We checked this place out last Saturday and I must say, they have the best crabs ever. We did go mild on the flavor but that crab, shrimp, and cajun fries was the best. I was surprise this place was not packed as good as the food is. not sure what the guy name is that cleans the tables but he was so great and helpful, we had to tip him. Tried this place for the first time last weekend- good customer service, you order your food at the counter and they bring it out to you when it's ready. Happy hour is daily from 4-7pm. There are a variety of daiquiri flavors to choose from. I ordered the seafood combo boil #2- came with 1/2 lb of crab, 1/2 lb shrimp, corn and potatoes. Everything was hot and fresh- my husband got the chicken wings and Cajun fries which are delicious also, and he enjoyed the chicken- hot and juicy in the inside, crispy on the outside- you can also choose from a variety of wing flavors, we will def be back. Ordered the seafood boil "Combo #2" to-go...when I got home and opened that plastic bag and saw ONE crag leg claw and about 6-8 shrimps and the smallest potatoes I was completely done. It was clear I was pranked! Also they will need to make improvements to who they have answering the phones and who takes the order. If you get the young lil girl that has a difficult time articulating your order you're in trouble. And check your order before you leave as seafood is NOT cheap and one claw will have you "Hangry"! Their claims are that it's by the "pound". Not sure what their weighing but it's sure not the actual crab legs. Ordered the shrimp & fry basket. Very small portion of fries, the shrimp was so greasy I couldn't finish it. The shrimp also tasted like frozen dinner food. They were nice enough to exchange it for the gumbo. The cup of gumbo ( normally a whopping $9.99) has GREAT flavor BUT it's ALL Broth!!! Not one single shrimp, sausage, piece of chicken, or even slice of Okra. $17.00 later, I'm still hungry & I'm staring at a full daiquiri that tastes like off brand Hawaiian Punch from the school cafeteria. I got combo #4 with a daiquiri (mixed with pineapple, strawberry and mango) the drink was the only good thing. I was already pissed I spent that much on something that was beyond disgusting! The gumbo is amazing. I lived in New Orleans for 3 years and this gumbo was on par with gumbo I've had in New Orleans. The roux was well seasoned and had a perfect chocolate color to it. I also tasted the pina colada and White Russian (mixed) daiquiri. Great flavor and value. I ordered a 32oz during happy hour, so it only cost $6.50. This is my 4th time here. The fried food there is dry and greasy. I only get the boiled seafood from there which is only crabs. They are always out of everything else. This is the only seafood spot for miles in my area so I was a big supporter until today. Their customer service is horrible...from the OWNER. The cooks and cashiers are always nice. But this was my last time supporting them. I'd rather go all the way to Mr. Crab which has better seafood and keeps stock of what's on the menu and has better customer service. I have never been treated this way at any place of business. I spend so much money there and now I'm mad at myself for even giving someone who doesn't appreciate their customers as much money as I have. Workers don't give off a friendly vibe you basically have to stare them down to get their attention , ordered a #3 to go I asked how long was the wait and I was told 5 mins , I found myself sitting waiting at least 35 minutes. Food smelled so good . Got home ready to eat & the food was over cooked hard to take the complete shell off my shrimp , once I got it off the shrimp was very soggy (I gave them away) the crab legs were also hard to come out of the shell you can tell they were over cooked , sauce was nasty taste like they mixed a bunch a stuff and added a lot of water , I paid almost $40 & definitely was disappointed. My expectations were just to have some that would pacify my craving without paying too much. Well I was extremely happy with the friendly reception, plentiful amount of hot food and the good taste. I'm only giving this place 1 star because I can't give them 0. I found this place on yelp and today happens to be Valentine's day, so I figured I'd give them a try on my way home. I placed my call in order at 8:27pm and the young lady who took my order told me 20 mins. I pulled into the parking lot at about 8:35 where I sat in my car for 10 minutes waiting. I proceed to go inside the restaurant and pay for my food. The young lady who checked me out then told me it will be about 6 mins so I figure ok great. There were alot of people waiting but I figured since I called my order in, there would be no problem. Boy was I wrong!!! I looked up after 55 mins of waiting PATIENTLY and my food still had not come up!! 2 pieces of fish and 7 shrimp is ALL I was waiting on. I didn't realize how long it has been so I was super pissed. I inquired about where my order was and was told 3 more mins! I'm super livid now and that 3 mins was another 10 mins and still no food!!! At this point, all I wanted was my damn money back. They wanted me to wait another 10 mins to cook my order and give me my money back but I was furious and didn't want SHIT from this establishment. I will not return to place simply because of the lack of concern to make sure your customers, whether new or old are treated better than that.
