When I walked in the door I had so much stuff in my hand and she helped me take my shoes off and fix my socks. She has a sweet mother like personality that I instantly fell in love with. Update: I really liked Joyce but unfortunately after only 2.5 weeks my hair was showing through terribly. She was nice enough to fix it but it started to do it again within 2 weeks. I don't think I'll return to Joyce. I just took my braids out and my hair is badly damaged. I got individual braids and I didn't realize that she glued the braids at the ends so that the didn't unravel. I've never had this done. Before I got it braided it was long and thick, now I'll have to cut it and try and get it healthy again. Extremely disappointed. read more

Unprofessional. This woman portrays herself to be Christian, but I fail to see christ operating in her business. This woman word means nothing to me. I called her Saturday and she said she would call me back later that evening to set time for Sunday. Saturday 10:30pm, still no call. I called her, she then said she would call Sunday by 9am. Once again, no call. I called her again and her attitude was that she has been busy and she can call me Monday. Shame on me because this is not the first time this woman has done this to me. I'm a professional and I made decisions based off your word. Where is your integrity and professionalism (in your basement)? I could have made other arrangements by seeking someone else. I took time off work and cancelled more important plans, based on your word. The pictures are of her work done last month. Clearly she had too much going on. She left in the middle of working my hair to run an errand, plus trying to talk on the phone and also work on another clients hair (who by the way the other client was there getting her braids re-done because they were coming out). I believe in 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances, which is why I made the decision to try her again. Finally, beware. She uses the same nasty comb in everyone's hair. She even kept a positive attitude when Instated I didn't want to hold the hair and hand it to her because I use my hair time as time to complete my work. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because my back and neck hurt after being required to slide down in a chair and sit with my butt hanging off the seat for over an hour. Hair looks great that is just to long to sit in an awkward position. It's two days later and my back is still hurt.
