It's always late at night and usually raining when you need a tow. We couldn't wait 2 hours for State Farm's roadside assistance so we found James on Yelp and it was a really great experience. At 11pm he jumped in his truck and jammed over to Kaimuki from town and was able to jumpstart the car so we didn't have to tow but his tow price was reasonable and then even the service call charge since we didn't have to tow. I had the worst time dealing with this guy today, he is EXTREMELY unprofessional and crazy rude. Please consider any other towing service before you support this joke. I broke down in a dangerous spot (not a lot of shoulder for him to park) so at his request and at high risk to my personal safety I moved my scooter to a safer spot. I updated him with GPS coordinates with live tracking data and photos of my new location. I minute or so after I realized that I could now safely walk 10 minutes to my work with a larger parking lot and a much safer location for the both of us, a 3 minute drive around the corner (max) for him, so I updated him on the meetup spot, again with photos and live gps coordinates, and started walking. He had given me a 30-40 minute ETA so I didn't think it'd be a problem, and that he'd prefer the safer location. We end up arriving at my work at the same time. He whips his POS truck (not a tow truck) super fast around me, parks, then gets out of his truck and starts rudely telling me how I should have stayed where I was, how he shouldn't be expected to look at his phone while trying to find me, and how I was an idiot for moving, complaining about how much effort it took him to find me. Mind you we're talking about 2-3 minutes drive for him around the corner from the original spot. And this was something I did AT HIS REQUEST AT MY OWN PERIL. I told him I didn't need any of his attitude and reminded him he's the one who asked me to move, to which he got even more angry, continued to call me names, and then asked me if he should leave, to which I said absolutely yes. I don't care how cheap this guy is, or how much he's undercutting his competition. He's not worth your money. And the kicker is there was no need to move in the first place. As mentioned, he showed up in a regular truck, not a super wide tow truck, so there was enough sidewalk for him to park in the original location. This guy is total trash and made a bad situation even worse. Please go elsewhere!!! read more

This review is long overdue. In Feb 2024, we just got an older variant that was in very good shape. However, the starter was pretty worn so the car wouldn't turn on after just a few days of our new ownership. My insurance reps were crap and said they couldn't get anyone to come tow our car. All I needed was someone to tow it a block to the Goodyear that was near our place. Frustrated with my insurance, I quickly searched on Yelp for good tow services. JT popped up and I decided to give him a call. He answered and said he could get to Kaimukī in about 20min. And yes he did! Very nice guy and efficient. Got me where I needed to be all in 30min or less! On top of that, the parking at Goodyear was full, but he maneuvered the tow truck with my car attached so perfectly. Very reliable service and gave me a good deal. He even offered to talk to my insurance rep if they questioned anything about the tow. He also provided a receipt and his contact info. Hands down THE BEST towing company I've ever dealt with. It was 5 in the morning on my way to work on the H3 when the states highway divisions negligence on a steel plate sliced my tire. I called James and explained the situation. At first I asked if he could tow me onto base which he explained it might be difficult for him to get on. I told him if he could just tow me somewhere safe so I could put on my spare tire. H3 is a real sketchy place to be in replacing my tire and it was still dark out. He told me no worries he can help block a lane and put my spare on no problem. He got there QUICK, he arrived no later than 30 mins and replaced my spare no less than 10 mins! James is THE MAN, super cool guy and A GRADE work. I have his number saved and will be my GO TO guy to call for any type of towing services. Appreciate it again braddah James! read more

Super local guy, James, picked up and I told him my situation and he was helpful and honest. He said 30 mins. to get to me but it was only 15mins I think. Really great guy and helped me tow my car. The only tow company willing to pick up my vehicle stuck at an intersection at 1:30am in the morning that did NOT DEMAND cash up front and he also drove me home after towing my vehicle to Lex Brodies. We stopped CPB to make a withdrawal and I gave an extra $20 tip. All the others that answered the early morning call demanded cash up front or they were not coming. James is now my number one guy to call for any roadside service on Oahu. My car wouldn't start in Manoa and he was nearby and asked me if I was having trouble. I even had a portable jumpstarter, but the car wouldn't budge. I was on the phone with my insurance company jumping through lots of hoops and they told me it would be 3 hours before someone would get out there. Out of the kindness of his heart, he offered to go home and get his tester/jumpstarter. He came back in less than 10 minutes with his truck. He checked out the battery and determined that it was just the battery. Then he told me that O'reillys auto parts would sell me a battery and probably replace it for free. He didn't even try to sell me anything. He got my car started and asked for NOTHING in return. He just helped out someone who was in need. It's the least I could do to tell others about him. I've only been on the island for 3 years, and I've dealt with all kinds of businesses related to my car. There are few people I would recommend without any qualification. He answered my call on early Saturday morning. He was careful about asking me my exact location so he knows what size truck to bring, made sure to check whether I have an all wheel drive or front wheel, as to not damage my car during towing; he also helped me with connecting with a few of his friends at the Honda service center. I called around 7:45 AM on a weekday needing an immediate tow, because my car wouldn't start even with a jump. James showed up within 20 minutes, as promised. He was clearly skilled and knowledgeable. He was able to put my car in neutral and maneuver my car out of my building's garage and hook it to his tow truck quickly and easily. He offered for me to ride with him or not. I needed to stay where I was. James texted me to let me know when he had dropped off my car to the designated repair shop successfully. He charged me $40 less than the person who towed my car the same distance the prior week. He accepts credit cards, Venmo, and cash. (Many towing companies only accept cash.).
