Everything is typically normally priced and the store is always well organized. My favorite part of the Michael's stores are the events they hold, recently attended their Party Live Event which had cookie decorating, a balloon tower building demonstration and a scavenger hunt which ended with a raffle! They also had the Chili Peppers mascot which was really nice to see. The staff is always so friendly and helpful when answering questions. Overall a nice craft store with even nicer employees.

I did self checkout, had a couple voucher (enough to pay for my one item), checked out and clicked emailed receipt. I walked out I was getting started down and said "thank you." They didn't say a single word until I was then followed out to my car saying "umm ma'am can I see your receipt?" I said "yeah sure it's in my email." She then went "oh.." I then told her that she could have a little customer service and say "bye" to people as they leave. I WILL NOT be returning back to this Michael's at all. How sad is it that I spend enough there to cover it in vouchers then get accused of stealing. Below is the receipt with the time stamp of what time they accused me of stealing.

Getting the venue and communication with the venue is the biggest part of planning your big day and…read moreyou would think that they would make it as stress free as could be. My experience with the Ward Center was anything but, stress-free. It was an unhappy and disheartening experience to say the least. I booked with the Ward Center two years prior to my wedding. The communication in the beginning was good. Then, it fell off. We wanted to schedule a walk through and invite our other vendors to see the Ward Center, so that we could plan out our day. Noelle would not accommodate any of my wishes with trying to make it happen on a day that would meet everyone needs. So, it ended up just being my fiancé and I at our final walk through. At this walk through, two months prior to our wedding, the staff informed us of additional hidden fees totaling to $800+, TWO MONTHS BEFORE THE WEDDING. Noelle was not at this meeting so, I reached out to her after this meeting to share my concerns and she stopped answering my emails and my coordinators emails for a month! I even sent emails with a read receipt and she would read them and intentionally not respond. We were stressed out trying to get answers for a month. I sent an email on June 4th, June 8th, June 15th, June 16th, June 20th, June 26th, and June 28th.. ALL of these emails went unanswered from Noelle. We did not talk to Noelle again until my mother in law called as a "potential client" and Noelle answered and told her to come to the venue for Fridays for the Arts. We went to see Noelle in person at a Friday night for the arts event om July 13th to finally get some answers. We ended up having to come out of pocket for the $800+ in hidden fees that were not mentioned on our contract. Our wedding day was smooth sailing, thanks to Tammy and Karen, but as a Bride, I would not recommend this venue to anyone. They nickel and dimed us for everything. For potential clients, I would advise getting everything in writing, because they are constantly changing prices and policies. One staff member will tell you one thing and then, another will tell you something completely different, so to be on the safe side write everything down. They were unprofessional and poor at communicating everything to us. Noelle asked me to remove my "cruel postings online," but it is my right to share my story with brides like myself.

It is loaded with charm and boasts the perfect mix of laid back cool that my husband and I were searching for. Noelle, their event planner was there for us through every question and concern we had leading up to our big day. We enjoyed that we could incorporate the backdrop of a chic art gallery and still be within our budget to accommodate all of our family and friends. Leading up to the big day The Ward was able to set up our venue before we arrived which saved us valuable time the day of, and allowed us time to enjoy with our loved ones. We held both our wedding ceremony and reception at The Ward and were more than pleased to say that we had the time of our lives! Our guests also enjoyed the venues uniqueness and original beauty. We feel that we couldn't have chosen a better place to promise our lives to one another. If you are into the arts and are looking for the perfect way to express your trendy, or modern/elegant style please chose The Ward Center for Contemporary Arts! You will not regret it! We bought a house one year ago and went to Gary for paint. Not only did he give us fantastic deals, but he offered advice and recommendations that helped us pick out proper brushes and rollers, kept our paint mixed well, and generally made the whole project easier. Gary even recommended hired help and tradespeople for other projects we were tackling such as installing a wood floor. These people all were top notch professionals who were invaluable. Even now we still go back to Gary for framing services, where he continues to excel. We needed some glass repaired and Gary was able to replace it while keeping the hanging wire at the exact same position it was before! We didn't need to move the hook at all! We'll be going back to Gary for our upcoming roof replacement because we trust him to do things right and always be honest with us. You can't do better than Laine's!
