This is a small shop located in the Harborside Financial Center. They have so many options; from breakfast items to salads to sandwiches, plus they offer catering. Hudsons Grill catered fantastic combinations of breakfast muffins, bagels, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and cold deli sandwiches to keep everyone going. Wedding days start early and go on til the next morning. The women had hair & makeup and pictures and the guys "started early" before pictures. Everyone loved the food and the sandwiches were hearty. This is a regular spot I go to for work whenever I need something quick and easy. This spot is tucked away on the side of a Harborside building near the HBLR. I've only eaten here for lunch but they do have breakfast options here as well. The spot doesn't specialize in anything in particular, since you can get sandwiches, wraps, salads, quinoa bowls, and damn near anything else from the healthy to the indulgent. However, my absolute go-to is their Farmhouse Farro Bowl. The whole grains are rich and cooked well, and the accoutrement (apples, carrots, sweet potatoes) all compliment each other well, with a nice peppercorn ranch dressing. The only deterrent about this place is the fact that it can get BUSY during the lunch rush. If you go, go early, or order ahead. read more

Ok so I came here on a Wednesday at 11, and boy does this place need to get their service together! I ordered a soup and orange juice, while my coworkers ordered salads. While I was impressed at the salads the workers were making (they took a large knife and chopped up all the ingredients-- think of a paper cutter like knife), the food in general took so long to get. Whenever I'm downtown taking classes or passing by, I always visit here for their amazing sandwiches. My go to 3 Sandwich/Burgers are: H2 spicy roast beef, well it's a grilled roast beef, doesn't get better than that. I order from this place at least 3-4 times a week the quality of food is better than most places within 10 minutes of the exchange sq PATH train station. For $7-$10, you can get yourself a nice, loaded salad: your choice of 4 greens, up to 6 add-ins, and one of 15 (!) dressings. Premium ingredients like cheese, meat, or fancy veggies like brussels sprouts or portabellos are a dollar or two. A bowl of mixed greens, various veggies, goat cheese, and chicken topped with fig vinaigrette makes for a fine, filling lunch. Actually getting exactly what you've ordered is easier said than done. You might find a few ingredients substituted or missing. This is my favorite breakfast place near my job. The food is very tasty and they prepare everything really fast. I usually order on the phone when I'm 5 minutes away and by the time I get there my food is ready. They have fresh orange squeezed juice which I never leave without one. My most resent order was the turkey bacon wrap without tomatoes which only costs about $6. The ingredients are fresh. Another of my favorites is the breakfast platter which comes with home fries and bread (white or whole wheat). Also, their prices are very cheap compared to other places and based on the location of this place. The employees are very nice and attentive. Always greet you with a smile. They have lunch specials but I yet haven't tried it. My coworkers say their sandwiches are really good. Would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!!! read more

I ordered a salad. One I made myself in the sense that I customized some romaine lettuce. There is a 20% off check in offer for first time users! That's pretty awesome. The salad was large and overall a good lunch option. I used to work down on Wall St and this spot reminds me of one of those generic delis down there but just smaller. This salad and sandwich bar definitely caters to the crowd in the offices down at Exchange Place. If I worked down there I'd be definitely stoked but alas, I came just to give it a whirl. My salad was a little over $9 and was filled with a bunch of veggies and avocado and egg. Unlimited free veggies (cuces, carrots, brocolli, celery type deals) with $1.00 - $2.00 add ons including chicken, turkey, tofu, avocado, hard boiled eggs, portobello mushrooms, etc... I opted for no chicken but a few adds ons. I was disappointed in their extremely limited fat/low cal dressing selection. No bread offered. Again, it was a big salad, super filling and I was able to pick and choose what I wanted which I think this may be one of the firsts in JC but, this salad was nothing memorable. If I was in the area and needed a quick salad, most definitely I'd come back but, there are so many legendary delis in JC that it would be hard for me to go anywhere but those spots for a breaded delight. read more

Nice concept - grilled chicken breast or breaded chicken cutlet sandwiches in a number of iterations, some salads, etc., on a fairly wide choice of breads. I tried the San Francisco grilled chicken sandwich - chicken breast, avocado, roasted red peppers, mesclun lettuce and ranch dressing - on a whole wheat hero roll. Everything was fresh and delicious. They have a fairly extensive breakfast menu, as well. I tried a simple bacon, egg and cheese on a roll and it was excellent! Service was friendly and fast. Outlandish prices and questionable service. Hudson's is a product of its environment. This place knows that the food options in the area are less than adequate, so they know they can charge whatever they want and get away with it. And people still line up outside because they don't really have much choice. Especially for people who work in Harborside Plaza 5. The food here is neither great, nor is it terrible. It's adequate. Came here a few times during the lunch hour; really busy during the weekdays since it's popular with the office workers in the area. When you walk in for the first time, you might be confused with what to do or where to go since a lot of people are in the shop, but most have already ordered and are simply waiting for their food. Just walk all the way inside and order at the counter. Decent sandwiches, to be sure. It's hard to find an exceptional sandwich shop these days (I dunno why), but this Hudson's Grill is totally fine. I recommend THE GODFATHER (sopressata, salami, pepperoni, provolone, hot peppers) if you're feeling cold subs and you like Italian meats. As far as hot sandwiches go, I had the TURKEY REUBEN (grilled turkey, corned beef, swiss, sauerkraut and mustard) which was kind of bland, even for a sandwich with turkey in it. They forgot to send my food out for delivery. When I had called the first time about not receiving my food within an hour an a half, I was told that the food had not been sent out for delivery and would be sent out immediately. Beside the fact of me not wanting the food now because of the fact that it had been sitting out for an hour before it went out for delivery, the food went out for delivery. Upon calling the second time, wondering where my food was (now just under two hours has passed), the "manager" I had spoken to, argued that it was not "their" fault, and must have been a mishap of the kitchen. Again, trying to convince me that the food came out of the kitchen late, even though her coworker of the first call had told me the food had been sitting there. Just now receiving my food..... the "hot" sandwich is now not hot, damp and soggy.... the "iced" coffee has more sediment on the bottom than the coffee is brown. I live 4 blocks up the street from the restaurant..... my fault for not walking I guess. Definitely not ordering from there again... Edit: the sandwich is also missing the avacoda.... pissed me off more than this whole experience. read more
