and they lie on their website as well as the individual representatives . My next step is to report them to the better business burea. I was so excited for my Rosalie Desk from Joybird, but quickly became unsatisfied with the quality of the furniture, the quality of customer service, and worst of all--dealing with JBHunt Final Mile. My desk took two months to arrive but no big deal right? We are in the middle of a pandemic. When my desk arrived it was in a small box. I found that weird. The JBHunt Final Mile delivery guys just dropped off the box and left without saying a word. Before I could get out the door to ask them where the other box was, they were gone. So I paid $100 for delivery that included set up and haul away of no was. I didn't get any of what I paid for with set up and only received half the desk. I called JBHunt Final Mile to ask customer service where the second half of the desk was. The rep was super rude and actually hung up on me when I asked if I could speak to another representative. Finally I called Joybird and they said the replacement desk would arrive in 10-14 days.... I asked to return the order and had to go through the whole process again with JBHunt Final Mile. When the JB Hunt Final Mile delivery drivers arrived to pick up the portion of the desk, they didn't call in advance. In fact the driver said on the bill of landing not to call me. WHAT?!? Then I spoke with Joybird and their terrible customer service informed me my money would be returned in 14 days... possibly by direct deposit or a physical check. Did I mention the part of the desk I received looked terrible? Long story short, Joybird sucks. Go buy furniture from ANYWHERE else.. Like ANYWHERE! read more

Extremely upsetting. My husband and I purchased the Willams Media Console and the Dakota Entry Table on Feb 18, 2019. We still have yet to receive either items. We were completely fine with the estimation of the 8 week delivery period, however, its now going on 13 weeks and we still do not have a product. We are being told that they are behind on production and that we may not receive the items until June 24th, but still no guarantee. This has been such an inconveniance as we are missing major pieces of furniture in our apartment, making it unpleasant to live in our space and a challenge to have guests over. Joybird should not be accepting any new orders for these items until the can fulfill customers who have already paid for and purchased the product. The website should at least state that the items are on back order and/or state more than an 8 week delivery period. We have paid in full for these items and have 0 product to show for it. We were considering buying a couch from them and other items and now are extremely hesitant to order anything ever again. I have relatives who are now no longer interested in purchasing because of the terrible experience we have had. I wish Joybird would reach out to us or just deliver our product. read more

I ordered four pieces from Joybird. They tell you at the beginning that they will keep you in loop throughout the build process, but they don't. No update was ever given to me. My delivery date came and went. When I called them, it became clear to me that they hadn't even started building my couch and chair. I'm pretty sure I was reminding them about my order. They then tell me it will be five weeks later than what was originally stated. They offered to call me after delivery to credit my account but never did. My fourth piece of furniture still hasn't arrived! They say it will come the week I'm on vacation. That's great... When I emailed them about how disappointed I was in their customer service, because you literally can't find a negative review on this company ANYWHERE, they offered me complimentary pillows. The cheapest thing you can find on their website. I spent thousands with them. Bottom line, if you want your furniture in a timely fashion and you want to be notified should anything go wrong with your order - DON'T ORDER FROM JOYBIRD! read more

We were told the furniture we ordered was in stock and would ship in a couple of weeks so we didn't mind paying up front like they require unlike any other furniture company. More like MONTHS. The customer service eventually admitted to us that the website says in stock despite not being in stock all the time. And, when we asked for a refund shortly into this process given that they lied to us about them being in stock, they told us their system didn't work that way and we have to wait until we receive the furniture to start the process of a refund. Also if they say they will look into something and get back to you, they will never get back to you. I was told this so many times despite a complete lack of follow up. Further, contacting their customer service requires a lot of time given their long hold times and inconvenient schedule. The delivery teams they use are subpar. They lost our bed... and then after rescheduling its delivery for us days later they just did not show up and never contacted us. So waited around all day to see if it would come. It didn't. It is also literally impossible to get in touch with the delivery team as they don't pick up their phone and it goes to a full mail box. We ended up getting 2 of the 3 pieces of furniture we ordered after painful months of contacting them over and over for any information at all. The sofa and table are fine - I would return them truthfully given the quality is lacking for the price paid but I cannot imagine how painful that process would be with Joybird so I will just keep the furniture that actually made it here. The piece that was lost was a bed. Finally they agreed to just give us a refund months after the supposed in stock delivery date. Still waiting on this refund- been more than 10 days. If we get the refund, I guess we are lucky as we can shop else where and not have to sleep on a piece of joybird furniture. read more

I ordered two beds from Joybird and it's been a horrible experience. They arrived damaged and dirty because the delivery company Joybird uses unboxed all of my furniture and had it tossed in the back of a moving truck and it was pouring down raining when delivered. I reached out to Joybird to share the issue and waited three days for a response of we can have someone come to fix it and clean it. So I had to take off work again to have one of the brand new beds cleaned and fixed all while I did not have a bed for months. The other bed was severely damaged so I had to take off work to have them come back to pick it up and refund me. This has been going on for months and today they actually offered me a gift card for my hassle as if I'm ever shopping here again. Also they blocked my reviews on their site. Please not that five years ago I bought another bed, couch, and ottomans from Joybird and they had better products, a great delivery company, and customer support that I raved about so much that tiger family members bought furniture from them.
