Tara has been doing my hair for about ten years. In that span of time, I've only strayed a handful of times. Now that I live across the country, it's a bit harder to make it in for an appointment with any sort of regularity. That said, Tara is extremely flexible with her availability and appointments, so I'm able to get an appointment with her with little hassle. Despite only being in every 4-6 months, Tara still remembers details of our last conversations and cares about me as a person. In ten-ish years, Tara has cut, colored, and highlighted my hair. She also waxes my eyebrows better than anyone who's ever done them. Her passion and love of her craft are extremely obvious and her attention to detail and determination to give the client what they want is unparalleled. If you're looking for the best hairstylist in shorewood Caitlin Shrouba is your girl! I found her through a mutual friend and now I won't get my hair done by anyone else! I recommend her to everyone. She is so talented with color and knows her craft. She's extremely personable and I just love her. I've attached pictures of my best friend's hair she's done recently. Awesome! I followed my hairdresser, Beth, who migrated to this brand new salon this month. Let me tell you, I am extremely glad I did! Not only I am getting the very BEST colorist, as I always have, but now the surroundings are just as awesome as she is!!! The salon is super chic, extremely clean, nice TV's while the color is working and has a great location. I have a new stylist, she works here, her name is Ryan and she is amazing. She fixed what the salon manager at ulta cosmetics fucked up. The pictures just don't do justice to the miracle she performed. The style was suppose to be pink and purple under lights and as you can see in the first picture it is not. The second picture doesn't do justice to the wonderful amazing job that was done and the colors aren't showing up with the lighting. read more

This review is for Bo Klaric Hairstyle before: Blonde mullet (curly hair) with a jet black cap Hairstyle after: stacked bob, blonde, with a touch of rose gold I am a model by trade. Two weeks ago I posed for an avant-garde shoot which resulted in a difficult hair style for day-to-day wear. I drove 1.5 hours out of the city to visit Bo (a stylist recommended to me) in hopes of making this hairstyle more wearable. She listened carefully to what I was hoping to achieve and she took the cutting and coloring process one step at a time, consistently asking me how I felt about the look as it progressed. I really appreciated this but was not surprised by her expertise seeing as she has been cutting and coloring (also a color educator) for many years now. Beyond this, Bo is a very friendly and sweet soul. She is hospitable and thoughtful. I walked out of Salon Haiku with a styled, chic short hair cut. She was able to remove all of the black out of my hair too which I was incredibly thankful for. I feel so much better and am happy to recommend this stylist! read more

The only time Salon Haiku answered their phone I asked if anyone there was good with blonde hair color since it apparently is problematic. I was told by Brooke that she was, discussed ahead of time my daughter's previous hair color that she wanted changed, then brought her in person to show her and confirm that she could competently change the color from brunette back to a lighter blonde. The appointment resulted in a calico effect of patches of blonde, brown, and orange, and she actually charged her for this and let her leave without correcting the disaster. The salon has not answered their phone ever since nor responded to a voicemail. If I could post negative stars I would! Unbelievable a license to operate was issued to someone so lacking in skills. read more

My hair stylist, Caitlin Shroba, recently moved to Salon Haiku. I have been going to her for over two years religiously now and she never ceases to amaze me. For a guys haircut I didn't think there were many options, but she always has suggestions of new and trending hair styles that never disappoint. Not once have I went home and thought "oh she missed a spot", or "this is uneven". (Which has happened on numerous occasions at other salons). She is also the only stylist I have found to do an exceptional beard trim! I've always felt like I have been treated with a five star service from Caitlin, and this new salon really adds to it.
