We were essentially bamboozled after buying our house our realtor said that we needed to have a fence installed and they had the contractor picked out. Being a 1st time home buyer i was inexperienced to getting quotes from different contractors. Ruben came and told me that the fences were going to be straight. Understanding that straight did not mean level i explained that I wanted the fences to be level. He told me what I wanted to hear and proceeded to install the fences the way he wanted. After the installation I explained that he did not do what I asked and he just kept telling me that there was nothing else he could do. We are currently installing pavers in the back yard and I have two very uneven stretches of fence in my back yard and it looks like a terrible HACK AMATEUR JOB! The guy is wildly unprofessional and says one thing and does another. Please for the love of GOD do not use JR fencing. He's a vampire who does not care about his product. read more

BAD BUSINESS! I hired Reuben because he installed CUSTOM PVC fencing in my neighbors yard so I wanted mine to match and be the same fence. When contacting his company we spoke directly to Reuben and he said he would have the fence in 2 weeks for a price I agreed on. Weeks go by and still no fence. We called Reuben and he never answered, sent him texts and never answered. Finally, unannounced, he comes on a random day 2 months later and rings my bell, luckily I was home. He claims the fence wasn't available yet and had to wait (but never called to update me). He proceeds to tell me that it's going to be a slightly different look but the same fence (only difference would be the trimming around the top, which wasn't a big deal to me), so I agreed. They finally come with the fence (also unannounced), and put it in my yard. Then Reuben said "we will come back in a couple of weeks to install". So I'm wondering why would you bring it and leave it there? My mistake was that I should have looked at the fence before they brought it to the back but it all happened so fast. When he finally calls me the DAY BEFORE he wants to install it, I told myself to go and inspect this fence. IT WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FENCE! Nothing about it was the same as my neighbors. This fence he was trying to give me was a fence they sold in Home Depot. When he installed my neighbors fence it was all CUSTOM and was put together piece by piece! This fence he was giving me was already put together with the post (The same as how they sell it at Home Depot). It was a garbage fence and also had a huge scratch going through it from being careless when carrying it. When I confronted him about my concerns he lied and said he told me it was a different fence and I agreed to it. Why would I agree to a different fence when the reason I hired him was to have the same one as my neighbor? He called me crazy and said I don't know anything about fences. He was rude and degrading, maybe because I'm a female he tried to play me, but it didn't work. DO NOT USE HIM! there are better people out there. read more

Recently I hired Ruben and his team to complete a white vinyl fence project for me and my neighbor's house. Ruben is very experience and their way of burying metal pipe inside the post then pour concrete over it seems very promising. The fence are rock solid so far and they did an excellent job. It was time to put up a new fence. Researched and talked to a number of contractors about PVC fencing . I wasn't impressed until I talked to Ruben of JR Fencing. Clearly he was experienced and very focused on doing the best for the customer. He went into detail on what he would do to achieve the result we were looking for. When we got to pricing, we were very satisfied with his number for the job. So my wife and I agreed to go with him. When his team arrived and began the job, it was clear that they also knew what they were doing and were focused on making every detail as perfect as possible. It was done in two days, and it gave a whole new look to the property. We, and even our neighbors, were very pleased. I approach situations with a critical eye, not this time. I read another post that stated he dropped off a fence without permission ? Ruben and his crew are good guys. Just had old PVC taken out, 11 segments installed with 2 gates and all went good. His price is good vs the competition and I felt good hiring him again because I was very happy with the work they did years ago on the other side of our property. TERRIBLE!!! Reuben showed up to my house after agreeing to a set price. He took down my existing fence (I'm located on a main road) and then proceeded to tell me he needed to charge me more money. When I disagreed he packed up his truck and left our yard completely open, subject to violations, and safety hazards, because I have a pool in my yard. There was no change to the scope of service that we agreed upon, just your typical bait and switch pricing tactic, some contractors play. Reuben is a dishonest crook. read more

The most unproffessional owner i have ever dealt with. The original design was not 100% followed. Doors were hung badly with no room to adjust. No handles were provided for both doors installed. He promised to come back and make the adjustments in June, its now alost Sept. and he still hasn't showed up. Does not return phone calls, says hes coming and does not show up. I guess this is what you get when you pay in full and you trust someones word. LESSON LEARNED. Stay away folks. read more

I wish I could give five stars because of the workers but I cannot. The workers worked hard and did an overall okay job/ the fence is bellowing on one side and I pointed that out to the boss and he said the heat will expand it. My bad experience wasn't with the workers it was with their boss. He was horrible, lied to us several times, told me he was coming several days and it was very difficult for him to keep his word and show up. He told me he needed to be their with his guys "because he didn't trust them" and canceled with me on a Friday meanwhile they were here Saturday and Monday without him in sight. All he does is lie and give an attitude when you complain over something he couldn't keep his word on. I wouldn't suggest using them. Yes cheap but it comes with a price of aggravation. I wouldn't use them again. Oh also... when he was done causing all this aggravation he sat on my steps and said "Now what I need you to do for me is leave me a review on Google and handed me his phone" the nerve. read more

Out of seven or so quotes, Reuben was the only one who came prepared with a portfolio of his work, stayed for an hour to answer questions, explained exactly how he anchors the fence posts, etc. He was thorough and knowledgable. He even came back two more times to answer questions. When the fence was installed, it was not as close to the ground as I would have liked, so Reuben attached matching pvc strips to the bottom and it looks great. The quote price is exactly what was charged, even after he needed to order more strips to attach to the bottom. Very friendly and easy to contact. This is one satisfied customer. read more

Nice job with the fence, but if you need cement work done this is not the company to use! The incorrectly pitched cement resulted in pooling of rain water in the middle of the yard with no way to drain. The owner acknowledged no accountability for the error nor made any concession with price. I had to have them remove a huge section of the cement so the water could drain out. They left huge nails sticking out, a big mess to clean up, and their cement encrusted wheelbarrow for me to dispose of. read more
