After about 8 or 9 years we began to notice that the foundation was moving, and that the flooring was moving away from the walls, that's when *I went to the county to see who had inspected the foundation. It turns out they did not have the foundation inspected, they didn't even pull permits.* 3. They rushed us back into the home after exactly a year, because the insurance company was not going to pay for us to stay in hotel rooms or temporary housing longer than a year. The outside of the house wasn't caulked, there's trim missing in some places, etc. 4. Certificate of Completion (or Certificate of Substantial Completion) was never produced or signed. 5. I have made contact with the company and tried to solve this issue with the floor. They have refused to make good. Avoid these people like the plague. Even if the insurance company recommends them. They will off take any job thrown at them which results in them spreading themselves so then they are unable to finish the work in a timely manner. Everything is rushed, steps are skipped for speed and convenience. Caveat Emptor

If you want to be taught a lifetime of hard lessons in home reconstruction, hire this company…read more Back in May 2025, after a major sewer flood, my homeowners insurance referred me to this company for mitigation work. After discussing the repairs, I verbally agreed to a contract around June 2025. Mitigation started immediately, and we were told repairs would follow right after demolition. Because 75% of our home was affected, my family of six (four people, two dogs) relocated to a motel for almost a month, trusting that the work would move quickly. After no repairs happened, and after spending over $6000 on housing, we moved back home. From July through the end of August, our home was left with framed walls, concrete floors, one toilet, one sink, and unsafe electrical hazards (live exposed wiring, arcing outlets and broken outlets). Myself and two of my children were repeatedly shocked by outlets, one of which randomly sparked when it wanted to. Despite repeated notifications to the company, nothing was done. We lived like this while being told to "be patient" because other projects took priority. Towards the beginning of September, I was told they were finally ready to move forward. On September 12th, I met with them, handed over 90% of my insurance payout as an advance payment, and officially signed a contract. After that, communication became nonexistent. I ended up calling my insurance company to see what was going on with the project because the company would not answer my calls. In mid-October, the company showed up unannounced, moved my belongings into storage pods, and took items to be cleaned - some that never needed cleaning--like metal barstools outside the flood area. I was sick that day, yet the company insisted on proceeding, leaving me unable to verify what was taken. I still cannot locate over $3,000 worth of snowboarding supplies and other items. By the end of October, after several months, my home remained partially demoed, with 1 toilet, 1 sink, and no furniture, while my belongings were in storage. No beds, couches, chairs, tables, etc. The site supervisor finally met with me and: * Refused to take responsibility for the electrical hazards, calling them "existing conditions." *claimed that the foundation work (simple patches) needed for flooring install could only be done by a licensed foundation contractor approved by their company, adding a 20% overhead. * Said the extra work verbally agreed upon months prior was no longer possible. *Told me to continue being patient, as three other projects still took priority over mine. They then offered to mutually rescind the contract and "return my money" , but only if I signed a liability waiver and confidentiality clause, which would waive them from responsibility for any damages and prevent me from ever speaking about my awful experiences. I refused to sign it for obvious reasons I also explained numerous times that without getting my advance payment back I could not hire an electrician to fix the hazards. Yet, they withheld my entire advance payment until Christmas Eve, which was one day prior to me, being able to file a complaint with CCB. They also didn't produced invoices to justify the amount they ultimately witheld. My family and I, including three teenagers, two dogs, and six cats, were forced to live in unsafe conditions, with ongoing electrical hazards, missing items, and no real progress on our home, while also being pressured into signing liability releases to get our own money back. Tring to do business with this con outfit has been nothing short of a nightmare. If there are any other families who have experienced the same abuses, I would love to talk to you. Do NOT trust this company.

For two weeks after that, I received no follow-up, and when I re-contacted the account manager to ask for a list of what had been submitted, the answer right out of the gate was "we don't do that", in what could be described as a disinterested DMV-employee voice. When I continued to plead my case that I wasn't interested in the dollar amounts yet, just the scope of the work that they had recorded at the walkthrough, you know, in case something had been missed, he shut down and only repeatedly replied with "okay, sir", now in disdainful IRS-employee type voice... the kind that tells you in no uncertain terms that they couldn't care less what you want. I will admit that, after living with holes in my roof for two weeks during the rainy season and getting zero communication, I was frustrated, and I voiced my frustration and displeasure at my request being flatly ignored. I was mad, but I never once swore at him, or called him names, or anything of the sort. Today (Jan. 8th), in a text message, I reminded him that I still had not received an email listing the damage and deficiencies they had recorded, and that I was irritated that he did not seem to be taking my case seriously. To this, he gave me the same flat answer that they were waiting on insurance, and was not going to email me, concluding that he was "uncomfortable with the hostility" and was "backing out" of the project. Servpro of Medford/Ashland abandoned me with holes in my roof for two weeks in the middle of winter because I was upset that they wouldn't tell me what they intended to fix. Servpro doesn't care a bit about helping me, and they don't care about you either.
