During that time, I watched several people who came in after me (and who admitted they didn't have appointments) get taken back ahead of me. When I asked if someone had forgotten about me, I was told there were other appointments in front of me. I understand appointments take priority, but it doesn't make sense that walk-ins who arrived after me were still being seen before I was. At that point, I asked for my keys back. If I had been told up front that it would take two hours, I never would have waited. Giving customers unrealistic timeframes and failing to communicate is extremely frustrating and reflects poorly on customer service. Please be honest and transparent about wait times so people can make informed decisions instead of being left sitting and ignored.

Where the rubber literally meets the road!…read more I've purchased tires through a number of locations throughout the years. Tire Discounters has been my go-to tire place for several of the last years. Fair value and a great team to work with. When pricing tires, you'll find that they are very competitive but not only the cheapest. Also, I am not sure if they'll install tires purchased elsewhere. It's always best to call ahead if you need new tires. They can check stock and order if necessary and then get you on the schedule. I've always found their delivery and scheduling lead times to be very quick and efficient. I've dropped in for fixes on the fly. Sometimes, you will need to wait a few hours, so be prepared. Again, it's always best to call ahead. I've also noticed that they tend to over budget the wait times. I don't think I've ever waited as long as they originally estimated. Another bonus is the free tire refills. You're driving along - low tire pressure indicator comes across your dash - pull into the nearest Tire Discounters, and they'll fill you up and get you on your way. Would I go back? 100%. Tires aren't cheap, like any other auto maintenance. So it's probably not something you want to do. But, much like the dentist or going to work, it's something that needs to be done. Tire Discounters makes it as painless as possible. Update: Shortly after I posted this review, the Business Manager responded to my review. My Fifth Star has to really be earned. That type of attention, consideration, and appreciation of honest customer feedback is a sign of a Five Star Business in my book.

Pfefferle, was not one of those places. I pulled into the driveway to get my car serviced and it was packed. I almost left because I figured it may be awhile, but the tech assured me that it was only going to take about 30 minutes or so and with, all my traveling, I can tell you my car Is probably running on mud right now instead of oil... yikes. So, 30 minutes wasn't too horrible. I went inside and most of the chairs were full in the waiting room, but they had a tv playing horrible soap operas and a full pot of fresh coffee. I stood around for a few, and realized they had a stack of magazines that had some unusual titles. I'm an artsy type and they had, sitting on the top of the stack, "International Artist." I was pleased and parked my butt in an empty seat. The guy at the front desk was very nice and took my info. My car has lots o miles, so I told him I wanted the oil that would make it purr like a kitten again instead of an asmatic old lion. I presented a coupon to him and he nodded in acknowledgement. I sat back down and watched him greet several of the regulars by name, and that's always a good thing in my book. After awhile they came in and showed me how dirty my air filter was and I cringed... I knew this visit would entail more than an oil change because it had been a pretty long time since I'd brought my car in for service. After about 10 more minutes he came in and said my serpentine belt was bad, and I had a feeling it was so that was no shocker. Well, my 30 minutes turned to about an hour. Not a huge deal, but I think they had to order my serpentine belt from another shop. What I am bummed about is that they didn't tell me, and my boyfriend overheard them ordering it from another shop. Had they set that expectation of my wait, I would have been fine. When I was all done and ready to pay, the guy told me that my coupon wasn't valid because I used a more expensive oil. I probably looked like someone kicked my puppy because the original guy never told me that. For a high mileage oil change, fluid top off, air filter, and serpentine belt I was looking at $160. After he realized the first guy had been told about my coupon, he gave me a $10 discount. I was happy again! He also gave me a loyalty card that gives me my 6th oil change free. Bonus!! The thing I liked the most about them, is that they could tell my car had some issues while starting, and they offered some ideas and mentioned that the auto shop up the street was theirs too. I can say that I will definitely be back here, and I may even try out their auto shop. The service was great, and my car's asthma is silenced for a bit. :P

Before removing the nail, the technician did not come to me to explain what they found or ask for my approval. I would have appreciated being shown the nail and having the repair options explained before any work was done. After the service, I asked where the nail was because I wanted proof of what had been removed from my tire. I was told they didn't have it and there was nothing they could show me. That left me feeling frustrated because I had no way to verify what had been found or removed. I also felt like the focus quickly shifted to recommending that I replace all four tires. While I understand that AWD vehicles sometimes require replacing multiple tires depending on tread depth differences, I felt pressured instead of being given a clear explanation with measurements and options. I would have appreciated seeing the tread depth readings and understanding why they believed all four tires needed replacement. As a Deaf customer, I expect to be treated with the same honesty, respect, and clear communication as any other customer. Please don't talk down to Deaf customers or try to smooth things over instead of providing straightforward information. Clear explanations, transparency, and respect go a long way. I also believe one of the employees would benefit from additional training in customer service, communication, and disability awareness. Because of this experience, I decided to take my business to a local family-owned tire shop instead. They explained everything clearly, showed me what they found, answered my questions, and did an excellent job. That experience reminded me how important honest communication and customer service really are.

A friend at church fortunately had one of those portable inflation doodads, and filled the tire so I was able to head straight to Goodyear. Adam, the service manager, greeted me very cheerfully and I explained my situation, including that I couldn't just leave the car and come back due to the distance. He put me very much at ease (as you can imagine I was pretty frazzled), got my info right away and summoned a technician to take my car to the work area. I was able to relax in air conditioned comfort and even got a free cup of coffee while waiting. Before long, it was announced that the culprit was a leaking valve, which they promptly fixed. It was $25. They also checked/filled the other tires. A couple of people came in to pick up their cars while I was waiting and several phone calls came in. I noticed the high level of customer care that Adam showed to everyone he was dealing with, including me. I have a feeling this is a very high quality operation for purchase of tires as well and they also do other types of auto work. Recommended.
