Came here 10 am on a Saturday. It was packed. I only ordered this and it took 30 minutes. Which I can wait for and understand but I expect it to be delicious. There is a lot of competition for bagels nearby so I had high expectations. I LOVE cinnamon raisin and this one just really didn't hit the spot. It didn't have that sweetness I was looking for. I easily placed an online order with JP's Bagel Express the other day. In addition to the 1.5 dozen bagels I got for a family function, which everyone loved I might add, I ordered myself a breakfast sandwich. I had asked for my Whole Wheat Bagel scooped, which provided more room for the sandwich ingredients. I was in awe of how soft the bagel was, even with its hollowed out insides. Between the bread were thick slices of fresh avocado, ripe tomato, sprinkled black pepper, and roasted red peppers with cloves of garlic. Each bite was pure heaven. I have to agree with some of the recent reviews. I ordered 2 pork roll egg and cheese wraps and the wrap was a little stale and there was nothing to it. Tasted like mostly stale bread. Maybe there was an egg and a slice of pork roll. Got charged 6.99 for bread basically. read more

Owner was so rude his daughter apologized on behalf of him. He was upset with me over the order not being made right? Sounds kinda backwards since his staff was the one who messed up the order, taking them 3x to correct it but he chose to be upset with me because I had to ask for modifications due to allergies. Best bagels in Hoboken PERIOD. A case could be made for O'Bagel but JP's ends up on top every time for me. They bake everything fresh in house daily and they've got every breakfast sandwich you could imagine. Egg sandwiches, Bagel with Lox, Whitefish Salad, all types of spreads, I've had it all from JP's! The employees couldn't be nicer in what looks to be a hectic kitchen that is always super busy. They all make it look easy with a smile on their face. Keep up the great work guys. Quality bagel spot, delivers. I thought the texture of these bagels were great. They were very airy and chewy but full of flavor. I find sometimes bagels are really dense or hard which is just no good. I also saw many different types of bagels that I haven't seen before and would like to try. I did get the everything bagel which I like to use as a measurement to how good a bagel spot is, there definitely could've been more everything mix on the bagel, but again, still very delicious. Great spot to just grab something and go close to the PATH. Couple things though.. Everything bagels are barely everything. Theres oats on it which is strange and everything just falls off in the bag and becomes a plain bagel. I also LOVE scallion cream cheese but theirs is just cream cheese with chopped crunchy scallions in it from the stalk, not tasty. On TOP of that, they barely smear cream cheese on the bagel. Service here is absolute chaos. Might be the worst I've experienced anywhere ever! Impossible to order, pay, and pickup without being constantly jostled on all sides in their sardine can storefront -- A horrific customer experience. Avoid at all costs if you have claustrophobia or anxiety. Staff is not friendly either... Steer clear on weekends if you don't want to wait an hour+ for a bagel. The food itself is not even worth the insane wait times. Spreads are applied carelessly and hot sandwiches have a comical amount of meat on them. Spend your money elsewhere and spare yourself the headache :( read more

JPs is my top 1 bagel spot in Hoboken. It's a bit far from me, but it's worth the extra trek because it's that good. In terms of the bagels themselves, JPs is probably the best in the city (#2 at worst). But the way they make sandwiches is better than anyone in Hoboken. Also I haven't found another spot in town with Egg Everything bagels. The flats are outstanding too. The breakfast sandwiches hit the spot every time. And I personally love getting lunch sandwiches on bagels, and no place does it better than JPs. They load up the bagels with everything I want. Great spot. Worth the walk, worth the wait, worth the price. read more

Food is great. Two stars for poor customer service and attitude from man in charge of expediting. I ordered 1 bagel at 10:48 exactly. I literally work down the block about 3 stores away IN A RESTAURANT. I order every weekend so I completely understand how busy they are. I never complain. I returned exactly 3 times after receiving a 35 minute wait time ( ordered online ). Unfortunately I had to work at 12pm. I returned at 11:15, 11:30 and 11:45. It still was not ready. Finally after clocking in, I was able to get a quick break to run and pick it up. Not only does the man tell me he threw away my bagel but then continues to argue with me after I explained that I had already returned 3 times. My coworker ordered at 11:45. The final time I returned to pick up all three bagels. Their two bagels were ready while mine was thrown out. Instead of comping my bagel and remaking it . He tells me to pay for it and he would deliver it very rudely. You just lost a customer for a $6 bagel for your rudeness and horrible customer service. Sucks when you work in the restaurant industry and are one of the most understanding customers, we always get the short end of the stick. We will no longer be ordering from here. read more

Best bagels in Jersey City/Hoboken area (and much of NJ and NYC as well, imo). The bagels are always fresh, fluffy, and a good size. Egg and cheese on an everything bagel is my go-to, and it never disappoints. They get very crowded so the trick is to order ahead on their website and avoid waiting around. read more

Standard deli/bagel place near the path station. They are usually super quick w service so i rarely have to wait awhile. The bagels here are big and chewy, they dont really havw the bagely crunchy "crust" that some do. Prices are reasonable and its street parking only of course read more

Little bagel shop near the PATH across from SBUX. Bagels are made on prem. There are a few tables and chairs inside and out but this is more of a to-go place. I stop in when in Hoboken and it's pretty good. Today tried a bialey since I didn't want a full bagel. The bialey was as as big as a bagel and COVERED IN POPPY SEEDS. Like covered. I walked around all day picking out poppy seeds from my teeth, I thought it was some kind of joke. I think I would technically fail a drug test now too (Seinfeld reference?). Service is super quick and the iced coffee was really good. Paid $11 for a large iced coffee and ham egg white and cheese. read more

A staple in the Hoboken community - it's packed especially in the mornings on weekdays and by noon the weekends. Rightfully so because they have a wide assortment of fresh bagels that you see immediately when you walk in. Service is quick and friendly! I normally order my go-to breakfast - Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese on a toasted everything bagel with ketchup, salt and pepper; and an iced Hazelnut coffee. I was just annoyed they didn't even cut my bagel into halves. It was a mess to cut a cream cheese heavy bagel at home. Irresponsible entity . Allowing people dressed up one week prior to Halloween with costumes to patron their entity while they are berating and aggressively harassing other customers on the line . "Would you like to be my cell mate " showing his fake police cuffs to my wife . The manager @ the register observed all this and she didn't care that these people were harassing people . Her response was they are customers like anyone else. My response to you miss is , NO they are not like everyone else because no one else is doing what they are doing in your place of business . The right thing to have done is say dress how u like but one more word to anyone on line & You won't be serviced .Or better just avoid a whole conversation and kick them out from the get-go . The bagel wasn't thoroughly toasted...just warm. While it was good, I've certainly have had better bagels. I also ordered a garden panini. The employee said that they wanted to put the dressing on the side, since they felt it would get soggy. If they dont know how to make a panini sandwich to go, cant say that they're all that great. Unfortunately, my experience was impacted by poor customer service from the cashier. She came across as consistently unfriendly and unapproachable, which made the interaction uncomfortable.
