Cute coffee shop with a variety of drink options from tea, Vietnamese coffee, and slush blended drinks. Located next to Jersey Mikes and Dollar Bank. The parking lot is a decent size and I've never had issues finding a spot. JoyU also sells pastries/desserts that look great but I have yet to try them. The display case makes it very tempting though! They also have numerous topping options for drinks such as popping boba, brown sugar pearls, coffee jelly, and some fruit I believe. I have stopped in multiple times since they opened in mid December and each time I come staff has been friendly and the dining area is clean. There is also a bathroom available to customers. Some of my favorite drinks are the Crème Brûlée latte (hot or cold) and the Taro Cloudy Cafe Latte. I recently tried their sister business Alohahola which is connected next door. The poke bowl I ordered was packed to the brim and was delicious!

I tried the Pistachio cake for the first time ! The cake was soft, fluffy, and light. I also enjoyed the Ube cloudfoam with bobbas and mango dragon tea. Both were delicious and refreshing. The staff is amazingly friendly. I love their vibe. Happy and joyful. The music is so good! Laufey calm is how I'd describe it. Great place to gather!

Our daughter suggested trying this new Tea and Coffee place that was opening near our house. It was their grand opening and they had some goodies for their customers. We got there 30 mins before their opening and a line was already in place. Nobody was talking so everyone must have held off getting coffee that morning. When they finally opened the staff was Super friendly and patient explaining the different options and what pairings went well with what teas and coffees. Our order taker was KHOA and he was very polite and patient with us. He had a genuine smile and definitely was interested in making sure we got something we were truly going to enjoy. The staff was working full speed and pumping out orders very efficiently. I got the Strawberry lemon tea with lychee toppings. It was delicious and full of flavor. I really liked how clean and uncluttered it felt. Some business feel like they have to have something on every inch of the wall, but not Joyu. It was a very calm ambiance to stay and hang out. We didn't but will definitely be back. We were very impressed and will definitely be back very soon.

This place has a really cool vibe, but the food was just ok. I didn't try the tea or coffee and so maybe that's where they shine. I had one of their sandwiches and the marinade for the meat wasn't my favorite. Though thinking that could just be my personal taste buds. The dessert was cool. Tasted pretty good and was super cute.

The place was super trendy and generally semi clean. The food took a while to come out and they initially burned my bánh mi. Taro cloud latte: 9/10 A very delicious drink but it's harder to drink with the sweets sine it's already sweet. You can add toppings and I added flan. A lot was given in and I was happily surprised. Cookies and cream latte: 7/10 It was tasty and average. Again I was happily surprised about the toppings. Almonetta croffle: 8/10 Delicious!! It basically was Nutella, bananas, and almonds. The dough tasted kinda undercooked though Macha and strawberry croffle: 7/10 Pretty good but was average Bánh mi Dac biet: 5/10 It didn't have as much meat in it and I never thought I would say this but the bread was too light without a chew to it. Blueberry cheesecake: 10/10 Amazing and I would get again. The flavor was premium and perfect amount of sweetness. Overall good food but the service was slow and not the most friendly.

I went for the drop in Yelp event. I was greeted warmly and then took a look at the menu while the cashier looked for my name. The place was clean and quiet. It also looks like they have a 2nd seating area which is a nice touch if you were enjoying your treats in their establishment. I ordered the Almond Brown Sugar latte and the cookies and cream croffle. I also ordered the ricotta pistachio cake, a crookie and the almond croissant. I asked that the cookie and almond croissant not be warmed up as I was not going to be eating them right away. I did ask if they had decaf coffee or espresso and they did not. For someone who is caffeine sensitive or not a coffee drinker, your options are limited to the teas and smoothies. When I got home, I discovered the crookie was raw cookie dough on top of the croissant and in the middle. The cashier could have offered baking instructions since I did not have them bake it while I was there. The almond croissant was tasty but needed more filling (IMO). I have yet to try the coffee. I smelled burnt when I got it in the car which is partially the reason why I haven't tried it yet. However, I will reserve judgment. The croffle was OK but didn't really have flavor. There is a popsicle stick in the middle so be careful biting into it. This location was very far from me because I'm in Hampton. I may give their local location a try. My suggestion for all of the locations: invest in decaf coffee or espresso. There are more of us out there than you think!

I swung by Joyo on South Battlefield for an afternoon snack while out running some errands. They share a parking lot with several other businesses, and it can be a bit tight if you have a larger vehicle and it is during prime mealtimes (Lunch/dinner), off hours there seems to be ample parking. The staff are sweet and friendly. I got one of the peach treats cakes and a caramel macchiato. The peach treat was yummy, and the caramel macchiato is the best I have had. If in south Chesapeake nearby stop on in, you won't be disappointed.

This is is super cute! Their food is delicious! They have both sweet and savory options! Service was great! Allowed me to talk my head off asking about the different flavor options they had for coffee. I am currently enjoying my hot taro cloudy cafe latte while watching the "snow." Lol I got a whole latte love for this place!

Congrats JoYu Chesapeake on your Grand Opening this morning. There was a big turnout due to the first 50 customers getting a free Tumblr and in the first five hours you purchased a drink you received a card for your next five drinks to be free. It took about an hour to get through the line because I got there right when they opened the door. Joy you Chesapeake was a packed house, but the line move quickly. The owner was really nice and all hands were on deck to get everybody's orders in a timely manner. No complaints here because everyone was so happy and patiently waiting for their turn. When it was my turn, I ordered a honeydew milktea with light sugar and light ice. I did the regular size today, but you can always choose a larger size for only $1 dollar more. Now, it's just a tradition for me to get the Green Zen Strawberry Croffle when I come to JoYu. This particular croffle is just so buttery, crispy and the Matcha really complements it as well as the strawberries. It's just a must to get now when coming to JoYu Tea and Coffee. Congrats again JoYu Chesapeake on your Official Grand Opening. You had a great turnout and it seemed to be a great success. Thank you for having this event. I can't wait to try more drinks off the menu in future visits to come.

I love this little coffee place! The treats are so cute, I bought them for my son's teachers as a little midweek pick me up. The drinks are amazing as well!

I wish I could give today a 5 star but it really didn't rate it with my recent visit. The service was ok, not how they were the last time I came in. They also no longer serve the donuts that they originally had available which is what my husband wanted. Alas, my littles all picked a drink to enjoy and they all did just that. The drinks were good, the Ube Milk Drink was rated 8/10. The mango storm 9/10. Caramel Cococream with strawberry jelly was rated a 10/10. Place was clean and quiet, not busy.

I know it's probably best to separate these reviews but I had to combine them because these are literally two of my favorite spots and now they're side by side and connected! I was so happy when I found out. Living in Chesapeake and working in Virginia Beach this makes it so much more convenient to grab both in one trip. The coconut chicken used to be my go-to back in the day but lately I've been getting the coconut shrimp and it's still just as amazing. So flavorful and always hits the spot. As for Joyyu my favorite drink is the Avocado Joyyu. There's just something about the condensed milk and avocado combo that I absolutely love lol. It's smooth, sweet and super satisfying every time. My only complaint about Joyyu is the oven they have on the counter near the front of the store it's loud! Every time it finishes cooking it's so noisy it has my ears ringing. Other than that I'm always happy to stop by.

Everything I've had here is delicious, but here are some of my favorites: UBE BLONDIES *** Probably one of their most signature items that stays on the menu season to season, this crumbly, satisfyingly dense, soft baked good with that nice punch of ube flavor will really have you coming back for more. The frosting glaze is just perfect, adding that sweetness that carries the ube flavor really nicely. The texture is just soooo satisfying, you can just tell when you cut your fork through it that it has this airy, yet dense and crumbly texture. TURON FRITTER Kind of like an apple fritter, but oh so crumbly, delicious, bright, and soft on the inside. Also had their brown sugar boba pudding cup when it came out, and it was really good; the tapioca actually blended quite nicely and was chewy and fresh, which means you're not stuck chewing it forever. Definitely on the sweeter side, but brown sugar items tend to be that way.
