I inquired other tow company before going with this company. Liberty Tow was the company I chose to tow my 1981 chevy truck from my home to a mechanic shop. I was given a great price, and it was very competitive and reasonable. I had scheduled a repair for the truck, and needed it towed, a week in advance... I was told to call for Service. On the day of my scheduled repair, on a friday, I called many times, and kept getting a answering machine. I left message, after message, and no return call. Finally around 12ish, afternoon some female answered the phone. I told her I had previously called the week before for a tow. I asked if they will be available for tow my truck. She explained that they were short drivers, and they were busy with other things, and cannot tow. Now I was scrabbling, and was desperate. I asked if they could refer my to another tow company, and she says no. She even explained to me that they only her and the Husband owned this company, and in the process of selling it. After 4 hours being dcked around by incompetent State Farm people and 2 failed tow truck services, I got sick of waiting and looked for to my fellow Yelpers for tow truck help. My entire right front wheel came off as I was coming down the Waikiki Plaza Garage. Tho had the right tow truck and equipment and was there in TWENTY MINUTES of me calling to get me and my car out safely and efficiently. None of that 75/90minute bull from those other tow trucks! When Tho and his lovely wife got the call to come rescue me, they were actually on their way home to their kids! They even put the box of diapers they had just bought into the back of the truck to make room for me by taking my emergency call. They were friendly and helpful from the very beginning, and I should have just gone with them and paid out of pocket to begin with, since State Farm would reimburse me for their failed roadside attempts. Tho recommended taking my vehicle to a shop he trusted rather than towing it all the way home to Exit 2 and then paying again for it to be towed to another shop in the morning. He took the time to help me empty my car and also secure the wheel to the suspension using his own straps, so that the car frame wasn't resting on the wheel itself. He also reiterated that I was lucky this happened in a parking deck rather than on the highway going 55mph. Tho and his wife stayed with me until my husband arrived at the shop to pick me up. My husband was extremely grateful to them for being so caring, compassionate, thorough, and kind. I wish I could do more to thank them than just write a 5-star review. Thought it would be a good life lesson to learn how to call a tow truck. She found them online and placed the call. Khan then came very quickly and actually was very fast in hooking up the car. He gave us some recommendations on how to fix. I told him the part that was broken on the car was not on the island, he then made a few calls to see if he could find the part for me. I'm so happy to support local in these hard times. I went to Costco to ask for a tire and they quote me over $350 for one Michelin... and $420 for 2 of a different brand. I know Costco and Sam's are usually cheapest but I decided to shop around and I'm so glad I remembered my friend told me about Liberty... I went there and they have so many brands for about 1/2 the price. The owner Khanh was so nice and checked out my AC while I was there, because I told him it wasn't blowing super cold. He told me what the problem was, and was so honest and said I should just wait until it stops working and then he will fix it for me. Most shops will just put some Freon and charge you $250. He really cares about good service. He was talking to us about tires and prices and he really knows his stuff. He was able to help me out today and I will always bring him my business from now on. Sweet deal! Tow helped me once and now they helped me out again! My vehicle would not start its engine, so after a few calls, I got connected with Liberty Tow and once again a service guy got me out of a bind and jump-started my car battery with a compact Tesla in less than an hour! The jump-start only cost me $50 and he checked my alternator and recommended Battery Bill's for a charge-up and/or new battery installation. Owned by the Le's, they are a dynamic duo who took the utmost in car to ensure that my friend's van was safely towed to Kaneohe from town in the darkness of night! They didn't try to stiff us and made sure they asked the insurance carrier if they were any mileage limits to make sure we didn't get stuck with a big bill. They also tried to help diagnose the problem when the jump didn't work. They could've just hooked up and got paid more, but they wanted to make sure we were taken care of properly. My motorcycle clutch assembly broke while I was coming home from work. I was stuck just outside downtown at about 3am, with no tools, no lighting, and no idea WTF just happened to my ride. I had to wait until daylight, but Liberty Tow helped me out. They have a special flatbed for expensive vehicles, or motorcycles. The guy, Khanh, has a special lodging piece to make sure that the motorcycle will stay upright during the tow. Keep in mind, they don't use the flatbed during the night, because of liability and the problems with sight at night. All in all, I trust these guys to do a good tow and to drive safe. read more

Awesome sevice, cheapest tow of all the places i called. I needed to have my motorcycle towed from waikiki to montgomery powersports off dillingham highway. my insurance doesnt cover tows so i had to pay out of pocket and it was $90. Not to bad everyone else was quating me well into the $100's. As i was on the phone with Amber who was very helpful and polite, she was talkin with the driver right then and there so he was actually able to come pick it up rather quik. Tho the driver was at my house within the hr. Had my bike on the back of the flatbed and we were gone. Tho was awesome very nice and helpful. Got a couple of quotes that were outrageous and one that was reasonable but couldn't get to me till a couple of hours later. Then I contacted Liberty Tow Hawaii and I'm so happy I did. They were very reasonable and affordable. After speaking to Amber, I felt confident that they were going to take care of me. Not only did they come when they said they were, but after we dropped off my car to the mechanic, they asked me which direction I was headed. I told them that I could catch the bus, but they offered to drop me off at work especially since they were headed in that direction. Got my '07 Toyota transmission flushed here. I have to say this will be my new go to company for all my car repairs. Amber knows what she's talking about with cars and made me feel more comfortable. And they don't nickel and dime you unlike other places its a set price. My car now runs way better since changing the transmission fluid. The only thing they gotta start doing in safety checks.
