I'm pretty basic when it comes to my bagels so I stuck with the classic everything bagel with cream cheese. I did get my bagel slightly toasted and it was absolutely delicious! Bagel was nice. Had just a little crunch to it (how I like it) and was piled high with cream cheese. This place is underrated! Boogie Woogie is a quick bagel deli spot located in the UBS building in Lincoln Harbor, Weehawken. This area of town is lacking in quick lunch options and Boogie Woogie is there to fill the gap. TBH, I've visited a few times but never gotten bagels from this spot. I have ordered coffee, breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches. I've been pretty happy with my orders. The last thing I got was so so good-- the avocado BLT on a roll. YUM! There's no seating in the deli but the UBS atrium is a few steps away and has some lounge-y chairs. Also the staff is really pleasant and they work quickly and efficiently. I haven't come enough to be a "regular", but I've seen the cashier address other regulars and get their orders done toot-sweet. It actually makes me want to join the team (of regulars)! One day!! Before I came to this spot, I thought it would be pretty bad bc of the Yelp reviews but I think some of the reviews are pretty stale-- some complained about the location being cash only. One morning I'd gotten a sandwich and was walking out the building door (Boogie Woogie is inside an office building) and one of the staff working there ran out to stop me, apologizing that they'd given me the wrong sandwich. It was a really small error, they'd just not added a second egg that I'd requested to the sandwich. But the concern that the order wasn't completely correct, and really going out of their way to make right, was very positive and really a little surprising. With Ruths Chris and Chart House now only open for dinner - where does someone working from home get lunch around here? Enter: Boogie Woogie Bagel Boys. Questionable name, but at its heart it is a Wonder Bagels style deli where you can get bagels (duh), breakfast sandwiches, and a surprisingly decent selection of lunch sandwiches. Most surprising part for me was the pricing - most of the lunch sandwiches were around $8, a far cry from the Jack Austin $17 burger down the street. Taste was decent too - the chicken and bacon wrap I had this week packed a good amount of flavor, and not dry/bland at all. Work in this building, they just spruced up the menu so it's great to see this place revamped with new employees and help. They finally got a grill. They used to just zap everything in the microwave on a coffee filter. My biggest gripe is not taking any credit/debit cards. I understand it's a small business but they are pricey enough to have atleast a minimum. A bacon egg and cheese will run you almost $5, twice the cost in any other deli, watermelon is almost $6. Sure the name is probably the most non-ironically redicilous thing one could call a bagel shop and they only accept cash, which I'm sure, is due to the fact that they haven't don't any sort of revocation in 30 years BUT.... if you're looking for a bagel in an abandoned mall food court then this is the place for you! I saw from other reviews that the customers that tend to come and actually frequent this spot WORK in the offic building that it's in or the surrounding buildings, otherwise, why put yourself through the ordeal of parking in the lot, navigating the bleak halls, experiencing the ignorance behind the counter and the unintelligence behind the register. Bagels were whatever. Not terrible but nothing to write home about. I saw they had what looked like a lie berry bagel(?) asked the lady what kind the purple bagels were and she didn't know what I was talking about, as if they were hard to miss, then had to ask 2 different employees what it was before getting a "uhh yea, blueberry, I think" answer. The few times I've been here they have a handful of bagels to pick from and they don't know what a taylor ham egg and cheese on a bagel is (very suspect ..hmmm). When i explained them on how to make it they said they could make it all except for the actual fried egg. Bagels are average at best. They are quick and convenient. In a pinch, it it works.
