I hired The Brothers That Just Do Gutters in Fall 2025 to replace my existing gutters with seamless…read more6" gutters. The estimator was professional, took measurements, and provided what I felt was a fair quote. The installation crew completed the work using roof straps rather than attaching the gutters to the fascia board. This immediately raised concerns because my previous gutter system was secured to the fascia and tied into the rafters. When I contacted the company, I was told roof straps were used because I supposedly did not have a fascia board. Less than three months later, during the winter, approximately half of the front gutter detached from my house and snapped in half. Initially, I was told this was an "act of God." However, after the company inspected the installation, they discovered the roof strap spacing was significantly wider than New York recommendations, roughly 40 inches apart when spacing should have been approximately 18-24 inches. At that point, they replaced the damaged front gutter, added additional straps, inspected the rear gutters, and assured me everything else was fine. Unfortunately, a few months later I noticed one of the rear roof straps had completely detached, and the strap spacing in the back did not match the corrections made to the front. Around the same time, I contacted another local gutter company with nearly 50 years of experience for an estimate on gutter guards. During their inspection, they questioned why roof straps had been used at all because my home does, in fact, have a fascia board available for attachment. My biggest disappointment was not the initial failure itself, but the inconsistent explanations and quality concerns that followed. After spending thousands of dollars on a new gutter system, I expected an installation that would provide long-term reliability and peace of mind. Based on my experience, I would recommend homeowners thoroughly research their options, ask detailed questions about installation methods, and obtain multiple opinions before moving forward with a gutter replacement project.

For anyone out there like me who doesn't have the skill for home repair projects, HomeSquare is…read moresuch a valuable company to keep in your contacts. From the start when I placed a call to Kurt McKinney, the owner, to the final work and inspection of the tremendous job Mike Mansour did in plugging up part of the house which used to house an AC, the process was very easy and quick. Mike worked carefully and efficiently, and had everything ready to go once he got to my house. He was also very friendly, personable and easy to deal with. A real pro!

HomeSquare Pro performed annual tune-ups on our portable generator, including February 2026. In July we noticed that we had a yellow light on the charger unit for the battery for our portable. We called HomeSquare Pro and Kris O'Brien came out. For some reason, by the time he came, the lights had turned all green, indicating no problem. He mentioned that we might be interested in a battery back-up system for our solar system. We said yes, we are very interested. He was going to email some information to us but never bothered to do that. We then noticed that the light on our battery charger was indicating that we needed a new battery for our portable generator. We spoke with Kris O'Brien who indicated he would tell the office to order a new battery. We waited for 2 weeks and never heard back. We have collectively called the office and Kris O'Brien 3 separate times and no one has bothered to return our calls or even tell us if they ever ordered a new battery. We are now forced to try to find someone to help us out with this problem. If anyone is looking to use HomeSquare Pro for anything, our advice is DON'T!!! What we have experienced lately is definitely bad business practice and poor customer service. UPDATE AS OF JULY 24, 2026: Kris O'Brien contacted us and was so helpful. He offered to make everything right. It was extremely professional of him to do this for us. We apologize to him for the misunderstanding on our part. Hopefully, we can continue to be clients of Homesquarepro.
