Before the job, everything was very transparent from pricing, the work to be done, options available, etc. And the crew performing the work was extremely professional. Prior to contacting Premier, we had water issues in our basement which made our basement nearly unusable; after getting moderate rain we'd get big puddles of water. After Premier installed the french drain, the basement has become our home office, our workout room, and we can store things without worrying about water damage. Four years later, the basement has been BONE DRY ever since - no water whatsoever, no matter had hard it rains. If you're on the fence, I can say: "do it" - it's been 100% worth it for us, and has transformed the way we use our basement. Marvin the young man who ran the job site is absolutely amazing , I can't say enough good things about him . The price was a little higher than quotes that came in after I went with Premier but if I had those quotes before and could of saved 2k I would choose not to and stay with Premier mainly because of those 3 people I named. I had a foot of water in my basement after a storm, Marvin arrived and put a sump pump in to drain all the water . He got Jerry to come in and look it over for a quote. I'll post the price and work done. - Came out and drained all the water with sump pump - they demoed a whole room , taking down all the walls , heating system and doors then disposed of all the wood. -they dug , installed about 100 sq feet of French drain , poured drainage gravel on top then re-cemented over it. - they installed a 2 pump system with battery back up and alarm - they installed a moisture barrier on the entire basement - They dug a trench and ran sump line out to safe area outside - Took 3 full days to complete - they stayed until 9pm on a Friday to be sure it was 100% completed. - everything was about 15k in total If you use them make sure you ask for Marvin to do the work , he's very honest and answers all your questions without trying to upsell anything . They literally just left my house at 9pm because they wanted it finished before tomorrows rain , only thing left is Jerry was going to have someone reconnect the heating but everything water proof wise is complete. I'll update the review if there's any issues but as of this moment I've never felt better about a service.

The relationship ended before the chimney cleaning and resealing of a furnace vent into the chimney was done. However, I would recommend the following when dealing with the owner, John. These are practices that you could use with any vendor who works on your home. 1) Make sure that the proposal is broken down in terms of how much he is charging for each service (i.e. repointing, painting, chimney sweeping etc...). DO NOT accept a total cost only proposal. 2) Avoid being pushed into paying any money beyond the initial deposit before all the work is completed. 3) Do some research to determine how much his price for services compares to those charged by his peers in the area. He is an outstanding person, works on every job as if it was his Grandmother's house. Liz's attention to details is nothing short of amazing. There are times when life throws a curve ball at you and you need to adapt. Where do I even start…read more Bill and Liz sing a great song when quoting the job, but that initial meeting was the only positive interaction we had. In the initial meeting they gave us a timeline, the first date came and went without a peep from either of them, they gave a new date which came and went as did the following two all with no effort from them to tell us that they weren't coming, we had to reach out to them. Some of the excuses we got were: We fired all our employees We're finishing up a couple other jobs It's our week to have the kids They didn't seem to care at all that they were blowing us off. This alone was so infuriating that we would never work them again, but that's not even the end. At the end they gave a spiel that our patience was saving us money because they were charging us so little, so little in fact that they weren't really going to make any money off of the job. We showed them the job, and they gave us a price, which we agreed to with really no negotiations. We would have happily paid more than they quoted, but they are so poor at running a business they can't even price jobs to make a profit. In the discussions about the job we all agreed that there was some required plumbing and electrical, which they said they couldn't personally do but they would find someone. Based on those conversations we expected that piece of the project to be covered in the quoted price. However in reality what they meant was they would do the leg work to get someone to the house and we would be responsible for whatever the resulting cost was. We would have been fine with that if that had been clearly explained, but instead when it came to light what we got was "this is how we always do it" and "we get this mix up a lot"; but apparently they can't be bothered to be up front about it. Then, 4 weeks after parting ways we finally received a letter from them which should have been a refund check since they did practically nothing. Instead we got an invoice that among valid line items they listed out 6 hours of phone calls to line up a plumber/electrician, and a cancellation fee after they couldn't be bothered to show up, four weeks after the original date they gave us. All said and done, working with them was incredibly frustrating, and a genuine waste of time an money. We wouldn't recommend Bill and Liz to our best enemy.
