You can choose to get married indoors or outdoors. Ida, the Event Planner, was very welcoming, very attentive, very available when needed and very professional. Ida, provided Outstanding customer service and I would definitely choose her to plan my Wedding. The Bride, Groom and their Wedding party have two separate dressing rooms so everyone can get dress once you arrive at the location. Overall, I was pleasantly pleased with this Venue and would recommend it to my family and friends. It was the beautiful venue for me.

My wedding at The Atrium/Flint Hill had two different stories: The wedding day was fantastic, but…read morethe planning was a nightmare. I suspect the positive reviews reflect the former. I will share advice that I wish I had received before making a 50% deposit. My rating is based on the planning. The day of would get 4 stars. - We were glad we had an outside wedding planner to be our ally. If you've never planned an event like this, you might not realize that you can easily be taken advantage of. - They provide a lot of staff on the day of the event, but some of them were people we had never met. We had an eight-minute call with our "Day of Reception Director" the week before the wedding. She is a part-time (weekends) employee who doesn't even have a company email address. - We were dazzled by Melissa's sales pitch. She spent 2 hours with us when we came in for a tour and it was great. We thought she would be a great ally in this process. She was super friendly and helpful through the contract process until we paid 50%. - We needed to read every version of the updated invoice to catch price changes. The price of our dessert was $9 until one day it was $9.50. They charged us $150 for early arrival with a $150 credit to cancel it out. One day that credit had changed from $150 to $2. Laura from the design studio "accidentally" increased the price of some tablecloths by $5 each. - Their contracts sometimes expire after two days, and they said we needed to sign before getting answers to our questions. This happened with 2 contract addendums. We asked questions. Melissa said "Any specific detail changes to this contract will be handled in the extended planning sessions." - They marginalized me while behaving towards my husband. We had a recurrent problem where I would send an email, no response, husband reminds them, and they respond quickly. One time they ignored my email for five days. When he replied to my note, they responded to him within the hour. I don't know if it's because he's a man, he makes more money than I do, or they simply didn't like me. - If we didn't get it in writing, they often denied it. There are numerous topics that I am certain we discussed verbally but unfortunately I didn't have it in writing. With the issue mentioned above, they insisted we never discussed it, and they only agreed to do it because we found written confirmation. - We needed to spend at least $2,000 at their design studio, but we didn't have any trouble exceeding the minimum. We had very minimal design requirements, brought in an outside florist for the bouquets, and our initial quote was over $1,900, not counting the $700 tablecloth rental. - Menu changes come with an upcharge. You only get to put out one salad dressing. If you want your guests to have a choice, there is an $0.50 per person. Mashed potatoes come with no toppings. Want to add something as simple as sour cream or chives? One dollar per person for each topping. - We paid more than 80% of the adult rate for children aged 4-9. Children starting at age 10 are charged full price. The menu says "reduced rate" for children, but the aren't mentioned until much later in the process. They get a 20% discount on the base price for the buffet, but they are full price for drinks, dessert, and add-ons. I don't know if they would also be charged 100% for drink packages with alcohol. - We had to convince them to let us have a menu tasting. They offered us a "tasting box" with six items from another event's menu but only one or two from our menu. None of these options had our main dishes included. They said the point of a tasting box is to understand the quality of the food, not our specific menu. I want to thank Kristin, the CEO, for her help. Two months before our wedding, she allowed us to switch from the Atrium to Flint Hill (for a cost of $3,500) The change in venue couldn't fix corporate policies and staff difficulties though. Atrium specific advice: - You will probably want to get ready offsite. The bridal suite is very small. There were 4 of us getting ready, and the room would have been too small. The groom's room is more like a walk-in closet than a room. These rooms are both upstairs with no bathroom. If anyone in your party is unable to get up the staircase, they will be getting ready in the public bathroom on the main floor. - If the bride and groom want to have some quiet time after the ceremony, it will be in the bridal room with no bathroom. Want to wash your hands or touch up your makeup? You need to go downstairs to the bathroom that the guests are all using. - You need a wifi backup plan. We were told that the wifi there is "spotty". When I asked why, they said "because this used to be a bank." I don't know how that is relevant because I have visited many banks that have adequate wifi. I can honestly say that planning this wedding was one of the worst experiences of my life. Good luck, future brides and grooms.

This is a mixed review. They were very pleasant when we were setting up and making our wedding…read moreplans but things changed after our event. Amynah The manager was very accommodating and nice and easy to work with but we found ourselves held to ransom with our $1000 cash security deposit when the event was over. The found a way to hold back $375 out of our Cash deposit on grounds that we went over our allotted time EVEN though it was their own recommended Event Decorator that stayed over. We were assured that they've worked with her (and she's quite good too) and we only needed to worry about our own vendors. QUOTE..'We've known her so long that she can even come next day to pick up all her stuff". So why would I have to lose $375 because the decorator who's more like an in-house partner stayed past 2AM to pull down her decorations? We were also charged extra money for staying past our agreed 2AM BECAUSE we and our guests stayed OUTSIDE the venue yo fix a broken down car belonging to a wedding guest. That's why they insist on you paying a $1000 Cash Deposit knowing they'll find a way to hold back some, if not all. After a great wedding, I'll say that The Blue Event Center left a sour taste in our mouths. I will recommended The Blue Event Center if you're willing to lose some money after your event, because they will find a reason to keep your $1000 or part of it. We were even accused of playing soccer inside a banquet hall !! Talk of 'Contract Clauses'. Our sour taste will take a while to disappear. I don't often give bad reviews because businesses have a living to make but I'll 4 stars for Cooperation and accommodation, pre-event, but 1 star for the aftermath. This isn't done spitefully but with a sense of purpose and truth.

Cut rehearsal short, refused to do certain things and then delayed the wedding and elongated the process by not having enough staff to help with the transition from ceremony to reception. I don't even know where to begin! As I started researching and visiting venues I found myself…read morestarting to feel overwhelmed with options, requirements/rules, pricing, and what seemed like an ever increasing budget. Honestly, I had never heard of Vecoma, but kept running across it on sites. At the time their website wasn't as developed as now so I wasn't quite sure. I had narrowed down and visited 5 other venues, had huge packets of info that made my head spin, and just felt like maybe I should elope when I sent an inquiry to Vecoma. Caroline instantly responded with a general quote (WOW!! maybe I COULD do this) and invited me for a visit. They have open houses on Saturday mornings, and I highly recommend that you go because if you have visited any other venue you will instantly see the differences. There is no pressure, you aren't locked into a time frame, you are free to walk the grounds, look at previous wedding books, talk to staff, all so low key and no stress! You can price out items, look at menus, and simply be relaxed. Not only is the venue stunning and has multiple options in terms of ceremony and reception, what truly make the venue is the staff. On my Saturday tour, it was the staff that helped me solidify my choice in less than 30 minutes, something I had agonized over for months! In terms of pricing - you can make any budget work here! It is clear cut, nothing hidden, easily explained, you know up front what you are dealing with and if you want to add or change things they are completely fluid. They have payment plans that are easy, manageable, and take a huge stress away! They have incredible menu choices with customization and multiple bar options, all with the best pricing and I guarantee you will not find better full bar pricing anywhere in Atlanta! I purchased a full bar and they even included 2 complimentary passed hors d'ourves. The other thing you will find is that they do not nickel and dime you to death, there is no charge for turning on the twinkle lights, you can use their mirrors, votives, fishbowls, wood centerpieces and anything else that is considered a "house item" FREE of charge. They give you the freedom to express yourself in decorations, you can use your own vendors, friends for setup, and you get to bring your own cakes with NO cutting fee! I had 4 cakes and 5 pies, 9 total and NO EXTRA CHARGE. They even provided the cutting utensils and sliced and served! It is the little things here, the level of personal service, the relaxed atmosphere, the freedom to be yourself that make it truly stand apart. The other thing is you don't have just ONE person who helps you. There is literally an army! Caroline is simply Wonderwoman and from managing the venue to being the best photographer and is so down to earth, she will make all worries disappear! Caitlin, Judith, Cathy, all answered tons of questions, quickly responded to emails, and made being a bride EASY. On the day of we didn't realize ALL of the staff come together to help you set up, put out decorations, find a bandaid, help with wardrobe malfunctions, I was amazed! The food was simply incredible! We didn't make it to a tasting, but I trusted reviews and it was impeccable, best chefs, and people are still commenting on it, including the most picky eaters. I had everything from true southerners who must have their pork and potatoes, to friends that were vegan and halaal and all were happy. DJ/photography - they have both in-house if you choose and the prices can't be beat! Caroline's pics you can see online and DJ Kirk makes it a breeze and you can pick all of your own songs or he will help if needed. All included in your invoicing! Because we had saved so much money we even opted to do videography through DJ Kirk as well. Other things - We worried about the fickle November weather, the staff were reassuring that we could change as needed. We were able to do on the deck and had heaters in case, then inside for the reception. The bridal party was running late, not a problem, Caroline started pictures with the boys to give the girls time to catch up! They make sure you eat and have your food already waiting for you while you tend to all the people and excitement. They don't rush you out at the end, we had time to say goodbye, pack up, etc. Check them out, you will be amazed, it will be perfect, your guests will be in awe, and your wallet will thank you!

The service was exceptional and we had such a blast with our family and friends. It was such a special and magical day I'll never forget. Everything from the ceremony , to the reception and our send off was amazing. We loved working with them both on our special day. We can't thank you enough. I highly recommend Vecoma at the yellow river if you are engaged and looking for a venue.
