Ok place, food was decent. Our waitress was less than interested in serving us. I was trying to ask for something and she was walking away as we were taking. I was seated and I said, "oh excuse me" (because I forgot something).... and she kept walking away from me. My sons kiddie cocktail the first time it came out had a very small amount of grenadine and no cherries! What's a kiddie cocktail without cherries!! His second drink came out with cherries. We weren't given any silverware, I had to ask. The food took a long time to come out, could have been because of what we ordered but I am not certain. Good place to go for a quick drink but not a family type place if you have a needy group who will need constant refills and need extra napkins. Took a while to get drinks refilled as well. Warm pretzels were great, but you only receive 3. Friday's has the same appetizer but you receive 4 for the same price. The chicken tenders were a huge portion and good, the burger was good as well. We had three different people serve us. I will not be coming back here, I really wanted to like this place but not a fan. The waitress is what really killed the rating. Huge thank you to JT's Corner Tap for great service, facilities and food. My daughter's softball team had a tournament nearby and we needed a spot for a team/family party. Manager David couldn't have been more delightful to work with. No charge for the private room or pool tables, ease of ordering for a large group/separate checks, and perfect recommendations for appetizers to get this party started.I wish I remember the servers name but everyone commented how nice she was and how well she handled our big group. The food is good and drink specials are reasonable. I like the vibe of JT's and the staff is really friendly. They have several good options for kids. Kitchen can be a little slow when it's busy, but at least the food quality is consistent. We have come in with large groups of adults and kids after our kids sports games, and they handle the crowd as well as could be expected. They even have a nice grassy area out back where the kids can throw a football around, or just hang out without being disruptive in the restaurant. The owner is frequently on site, and actively checks in with his customers to see how they are doing, and if their experience is meeting expectations. If I could give this bar no stars I would. The server spilled on my friend didn't even bother apologizing. They said they had to close at 10 because they weren't making any money. My boyfriend and I recently discovered this little gem last week! After a long day at work, I did NOT feel like cooking, so we went hunting around Carol Stream for food (we just moved here). We found this place and thought "Eh, why not? Bar food is bar food." NOPE. The food here is actually REALLY EFFING GOOD. My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised. We had the BBQ Bacon Burger with the onion rings & a Turkey BLT with tater tots. It was all phenomenal. And our bartender was a doll. We didnt catch her name, but she was this brunette bartender that worked Thursday night (8/23). She honestly was fabulous (she was on point with napkins & refilling our drinks) and even invited us to the Pig Roast they had yesterday (which we also went to). Great food, great service! I'll start off by saying this place wasn't bad. I won't return though. I was disappointed in the selection of beers on tap. I was expecting something more unique than miller lite and summer shandy. The food was also lack luster in choices. I knew it was mostly bar/american fare, but there weren't many options if you didn't want a sandwich. Maybe i should have done better research about this place, but with the positive reviews & and a place with the word "tap" in the title, I figured it would be an easy win. Eh. Not a big fan. The bartender was a sweet heart. The food was not much to get excited about. I had potato skins with a side salsa. The salsa was bland and had no taste. The potato skins were ok. I've gone 4 times in under a month because the food was so good...except for the last time. Beer battered cheese curds were perfect temp, ( yeah we've all had the I'm starving& not gonna wait for the molten lava cheese to cool lapse in better judgement) toasty crispy melty goodness with a side of ranch dip. Spicy chicken sandwich was ok, chicken was cooked perfectly but needs a crispier crust& more flavorful not just searing heat spice blend, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, mayo on a buttery soft brioche bun. Hubs had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich& commented that it was good but needed a heartier portion of steak, pasta salad side was very fresh& tasty. Nice little joint. However, the staff and the service are definitely not up to standards. First off, the waitress sighed out loud after we told her seperate checks. Yes i know, it can be a pain, but hey it's part of your job so get over it. Next the wait for our food took so long for it to be annoying. The tables were dirty when we arrived, and the same table next to us remained dirty even til we left. the only reason that they are getting any stars at all is because of the chicken wings. They're pretty good for Pub wings. I'll give them another chance before i fully decide if this place is worth the trouble. p.s The fries are...edible. mcdonald's are better. read more

Service at the bar not very good. I was at JT on a wednesday and a monday. No drink special items for me but ordered the same thing both days. The amont was drasticly different. I seemed to have to beg to get a drink. The bartender seemed to be to bisy acting like she wad busy. I dont understand how they price the drink. Why on monday is a premium bourban the same as makers mark but on wednesday its double the price? There seems To be some regulars that hang out at the bar and seem to consume the amount of mind space that the bar tender has. It is very unfortunate this place is so hohum. We've eaten lunch here twice. Both times the food was very good. I'm always a little nervous ordering the fish when we eat out but both times I had the fresh fish special and both times it was very tasty. My husband had the brisket sandwich and the second time had a chicken sandwich and enjoyed both. The servers were friendly and the food was delivered quickly. We'll definitely be back. read more

After visiting this place several times and always having a great experience,(the wings are fantastic), I decided to take a group of 8 there. We met at a house, each had 1 beer and headed over. So we get there and and we get this like 21 year old male server whose first question was,"where did you guys come from because it looks like you guys had a few already"..huh? Then he proceeds to talk to all our wives (we are all in our 50's) like their pre schoolers and being condescending and arrogant. He repeats his stupid question several times. Then we see him talking to the manager and they both are staring at our table. No one was loud or causing an issues. After being treated like like this for 15 minutes and him bringing up their liquor license, I spoke to the owner or manager in disbelief how he is speaking to everyone and insinuating we're all drunk. Everyone there all said never before have they ever been treated so rudely in their entire lives. We all had ordered food as he took our orders like he was talking to 3 year olds. By then, we had enough and went to Bulldogs next store and spent our 3-4 hundred there. Before leaving, I told told the manager the whole story and he just stood their in disbelief, pretty much said nothing, while this little schmuck stood next to him and giggled. My guess is the server (if you can even call him that) is a relative of the owner because theirs no reason any sane tavern would have such a person serving people. Like I said, Ive had previous good experiences here and enjoyed the atmosphere ect so more than likely you wont have this problem and hopefully they will dismiss this smartass. I rarely write reviews but sometimes when something is so good or so messed up, you gotta take the time. I will probably go back because I cant hold it against the pub that one little dweeb is a reflection of the entire place but you better believe if I see him still working there then, We certainly wont go in.. My husband and I went here a couple of times last week, and were so impressed! They were hosting a fundraiser for our church, so the first time we went for dinner the place was very busy. The waitresses were obviously overwhelmed, however, the cooks in the back actually came out and pitched in serving food. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the facility was clean. After reading negative reviews and thinking of the service we had at other establishments we went to in the area we just had to give our take on the place. 1. Quite an extensive beer menu. 2. Good food, chicken sandwich and a burger the first time and a salad and chicken fingers (which were awesome-get buffalo sauce for dipping-YUM) the second time. 3. Clean facility (very important to us!). The second time we went (early on a Saturday) we were pretty much the first ones there. Excellent. The service, the food, the atmosphere. We met the owner and that was quite an experience. He told us his other place in Lombard was having a fundraiser for students from a local high school that were injured while they were having a bonfire. He told us how he does all of this for his sons, and the community. Bottom line, give it a try......(you might see us there LOL) read more
