Great happy hour, 4-7pm every day. $5 beers, $9 wine and $10 cocktails. Bartender was very friendly and attentive. Didn't live the Pinot Grigio. Beer was definitely the way to go. Would definitely recommend a trip to the bar for happy hour. read more

Not run by Sheraton -- and it shows. Stayed here for a week on business, and had breakfast at this restaurant most mornings. It's not horrible, but there are definitely some areas that need attention -- especially when it comes to hospitality and cleanliness. Staff is hit or miss. Some are friendly and helpful, others seem like they'd rather be anywhere else, especially during the morning shift. The "seat only complete parties" policy is strange -- particularly when the place is nearly empty. Not exactly the kind of flexibility you expect from a hotel restaurant. Food is fine, but overpriced (as expected in a hotel). Nothing to write home about. Definitely skip the pasta -- especially considering some of the best Italian food in the country is just across the river. My biggest issue was with cleanliness. The salt and pepper shakers on every table were grimy and gross -- the kind of thing you don't want to touch, let alone eat near. If you're going to use communal shakers, they need to be cleaned regularly. It's a basic thing, and it makes you wonder what else is being overlooked in the back of house. Bottom line: I wouldn't choose to come here unless I had to. If it weren't for the convenience during a work trip, this would've been a one-and-done visit. read more

Was in town for work and had the opportunity to dine here twice. I have to say the food was excellent both nights! The first night we dined early around 4 o'clock in the afternoon when they first opened. There was absolutely nobody there so we had the entire place to ourselves. Service was excellent food came out super fast and hot and incredibly good. I had the ravioli zucca de Manzo. It was delicious! The ravioli is stuffed with beautiful butternut squash with a beautiful light sauce and the braised short rib just melted in your mouth. The second night I had the gnocchi Del Basco. Really big serving and easily could've been split for my lunch the next day. The gnocchi is very soft and the white ones sauce complements the entire entrée. They do have a bar and you are welcome to sit at the bar for either drinks or to dine. They do have happy hour from 4 to 6 PM Monday through Thursday. The happy hour is only on their house wines. We're regulars at the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor, and traditionally visit Beneci's for the convenience on our first night. A few updates since my last review. No more draft beer, though they at least seem to be consistently carrying some Italian style bottled beer offerings. This visit that was from a Asbury Park brewery and was a decent selection. Wife gave a big thumbs up to the burger. Liked that it was plenty for dinner but still a more reasonable size than many restaurant burgers. Also points added for particularly crisp fries. I did the NYT style pizza and very much enjoyed the flavor. The crust is chewy, the middle soft and quite tasty, it didn't fold quite as well as the classic NY slice, but was still a good choice. Have also tried the pasta meatball on past visits, and if you're looking for pasta, red sauce, and a moist meatball, it's going to be there for you. read more

Looks like they were taking the last reservations at 2 then open up again at 4. I was hesitant to make the reservations but decided just to try out their lunch dining. I ordered the following... CALAMARI FRITTI -Lightly floured fried calamari, marinara CALZONE NAPOLITANA Oven baked, mozzarello, ricotta, spinach, mushrooms, fresh garlic, marinara sauce. TUSCAN GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH Tuscon bread, farmers cheese, grilled chicken breast, fresh basil pesto, sautéed mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, The calzone was disappointing . Just a huge piece of flat dough, runny sauce, could use more mushrooms and spinach. The sandwich was average. You can get that anywhere. Calamari was good as usual . Don't judge the fact that this place is connected to the Sheraton. We had a pretty good dinner at the bar on our last night here. The bruschetta can be served two different ways, we opted for the traditional, which still didn't seem super traditional. It was basically a large cheesy bread covered in tomato's, but very good. The Spicy Calabrese pizza was pretty good and had a touch of a kick. The portion was perfect to share since it was 4 large pieces. The bar service was average, lots of standing around on their phone and our cocktails were fine. They didn't have a cocktail menu but had a full bar. The old wooden bar looks good but is kind of a pain to eat over because the large edge on it. While most of our meals were across the river in the city, this was a great option for our last night since we had an early morning the next day. read more

Solid casual dining spot in Lincoln Harbor. Beneci's is an Italian restaurant located in the Sheraton Hotel right in front of the Lincoln Harbor ferry stop. I've come here many times because restaurant options in the area are a little bit limited if you don't feel like driving. I love this place! The service is reliable, and the waitstaff/bartenders are personable and welcoming. This place isn't a destination restaurant but the food/drinks are pretty good and consistent. My favorite dish is the chicken scallopini. Highly recommended if you are around the area or are staying at the Sheraton. I will continue to be a regular! read more

Great customer service, delicious food, quick service. I ordered the Bagel and Egg Sandwich and added bacon it was delicious, the bagel was soft and pillowy. My only complaint is that I wish they would have added one more strip of bacon because half the bagel sandwich didn't have bacon. My husband ordered the BOH Benedict which was great. Staying at the hotel and the restaurant is just set right for us all that are staying here. You'll get treated by Sixto and shout to him for being so happy. Say hello he will live that. We grabbed a few drinks and ordered some menu items like the Lobster Garganelle, Salmon, Margherita Pizza, Calamari and if you're allergic do not order the Fritta because it includes shrimp. What just happened? Hoboken, NJ... if you have never been here, don't bother was my first thought. THERE IS NO WHERE TO PARK! Then, just outside of town there was an Italian restaurant with a parking lot! I was like... what are the chances an Italian restaurant connected to a Sheridan is any good ...well, it was amazing... First- the inside ambience is perfect! The music selection on the radio also perfect! The service from the hostess to the waitress to the general manager was second to none! And the food , oh the food!!!! Wow! To start we had Mama's meat balls! Perfect blend of meats and marinara... just like homemade but better! The salads are enough to share... but I didn't... I ate it all. I had the Freshca and my wife had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken! -That was another nice feature where they do allow substitutions and even suggestions that you may not see on the menu, nice touch. I had special, Surf and turf... the steak was perfect and the seasoning on the shrimp was excellent! For the vegetable was broccoli, but it was cooked to perfection. For dessert, my wife had the cheesecake and I had something called TARTUFO, also a special. It was lately, coded, vanilla, and chocolate, with a thin layer of hard chocolate over the top with fresh blackberries and whip cream. Wow! To top it all off, the general manager was making himself a cappuccino, I had seen him working at the perfection, so I said to my hostess, I'll have exactly what he's been making. It was best coffee I've ever had. You could tell the Chef and the GM loved what they do.. How do I know, the look and taste of each step of the meal, the dessert, the cup of coffee, had been well thought out, AND they have PARKING!!! A whole parking lot!!! My goodness, I'm giving all 4 stars to this place! I didn't realized that it was no longer the burger and fries place lol. The person in charge of your table was amazing and so patient with us, he was very kind. I ordered a no alcoholic mojito and to me, it tasted more like lemonade but it's okay. Let's talk about the food! We ordered gnocchis and pasta with chicken breast (I forgot the name). We were served with some delicious homemade bread and butter (YUMMMM!) and the pasta... WOW!!! Made fresh, tasty, to the t!! The gnocchis were so tasty and fresh too, we asked for extra parm and devoured everything, no shame here, especially when the food is delicious! My waiter brings coffee without a spoon to stir the cream. When I asked for a spoon, she told me to wait. I waited over 15 minutes for a spoon, resulting in cold coffee. Leaving this review in real time because I am absolutely mortified by the service here. Twenty six minutes has passed since Ive touched my food and almost 35 minutes seen my server. Additionally, no other server has checked on me (if this server was on break or close to break I should've been sat elsewhere) but regardless it was a very long time since I've been checked on. This may seem irrelevant but there was an instance where I felt so ridiculously uncomfortable where I had the urge to just get up and walk out of the establishment. I've worked in plenty restaurants and if I would have seen someone not touching their food for that long, even for 5 minutes, I would've asked them if they were okay because anything could have been wrong... food could've been undercooked, there could've been a health issue..... I was there for breakfast/brunch I got french toast with sausage. Was it worth $18? Meh, I guess. But it wasn't nasty. The music was so ridiculously loud that I couldn't concentrate and it was much more noticeable the more time passed since I was checked on. The bar was closed so the only thing available was fountain drinks. Either way. I don't think I'd ever go back, not that I'm in the area often.... just do better with the service. read more

Beneci's has amazing food, good music and an easy going vibe. Pastas are pretty good and some nice apps (try Nona's meatballs). But the service was amazing!!! Our server named Iwona was very attentive, conversational and very knowledgable about the food and wine, but beyond that, she just made us feel like family and was very accommodating with our requests (and we can be a bit demanding), but we also had great conversation with her and she made us laugh. She also had an open ear to us as if we were old friends. Staff like that can lift your spirits and make you feel like a VIP guest. Highly recommend you ask for her!!! read more

This review is about the little kid manager. Little kid with freckles and curly long hair. A guy. I walk in at 1020 am on Easter Sunday and asked to order two eggs to go. Place is mobbed. But he claims sorry, closed ten mins ago at 1030. I noted that place full and food coming out regularly. It's two eggs with nothing else. He says tough we closed. I then show him clock that it's not yet 1030, it was 1020 when I entered. His response, I don't need to be shown a clock to know the time. I ask for manager. He then claims it's him. If this kid is Manager, he clearly failed school. Corporate owner needs to reevaluate who it's putting forward as face of its restaurant. In terms of rest, prices, servers and food are all good here. I ate here all week. Only issue, but a huge issue, was when little man showed up on Easter to misrun things. A waitress had to come over, put her arm around him and walk him away to the back. When the server is a more skilled manager than the kid manager, you know there's a problem. read more

FYI, Marriott Bonvoy Platinum-Titanium-Ambassadors receive a complimentary *breakfast* FYI (not a free brunch, up to $25, as of May 2022). I ordered the Benedict Sal Genaro, so good. It has Italian bread as the base, some kind of Canadian bacon or sausage (IDK), poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, sautéed mushrooms, pancetta, and garlic on top.
