DISASTER I brought my RV to J's RV to remount my grey water tank. The result was very sloppy, unprofessional, and incomplete work. I requested a $500 refund to cover the cost to fix the issues. The owner Jason refused, and requested I bring it BACK to him to correct and finish the work? I have ZERO faith in J's to correct the issues they caused. Sloppy and Incomplete work includes: 1. The tank was mounted unevenly (is not level) and much lower than original and in comparison, to the black tank next to it. (As a result, will not correctly monitor water level) 2. The drainpipe is now lowest point of the undercarriage and easily dislodged if something hits it. 3. The shower plumbing was left exposed easily accessible to mice/vermin. 4. A gaping hole was left exposing the freshwater tank and plumbing also accessible to mice/vermin. 5. J's could not get the tank sensors and level monitor to work. Turns out the wires and ground were out of order. I followed the pattern on the black and freshwater tanks and now works fine. Go anywhere else! JB read more

We rented the Minnie Winnie from Jason for this past week and the whole deal was flawless. His communication was on point. He was very clear, accommodating and straight up a genuinely nice guy. I was planning a bachelorette party for my sister and she insisted on doing something different than your typical drink and party all weekend bachelorette. She has always loved the outdoors so I initially thought a camping trip would be fun, but then I remembered some of the girls are a bit bougie and would probably throw a fit having to sleep in a tent. But then my husband suggested renting a big RV for all of us to take camping. I thought it was a perfect compromise, we could still be out in the wilderness, but also have more of the comforts of home with our RV. So I started looking for a good RV rental place in San Diego. I knew I wanted one of those big bus type RV's, because they are a bit nicer and can hold more people. Every RV rental place I called had no buses available. Finally I called Js Adventure RV Rental in Santee. They said they had a bus available for the weekend of the bachelorette party. They even offered to email me a video tour and photos of the RV, and also suggested I stop by to check out the bus ahead of time. My husband and I drove over the next day to check out the RV. It was so nice, like a 5 star hotel on wheels. I signed the rental paperwork that day, I was so excited! The RV bachelorette party weekend was a huge success. This was our first time renting an RV and Jason made the experience awesome. He is quick to respond, organized and informative. We were a little nervous since this was a new experience for us but both the rental and the host were great. We used the larger RV (there was 6 of us and our dog) and it was a very comfortable stay with everything you need. Despite the size of the RV it was surprisingly easy to drive and the backup camera was helpful. Being first time RV users we of course had to call Jason multiple times with questions he already answered for us before, and he was very nice about it. We are first time RV renters and got the 23 foot 2020 Thor Chateau - the manager Chris took extra time to explain everything to me and gave great tips on how to drive and operate it . We took it for four days to Az from San Diego and it was an incredible trip . The RV was amazing - super easy for my wife and I both to drive , handled well, super comfortable and lots of easy to use features. The rental charge was a great value, the service was fantastic and the RV perfect. I researched a lot of companies but ended up here and they have a client for life now. I'm all for providing kudos when they're deserved. But while we felt we did everything right, including paying whatever was asked of us at every step, buying their extra insurance just in case, and trying to look after the vehicle like it was our own, it's not ended up being a great experience. We looked past shortcomings on checkout including the front cooling fans not working, tank sensors not working and dirty windows we had to ask to be cleaned. But kudos nonetheless to the friendly checkout person. Still, our first hint of other trouble came when we pulled into our first gas stop and upon trying to restart the engine found the battery dead. Fortunately, and while at the time not imagining we'd need it, we'd been shown the 'emergency' button to draw power from the other battery so this became our m.o. during the trip. This was also the time we realized the front cooling unit was anemic so we called to seek any assistance only to go to voicemail with no call returned. So we just lived with it. Somewhere along the way the plastic front grill just fell off, and we later discovered the windshield wipers fluid not working (not terribly surprising at this point). The coup de grace was that on the final day the check engine light came on resulting in tremendous stress not knowing if we were about to be left stranded on the side of a freeway. We were given a list of mechanical places to get assistance ourselves resulting in hours wasted on our final day to no avail (no mechanics would come and assist), and so were told to just keep driving it with the check engine light on. We'd even called the manufacturer for help (they couldn't give any) but assured us the vehicle was 100% under warranty and not to worry. We were later told it was some sort of oxygen sensor malfunction. Upon returning it, with all its failings and the trouble we had we thought with good customer service perhaps there'd be an apology, quick return of our deposit and maybe a price break or future rental consideration or something. After all, it was '100% under warranty' and we'd bought the extra damage insurance anyway for peace of mind and to avoid any hassle just in case. Weeks later, our $1500 deposit has still not been returned and now we're having to fill out forms for an insurance claim that's been made against us for the plastic front grill that fell off. I can't recommend these guys more! I came into J's Adventure Rentals for service on my RV. They fit me in within the week whereas most places were a few weeks away from an opening. When I showed up for the appointment, Christy knew who I was, what I was there for and checked me in seemlessly. I told them I lived in the RV full-time and they started work on it right away for a quick turnaround. Within the hour, I got a call back saying that it was an issue I could fix myself if I wanted! Horrible service was working with Brian the "Sales Manager". I was in conversation with him about a fifth wheel toy hauler, I went and looked at it, order a hitch and let in know that I was going to be there the next day to purchs the trailer. He said ok sounds good and I will see you tomorrom. Then 5 hours later he sends me a text saying he sold the trailer. I through I was dealing with a straightforward person / company but I was wrong.
